A 20-year old girl drowned to death in Dubai after her father stopped lifeguards from saving her because he did not want her to be touched by strange men.



According to DAILY MAIL, the unnamed Asian man allegedly preferred to let his daughter die than have her 'dishonoured' by rescuers, according to police.

Explaining how it all happened, Lt Col Ahmed Burqibah, Deputy Director of Dubai Police’s Search and Rescue Department, said the girl got into difficulty on a beach in the city.

''This is one of the incidents which I cannot forget. It shocked me and many others who were involved in the case. The Asian father took his wife and kids to the beach for picnic and fun. The kids were swimming in the beach when suddenly, the 20-year-old girl started drowning and screaming for help.'

''Lifeguards tried to rush into the water to help her, but the father became aggressive and pulled them away'.

''There was one obstacle which prevented them from reaching the girl... the belief of this Asian man who considered that if these men touched his daughter, this would dishonour her. He told them that he prefers his daughter being dead than being touched by a strange man''.

The father has been prosecuted for preventing the rescue teams from saving his daughter's life.

Okay! I know some have been lucky to benefit from genuine Jumia promos. Such people are however few. There is hardly an hr I don't browse through Jumia. However, I've noticed that before deceiving people with mischievous vouchers, they
1. inflate the price of their products before publishing such voucher "fireworks ".
2. They limit the use of their vouchers to goods they can easily inflate prices such as phones, TVs, fridges, etc.
3. Their "35%, 20% blah blah off" tags na wash. They keep increasing price, strkethrough it and put their usual price. They need to learn from eBay.
4. Or is it their lie lie clearance sales with "80% off"? I laugh in Arabic.
Am I alone here or someone shares my opinion?

I can't use it while charging; it heats up as hell.

I play clash of clans and besides getting heated , it charges backwards.

I noticed that my fire never shows me the total phone storage in file manager. It only shows details of sd card and nothing for phone memory. Plus, I switched my phone to use phone mem as default storage but uc web won't save images. It tells me saved but when I try to open, it says file does not exist. Any help?

I went through many post listing the states owing their workers and Kaduna appears to be consistently excluded. Well, last year January, about 2000 teachers were recruited and till today, their first 4 months salary has not been paid. It appears the government have swept it under. Plus, this is besides others arrears owed several other civil servants and pensioners. So... Any such post should add up Kaduna.

Pls help me. My tecno hangs at tecno logo and would not boot into recovery after pressing the power and vol. bottoms. i hav used a lot of custom rom b4 but decided to download and flash the stock rom. its over a month now and its been working smoothly. Did mine in Kaduna. Accreditation and filing of our names were done quite slowly. They kept us seated in the ground from 7am till abt 11am when the sun we were made to face was becoming unbearable. A few phone calls came in and so some were picked out and favoured to do theirs quicker. I was not asked any question at the main interview hall. There, it was more organized and faster as we had chairs to seat. Thank God Almighty for everything. He is the only One that has the power to allow anyone tamper with my appointment. I think you should not risk it. more opportunities will surely open. However, if you still want to go, u may go through night bus on Monday after exams and return on Tuesday to kd through night bus.
