patd113: My Brother wrote NECO last Year cuz of some financial issue he could not apply for any school so we are financially stable now and he is planning to write jamb but he is not sure if he will get admitted with this Result if he score high in jamb. Maths C6 Physics C6 Chem C6 Bio C5 English C4 agric C5 Civic C5 Animal husbandry C5 CRS C6 Certain schools consider O'levels grades, but most don't. At least I know Uniport doesn't. Provided he doesn't apply to those schools that use O'levels(they're not that many), he'll be fine He already has 5 credits in his relevant courses, his main problem is getting a high utme and post utme score. Let him calm down and get reading. His O'levels is not a problem. Good luck to him |

This is not a SCAM
This is what my Uncle has been doing for years to raise his family. He's known even in Church as someone that will help anyone get UNIPORT admission for a fee.
I just want to help him get people here Then create a thread and advertise your "sure" admission there. This is not a place for that |

Dayvidblue: I've gone through HTML and CSS and believe I have understood enough to start with but JAVASCRIPT seems so vague and incomprehensible. I'll appreciate any help guys. That's because JavaScript is where the actual programming starts. It won't be any easier. Get some JavaScript books like Eloquent JavaScript and some videos from YouTube. It'll get clearer the more you practice. |

devbits: Let me speak from both a job hunter and a programmer's experience...
In Nigeria there are more PHP jobs than Python. But me I will still stick to python and be wooing Golang. About Frontend Framework... I cant deceive you m also in this field companies both abroad and Naija Here prefer React, although some are transitioning to Vue because of simplicity but react still has the highest percentage.. as for angular those that are still using it do so because its part of their tech and transitioning may cost some cash and technical issues.
Punchline If you are in Nigeria and want fast Job no matter the language you write.... know php and a vue react @bolded, why are you still with python... and for Golang, I only hear foreigners talk about it. |

tensazangetsu20: Bros I am also in the same boat. I started learning nodejs. Dropped PHP for it since node is JavaScript and is want to spend more time mastering JavaScript but most job vacancies from big companies. Companies that can big salaries and sponsor work visas then to require c# as a language and angular as a framework. Na small startups wey no get money dey use node No clear path at all. There's more than 5 backend languages, each (Python and php at least) has more than 5 backend frameworks. That's about 25 paths to follow It's confusing making a pick. There's also the React/Vue/Angular question that also doesn't have a clear cut answer. I just tire guy. Please do well to share more of your findings as you apply for jobs, it seems shiny popular technology doesn't translate to good paying jobs |

NewSoul: Ok thank you Alexaonfleek for answering my question. I just wanted to be sure. I'm am yet to write my current school's post utme. The school I want to change to is still on sale, reg closes in 3 weeks. If I effect a change it will be my second (and I heard it can only be done twice). My fear is after doing this second change then the other gives me admission which will not reflect on caps but just on the school's portal. If I do a third change back to the 1st school that offered me admission, will it work since they are saying change of institution can only be done twice, and if it works and reverts back to my previous school and now become visible on caps, since accepting admission on caps is very compulsory. Sorry to say but you sound very confused. Sounds like you're trying to create a win-win situation and to be honest it's weirdly funny how you're going about it Why all the multiple changes? Make up your mind, read hard and shoot your best shot. I don't mean to sound harsh but guy stop jumping from school to school, dashing jamb money for COC. post your score, school and state of origin and let people advise you. Pick one of the schools advised and slug it out via hard work. Worse case scenario you fail, you won't be the first, it won't be the death of you. This your technique might lead to you losing on all fronts, hence back to where you're running away from in the first instance. Just an advice, feel free to do what you're doing. I hope it works for you |

saheedniyi22: Thanks, I would be expecting your reply on how it went. So I got it to work, however with termux not with pydroid3 terminal. The steps are: Install termux run the following commands $ apt update $ apt upgrade $ pkg install git $ git clone <repository address > $ termux-setup-storage $ cd /storage/emulated/0 to navigate to local directory. From there, navigate to your folder and execute git commands like you would on PC. I followed the directions on this website to upload my existing project to git since I couldn't remember my git commands https://www.softwarelab.it/2018/10/12/adding-an-existing-project-to-github-using-the-command-line/Everything works! Alternatively, I realized Spck editor has a great GitHub integration, like vs code level integration. Everything works with the click of a button. You can clone an existing repo, push, commit, add remote... just by adding your GitHub login details. Whichever you choose, they should both work fine. |

Taofeekdboy: In any OOP language, when you create a class, then you can create a variable name to instantiate the class e.g
Class Dog : Def ___init____(self, name, age): self. name =name self. age = age
So here you can instantiate the class dog like this
dog1 = Dog('bingo', 5) dog2 = Dog('linzy', 2)
So dog1 and dog2 are both instance of the dog class. You can read more on classes on python to understand better. OOP in python is quite confusing. Starting with "self" instead of "this" to the weird init constructor. I get what instance is, just didn't understand how it could be a property of a form. It's clear now though. Thanks for the help |
Programming › Re: For Django Developer by Donpre(m): 10:32am On Aug 13, 2020 |
fortifiedng: Instance there means that, when the user wants to update their profile, their previous information would be filled automatically.
It's like creating an instance of what was there, before you edit it.
TIP: Check the meaning of instance in the dictionary for better understanding Thanks, I finally get it now |

Deeemphasis01: good afternoon sir. Can an average student start and finish mbbs within the stipulated time, without repeating a class ? The way I hear people talking about medical school is very terrifying.i would be very grateful if you would enlighten me. Yes, of course. The fact is, although intelligence helps, med school is a whole lot more than just smart brains. So, provided you put in the work and study time, success is guaranteed. Make no mistake though, there is a lot of work, sleepless nights and a ton of reading to do. Although in my opinion, an 'average' student can't beat the competition to get into medicine. The moment that average student does that, he/she stops being average. |

Programming › Re: Pls Help. How Do I Get A Domain Name? How Do I Link My Website To The Web? by Donpre(m): 9:21pm On Aug 09, 2020 |
Firstly, if you want view your webpage on the web, you'll have to host it. There are free hosting platforms like GitHub pages and netlify but they don't let you use a custom domain name, that'll involve you paying for hosting.
Secondly, Domain name can be gotten at GoDaddy, namecheap, namesilo etc, a simple google search will provide a long list. However, it cost about $10/year or so.
If you're just learning how to code, I see no reason hosting your webpage as it'll just cost you money. |

VicThory: I planned on using post ume and some connection. I thought you had a 'D' in Biology or was that someone else? if it was you, unless you're awaiting the current WAEC that's being taken, I advised you forget about admission this year. Without 5 relevant credits in your O'levels, your connect can't do anything, also, unless your connect is 5G, your score will be hard to get you in, irrespective of a good putme score It might sound like a negative opinion but with students tearing the 340 barrier likes its 280, your score just doesn't measure up with the competition in Federal universities. |

Please I am following a tutorial on developing a website using Django please do I need data in doing all of that or where exactly does using data come in asides the Django installation part?? Unless you're installing other packages, you don't need data. As an advice tho, try to buy data when learning programming as you'll need to constantly go through the documentation and stack overflow when you get stuck. |
