Celebrities / Your Husband Is Your Master Not Your Partner – Pastor Chris Oyakhilome by donshegzy: 12:19pm On Sep 11, 2016
post which surfaced on the Christ Embassy.Org Online Missions Facebook page has caused heated argument as to the real place of a woman in her marriage.

The post by Pastor Chris Oyakhilome’s mininstry outreach maintains that a woman and her husband are not equal hence her place is below him as a subject and he, a master.

Read the post below:

FOR THE MARRIED WOMEN AND THOSE INTENDING TO GET MARRIED, LISTEN & TAKE HEED!!

Husband does not mean the male partner in a marriage, husband means master. The reason for most problems in Christian marriages is the fact that women refute God’s definition of marriage and form theirs.

They believe they are equal partners. If most women had their fathers bold enough to talk to them, they will be very successful in their marriage and they will be very happy people. Most women have never been taught by their parents, their fathers particularly and that’s their biggest problem because they don’t know who a man is, they think he is another woman.

In marriage, you have the man who is the head of that union and because he’s the head of that union, its important to understand him. You think he’s the one that needs to understand his wife and that is where you are wrong. He will eventually but you have to know the type of man you are married to and his needs. When you say you are marrying a man, you are coming under his authority. The Bible says, the man is the head of the woman (1 Corinthians 11:3) so when you marry him you come under his authority, you are not authority sharers even though you are both heirs to the kingdom of God.When you decide not to subject yourself to that authority, you are a rebel and God is not going to accept what you are doing because you are not functioning correctly.

Why did God make the woman? Making woman was not God’s original plan because after God created Adam and before He made Eve, He said in Genesis 1:31 “Then God looked over all he had made, and he saw that it was very good”. God made woman because of man so woman was not His original idea. This is reality.Genesis 2:18a “And the Lord God said “for it is not good for a man to be alone..” The Bible didn’t say “lonely” but “alone”.

There is a big difference. Man wasn’t lonely but alone. Genesis 2:18b “…I will make him an help meet”. He didn’t say a partner or a supervisor or a special advisor or someone to tell him what to do.I will make him someone to help him. God gave man a responsibility so woman was made to help man achieve that responsibility. If this is understood in every home then you won’t have problems.I tell people that you don’t need a marriage seminar, you need the Word Seminar.

Let me tell you, no husband wants another mother, he has had one all his life. He doesn’t want an older sister, he probably had one.Your secret is in obedience, your secret is in listening to your husband, your secret is in doing the things that please him. When you don’t do the things that please him, you take the role of a mother or of an older sister. A man loves the one he serves (God) and the one that serves him (a good wife). He fights the one that wants to be at the same level with him (a rebellious wife).

To be happy in your family and home is the easiest thing in the world, just take your role. Take your place. That place that God gave you is a beautiful place. Its a place of peace. Its a place of love. It’s a place of excellence. Every wise person listens to wise voices (advice) but he listens to a wise voice that is presented wisely. Everyone rebels against the voice that is trying to make a fool out of him. When you want to correct your husband, don’t lord it over him, present it as a wise suggestion. Humble yourself and be smart. A wise woman will always be an influence to her husband, the foolish one will always annoy the husband, make him mad, make him angry and when you make him angry, you will be the victim.

Learn to listen to your husband, practice it, tell yourself that you are going to do it because that is where your beauty is. Once you stop listening, your beauty evaporates. You wonder why you are dressing and he can’t see it, he doesn’t remember your last hair style. Beauty is in obedience. That’s where the Glory is

Business / Stanbic IBTC Wants Me To Pay N170k For Their Mistake – Customer Laments by donshegzy: 11:29am On Sep 11, 2016
A social media user on Instagram (a.okelawal) took to his page to complain about how a financial institution, Stanbic IBTC, messed up his account and wants a payment of N170,000 to correct the said mistake.

He wrote:

This is the Story of How Stanbic Ibtc @stanbicibtc MESSED up my account and asked me to pay 170k (i.e. 170,000) for THEIR mistake.

In June, I made a mistake by trusting Stanbic with a couple of transactions on amazon. The following payments were made:

15th of June – 62,553.58
16th of June – 62,528.44
17th of June – 2 transactions of 62,616.43 each.

The money was debited from my account on the same day as the transaction was made and my account was used up until the 13th of July with the balance of 26,881.62 or so I thought.

Between the 15th of July and 17th of July, I tried to access my account but I was unable to and I thought it was just a fault with my card. Just for me to sign up into my online profile and what I saw as my effective balance changed my understanding of life. I saw -144,308.72. YES, A NEGATIVE BALANCE OF ONE HUNDRED AND FORTY FOUR THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED AND EIGHT NAIRA. I thought it was a mistake and wrote to the bank and went to a branch at yaba and palms. Today is the 9th of September 2016 and after writing letters and visiting their branches, I was told that it was my fault and that I would have to pay.

I am now processing my legal response to all of this but before then, this is to warn you to NEVER use this bank for any foreign transaction. Infact, just don’t use them at all for safety.
Have a nice day.

Politics / Man Of God Curses Corrupt Politicians, Their Children And Grand Children by donshegzy: 11:09am On Sep 11, 2016
A prominent man of God and former Prelate of the Methodist Church who was also a one time President of the Christian Association of Nigeria CAND, Prelate Sunday Mbang, has said that the wrath of God will visit the children and grand children of corrupt politicians.

