Chimapeters:Thank you ooo. I know that common sense is not common. And that poster was/would be a role model to somebody. |
omadaa:So she should wait till damage was done before acting. Medicine after death? Please people stop reasoning like uncivilized creature, and start behaving like a civilize human being. I'm sure if any male insults your mum, daughter or sister you wouldn't be happy about it. Let's all start shunning inappropriate comment online. All this behavior transcends to our everyday live in this country and even shows its ugly face in Nigerian politics. |
lilprinze:You hit it right in the head. True talk! |
TPAND:To answer your question, Ethiopia is the second largest most populated country in Africa, next to Nigeria. Roughly about 93 million. Be an agent of change from corrupt ways, shun ruthless corrupt leaders. Stop portraying your idiocy online by arguing blindly to castigate present administration. I am definitely sure you didn't oppose Jonathan government aggressively as you're now. |
sucess001:So they should pass the law to weaken the agency so looters can thrive and your unborn generation can continue to languish in pain and sorrow. What a brainless human being you're. I smh for you and your generation. |
seunmsg:Honestly this people have no shame. Well said my friend. |
cktheluckyman:How much den give you to buy your soul and morality? |
CHILD ABUSE !!! PLEASE STOP PARADING THIS ON FRONT PAGE. |
@ Seun, please stop tribalism on Nairaland. We are all Nigerian after all. This madness need to stop, it's time we all start working together to move forward. Please start removing post that have segregation and tribal connotations. Thanks |
Adaure4ever:Will you ask people to forgive him if it was your daughter, sister or mother that was assaulted ? |
humanbeing4th:Your comment amazes me and I wonder what will be your response if this happen to you or your relatives. Brutality has no place in the society and should be shunned by all. |
Op what are you smoking ? |
Ayibaba1:Thank you for this comment! It amazes me how some people think. In the USA, companies will get fines for misrepresenting their product not to talk of involving in fraudulent deals. I know everybody still remember the case of BP oil spillage few years back. They were fined $18.7 billion for environmental damages. And I know more lawsuits might still be in the making. Some companies had to settle out of court recently for not paying their specialist overtime pay. |
I think someone must have been mentally derailed or retarded to have celebrated a looter. Who knows they might be suffering from amnesia as well. People are suffering and dying everyday because of mismanaged and looted resources, and someone could think of calling a thief a “hero”. Why not just call the armed robbers and kidnappers our hero? Please shun corruption and stop celebrating individuals or organization that stole our resources. |
This is very inspirational story. Thanks for sharing, this can also be some sort of hope and courage for most people out there seeking an employment. |
Pls, Op if you reporting a criminal case, can you do us a favor of not covering their faces. Let the world see who they are. Thanks |
Please op, kindly correct the title of your post. I watch the video posted and I see no where during the interview that Buhari mentioned stabilizing oil price. Are people becoming more lazy nowadays that they fail to listen, and read about the claim before passing judgment?. |
Nairalander, I am seeking your help in a passport situation that involves my mother and the Nigeria Immigration Services at Ikoyi. Few days ago she was at the Ikoyi office to get her international passport, in which she paid about #30,000 (Naira) to the officer. So after doing all the necessary procedure, she was told that the passport will be ready the next day, so on her getting home we realized that one digit in her DOB was wrong, so she called the officer to let him know about the error, so he can have it corrected. At first, the officer insisted on her going to Abuja in getting it fixed, so I called him myself and he said he'll see what he can do. When I called him back few days later as requested, he said he wants another #29,000 (Naira) making the total of #59,000 (Naira). To me this additional price is ridiculous since the passport has not left their office, why would she have to pay another #29,000 (Naira) to get a single digit corrected. Please Nairalander, if you know the contact to CGI David Parradang or any top ranking officer at the NIS, you can help forward this post to the appropriate authority that can intervene on this matter. I have called the abuja office and the number is not working. All help will be appreciated. |
This News was excerpt from CNN, Chadian troops have rescued 85 Nigerians kidnapped last week by the Islamist terror group Boko Haram, security and human rights sources in Nigeria said Saturday. Dozens of Boko Haram insurgents stormed the Doron Baga fishing and farming village on the shores of Lake Chad late Sunday through Monday and took away 97 young men and boys plus several women, residents said. The raiders killed 28 residents and burned scores of homes, according to residents. The hostages were loaded onto motorboats and ferried into neighboring Chad, with residents saying they feared the hostages would be forcefully conscripted as foot soldiers. Chadian security officials reported intercepting a convoy of buses carrying 85 Nigerians" believed to have been kidnapped by Boko Haram terrorists from Baga," a Nigerian security source said. "The convoy being led by six Boko Haram gunmen was stopped on the Chadian part of the border along Lake Chad for routine checks and the huge number in the convoy raised suspicion," said the source, who asked not to be named because he was not authorized to speak on the issue. An official of the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) in Maiduguri confirmed the rescue of the 63 male and 22 female hostages. The source, who asked that his name not be used, said more than 30 hostages were still being held by Boko Haram. He said their captors sped off with them in motorboats when they spotted the convoy being questioned by Chadian soldiers. Boko Haram has been waging a five-year armed insurgency to create an Islamic state in northern Nigeria. The group has carried out series of abductions, including the April kidnapping of more than 200 schoolgirls from a boarding school in the town of Chibok. Boko Haram uses its hostages as conscripts and sex slaves, according to authorities. They say Boko Haram has killed more than 12,000 people and displaced more than half a million residents.. |

This goes to the proponent of adoption, **I would like to ask you, how many child have you adopted lately? **How many childcare home have you visited in the last 1 month? **How many kids begging in the street have you stopped and cared for? Even within your neighborhood, how many kids that's not your own have you help pay daycare, school fees and so on. To the Op, everyone has a right to believe in whatever you feel comfortable with, but come to think of it, will you help your friend pay for this child school fees, and how many times do you think you will help him with this unborn child finances. I am not saying you should give him the money or not. But check yourself, are you judging your friend and making him pay for his mistake.Everyone living on this planets are murderer in one way or the other, you might not see it that way but the truth is that some of the animals you deliciously enjoyed in your meal today were given birth to just like human being, it's someone's child you just ate. I bet you don't see it that way. And to you all hypocrites, I believed at one point in your life, you have sinned and indirectly done evil to someone, either knowingly or unknowingly. But it all depends if you accept that fact or not, the truth of the matter is that you all are guilty of one crime or the other, well some of you hypocrites might actually have the belief that you're a saint. I hope you could seek knowledge and see this planet Earth differently. Well, I am not encouraging every unwanted baby to be aborted neither am I in support of sex without contraceptives, but please do everyone a favor, by not aggravating someone's problem by imposing your ideologies on them. |

Onyango Obama, 67, said he would call the White House to arrange bail, after being stopped on Friday in the US state of Massachusetts, says a police report. A half-brother of the president's late father, he is being held without bail, subject to an immigration order. Police said the Kenya native was arrested after driving through a stop sign and nearly hitting a police car. Mr Obama was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and failure to yield the right of way. rest of story here: http://www.nairaclassified.com/?topic=374.msg377#msg377 |
