amaniro: A 30 year-old-woman, Chinyere Onuara, has been nabbed for pretending to be blind and receiving alms from unsuspecting members of the public. Speaking with newsmen at the Ondo State Correctional Home in Akure where she was held in custody, Chinyere claimed to have left Ebonyi for Akure few weeks ago to assist a blind friend to collect arms but the deal did not sail through on getting to the Ondo state capital. https://www.google.com/amp/dailypost.ng/2018/02/11/fake-blind-beggar-arrested-ondo/amp/ I hate ethnic bigotry but your chest beating is getting much. Is that fake beggar also a Fulani or Hausa woman? 8 Likes 1 Share |

seunmsg: Exactly. They should declare the results as it were before the suspension. The aggrieved should go to court to retrieve their mandate if they feel the mandate is theirs. INEC has no power to cancel elections in Nigeria. 14 Likes |

EastGold: You're so right bro. I can remember how Hon. Tunde Akogun, the man who later became the House leader won in 2007 when Presidential and National Assembly elections were still being held different days. His boy (man) came to the polling unit and told whoever cared to listen that elections had already been concluded in Abj and that Akogun had already won. He told us not to bother ourselves waiting for materials. Materials later arrived around 5pm and before 6:15pm, those PDP guys in my area were already looking for a way to snatch the ballot boxes and papers. It took the intervention of the fearless AC guys who stood their ground. Last last, they took the ballot boxes away (to INEC office to avoid snatching) before 6:30pm when just few people had voted. The next day we heard Akogun had been announced as the winner of the polls. This scenario alone makes me hate PDP so much. Yet some people are here telling us Yakubu is worse than Iwu. 23 Likes 3 Shares |

EastGold: I bet the guy you quoted wouldn't reply this. I'm surprised they're calling Yakubu the worst Chairman when under him, PDP is about winning fourteen States and APC also winning fourteen States with AAC claiming one. During their time in govt, there was nothing like inconclusive election simply because they always rigged the election such that there wouldn't be any need to have inconclusive polls. Under this man, at least we now see margin of defeat being around 100 to 5000 which wasn't obtainable during the time of Iwu. 45 Likes 2 Shares |

senatordave1: They insulted me as well for telling them there was no way Atiku would defeated Buhari on the Northeast and North Central. As for Kogi State though, honestly, there's no way Yahaya can beat Audu's son in a free and fair contest. Audu's son would get block votes from the Eastern part of the State, the West would also support him. The Western part of the State still feel cheated after Yahaya was given the ticket. They felt it should have been handed to Faleke. He will only win the Central. I just pray they give Dino the ticket, Yahaya will beat him hands down. 2 Likes |

senatordave1: Wow. Yet they claim INEC is biased under Buhari. How can a single local govt churn out 200k votes plus? Even KMC doesn't churn out such number of votes in Kano State. PDP has been rigging elections in the South South. 2 Likes |
Politics / Re: Likely Winners In States Where Elections Are Inconclusive by donphiilopus(m): 4:16pm On Mar 12, 2019 |
senatordave1: They were only joking when they said Buhari would lose those States to Buhari. I also heard Ihedioha doesn't meet the constitutional requirements. I wonder he was returned elected. The courts would take care of that. As for Wike, he's on his way out. There's no way APC would lose Kogi unless they field Yahaya Bello while PDP fields an Igala man. But if PDP mistakenly give their ticket to an Okun man, then that's goodbye to PDP in Kogi. 2 Likes |

You guys just published it to console yourselves. How can voters turnout in a single local govt be around 280k when the whole of Bayelsa can't boast of such number of votes cast? |

kcnwaigbo: The results declared so far showed that AAC was leading in Rivers. You can say the results were written but the "written" results still stand. Suspension of the election doesn't invalidate the results. Written results brought Wike in and if same takes him out, that's fine. 3 Likes |

tuniski: Aside Kano and maybe Sokoto (which can swing either way), APC has the remaining five in the Northwest. In the Northeast, APC has three. Viz: Borno, Yobe and Gombe. Let's just assume PDP has taken Bauchi. In the North Central, APC has five States while PDP has only Benue. In the Southwest, APC has five States while PDP has only one, Oyo. APC has one in the South South, Edo. They have none in the Southeast. Add everything together. Five in Northwest plus three in Northeast plus five in North Central plus five in Southwest plus one in South South. Everything is nineteen. Should PDP lose Sokoto to APC, that means APC would have twenty. Is that clear now? 4 Likes |
