What method of irrigation has she been using during dry season?

ugu sell very well where I am, my friend has been here for three years cultivating ugu and she has been selling very well. it just matter of this lock down, buyer from Lagos troop in here every four day to buy all sorts if vegetable. I live in Lagos but I farm in Ogun state. She has ugu that she has been selling before now and demand was high. This one is for both of us.

Generally, the current country's situation affected almost everything especially farm produce.

By the way, does your friend cultivate ugu all year round or during dry season only?

Does the drip system need constant pumping machine for water or an overhead tank will do?

I already contacted him but he suggested drip which will cost #220k for one acre. I think it is in the high side, I can't afford that for now, perhaps I will try and see if I can get the spray tube at cheaper rate.

I believe 2 cycles is possible in the dry season if one start by early November. Factoring a total of 6 harvest in 10-15 days interval.

Proper and adequate fertilization is key.

Why do people prefer buying in seeds to buying in pods?

Average of 60 seeds per big pod.

Yesterday, this is the range I got from 9 pods.

How much is an ideal amount to plant Ugu in an acre?

be careful how you spend money on a new project like that so it will turn out to be an endless money pit,₦800k is too much for 1 acre of ugu,with half of that amount or less you will get 4000 metres of drip₦200k,clearing,manure,seeds, digging of holes or beds₦150k,sundry expenses and fertilizer ₦50k,ugu is not everyday watering like cucumbers.

I managed an Ugu farm 2018 - 2019 very close to Papalanto and from results obtained, I think your startup cost is too high. Although I don't want to sound like a pessimist, you may not break-even given your high cost of setup. Except you setup drip irrigation system, the overhead cost of irrigating with borehole will be unbearable.
Your projections on paper may look very promising, field realities may make it hard to achieve.
