Career › Re: Should I Forfeit My Better Paying Job, For A Fg Job. by donPhill(m): 3:13pm On Jul 03, 2021 |
Onyi90: Good evening great minds of Nairaland. Please i need your honest contribution. I currently work with a private clearing company that pays me weekly allowance of #30,000 - #35,000 and a monthly salary of #60,000 totalling 180 - 200 thousand every month. However, I was among successful shortlisted candidates of a paramilitary agency recruitment exercise of the FG as a BSC holder. I made enquiry on the start up pay and discovered is around #75,000- #83,000 for my level entry. I don't know if i should go for the federal job with a lesser pay or remain with my current job. NB: Date to resume to the training camp for the FG job is just around the corner. Honest thought are welcome. Op if your current work gives you freedom and you are happy with it, I suggest you stay faithful, to the job and save then subsequently invest... The FG job has security no doubt, but if you are going with clean hands, ie not to engage in runs, I will say you will definitely cut you current budget. BTW, and honestly job hunting, is there vacancy in your company? Please help a friend... #Following |

Career › Re: Bank A Or Bank B ??? by donPhill(m): 6:07pm On Jun 15, 2021 |
harley88: Hi guys,
Pls I need the advice of the public here. I have been an ET with bank A for about 20 months now at the bank’s head office in a department I don’t like and that doesn’t have a career path. So I’d basically be doing the same thing for years to come. The pay is basically 200k which is quite comfortable monthly. I have tried changing departments within the bank all to no avail. I want to leave the Dept asap so I don’t get stuck there due to age. I’d be 25 later this year.
I started the Entry level recruitment for Bank B a month ago, maybe to start again as an ET probably in a better department with a better career outlook. Right now, I am almost into Bank B’s training school. Bank B pays lower than Bank A, but comes with better perks such as a car. But I’m worried about having to start again and lose 20 months of work experience. The issue is I’d have to be in Training school for some months and collect about 25% of my current salary monthly until TS is over. Also, I don’t know what Dept I’d be posted to assuming I take the Bank B job offer.
What advise can you give me pls?? Also note both banks are in the top four banks in the country.
Should i remain in Bank A and keep trying a change of department or a change of Bank as an experienced hire which is a very slim chance
Or
I take the ET job and start all over from Training school in bank B I will advise you stay with bank A since their pay is higher thank Bank B and the only reason is department, still having no idea if you would end up in same dept in bank B.... On the flip side, I need a job, vacancy no de even for IT in your bank? Am a graduate with no job, even na the bank security self. Help my career abeg |

ezenwaez: N-Power Batch C: Reason Why You Should Not Edit Your State & Local Government Area
A lot of N-Power Batch C applicants have been jumping into their N-Power NASIMS portal to quickly edit their state and local government area, this feat is a very risky thing to do by the N-Power Batch C applicants.
If an N-Power Batch C applicant have relocated to another state or local government area and the N-Power Batch C applicant is thinking of editing the N-Power NASIMS portal to the current state or local government area in which the N-Power Batch C applicant resides, to reflect on his or her N-Power Nasims portal profile, the N-Power Batch C applicant should not do that if the N-Power Batch C applicant have been shortlisted.
Reason is that each of the local government areas was allocated and allotted a specific number of N-Power Batch C applicants shortlisted for the N-Power batch C program, effecting changes on NASIMS (N-POWER) profile now before deployment would alter the whole database arrangements and might lead to disqualification of the affected N-Power Batch C applicant.
N-Power Batch C applicants are thereby advised to exercise patience until the N-Power Batch C applicant have been deployed to his or her place of primary assignment (PPA) then the N-Power Batch C volunteer can contact the district human resources department, or the state focal person for a change of location rather than editing your N-Power NASIMS profile before deployment. op I have an issue fa, I was not shortlisted, I just visited my dash board now and found my test scores to be 10% |