In a recent interview with Tribune, the man of God said: “In Christianity, the Bible makes it clear that when you commit a crime, it is to the third and fourth generations. The belief with us is that they have allowed the grace of God in the New Testament to seem to have covered what is in the Old Testament – the wrath and love of God – which is also reflected in the New Testament. If you don’t repent of your sin, the wrath of God will fall upon you. People suffer in this country and what they would do is to explain it scientifically. I said it earlier that I made a prayer and someone died.

That death would be explained scientifically and so the main point would be clear to the people. The fact is that once you commit sin; once you loot public treasury; once you convert money belonging to the people for yourself and family, you will suffer, your children will suffer to the third and fourth generations. When these things happen, people explain them scientifically.

Nowadays if anything happens to someone, it would be blamed on either the brother, father or the mother, not knowing that God’s wrath might have fallen on the person. Every sin has punishment.

What I can tell our politicians is that all the sins they have committed – corruption, hatred, killings, kidnapping, false accusations – the wrath of the God will visit them one after the other to the third and fourth generations. My prayer is that all those seeking political appointments, because the earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof, God is the owner of the earth. He is not an absentee landlord. He is interested in this world. So when you come and do whatever you feel like, don’t think God does not see it. He sees everything we do and He gives us the grace for what we have done right and punishment, for our wrongs.

My advice to the politicians is for them to remember that whatsoever they sow, they shall reap. If they escape it, their children will not. If they do, their grandchildren will bear the punishment, whether they like it or not. You can go to prayer houses to pray, unless you repent. When Zacchaeus, the tax collector in the Bible wanted to repent, he said he would return ten times all that he had taken unlawfully. Can any politician do that? If they can do so, God can show mercy because some of them might have ignorantly stolen. Even if Buhari decides to leave them unpunished, they can’t escape from God.

That is my advice to all the Christians who venture into politics. God is watching them and their family every day. Every sin they commit against that person who has gotten food to eat in his house, God will not allow them to go scot-free”

Politics / 7 Strange Laws In The Nigerian Constitution That Could Land You In Jail by donshegzy: 10:41am On Sep 11, 2016
The quote that ‘ignorance is not a valid excuse before the law’ is the one most people can never forget.

Many times, you or someone you know has been in trouble with the law because of something he/she did or did not do.

Especially in Nigeria, where a little mistake can land you in huge trouble, it is important that you know the laws that you should never break.

Here are some of the strangest ones you will ever see:

1. Sale of matches made with white phosphorus: The sale of matches made with white phosphorus or the use of white phosphorus in manufacture of matches is a criminal offence.

White phosphorus is a material made from a common allotrope of the chemical element phosphorus that is used in smoke, tracer, illumination, and incendiary munitions.

It can cause death if inhaled as a smoke or ingested. Extensive exposure by burning and ingestion may result in death.

2. Breach of promise to marry: If you promise to marry a person and fail to keep that promise, you can be sued at a court.

However before an act of a person can amount to breach of promise to marry. There are the following prerequisites:

a) There must be evidence before the court that indeed there was a promise of statutory marriage (under the Marriage Act).

This is because the different customary laws do not provide a cause of action for breach of executor contracts such as the promise to marry.

b) There must be evidence that a party to the contract to marry failed to perform his obligations.

3. Witchcraft: Believe it or not, there is actually one of the Nigerian criminal code laws which is against witchcraft.

According to the law, any person who by his/her statements or actions represents himself/herself to be a witch or to have the power of witchcraft is guilty of misdemeanour and is liable to two years in prison.

4. Army green: Under the Prohibition of Use act, it is illegal to paint your private vehicle, ‘army green’. This law has been extended sometimes to include wearing camouflage coloured attire. You do not want to be caught by the military contravening any of these laws.

5. Christian wives: This might be one of the strangest laws. Under the law, a wife of a Christian marriage is not criminally responsible for an act which she is actually compelled by her husband to do in his presence.

There is however an exception, if it is an offence punishable with death, or one in which grievous harm is to the person of another, or an intention to cause such harm.

6. Jactitation of marriage: In Nigeria, you can obtain a ‘jactitation of marriage’, what this means is that you can get an injunction against someone from claiming to be your spouse.

Under the Matrimonial Causes act, if the person ignores the injunction, he/she can be arrested and prosecuted.

7. Reward for stolen property: Now, this is especially tricky. If someone steals your property, it is criminal to advertise a reward for the return of the stolen or lost property with a statement that no questions will be asked, or that the person producing such property will not be arrested or punished.

Health / Buhari’s Economy: Sick, Pregnant Debtors Sneak Out Of Hospitals To Avoid Payment by donshegzy: 10:27am On Sep 10, 2016
Recent investigation has revealed that the present state of the nation’s economy has forced sick and pregnant people to abscond from medical facilities due to their huge debts and high cost of obtaining proper medical attention.

Investigations further revealed that sick patients have now resorted to traditional means of health care as the nation’s economy worsens.

Speaking on the recent finding, the Chief Medical Director, University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital, Ilorin, Prof. Abdulwaheed Olatinwo said: “The problem is that more people cannot pay. We now need to be looking for more funds to take care of the poor as we cannot turn down people, most especially, emergency cases. For those who cannot pay, it is either we write their bills off or we rely on some philanthropists assistance.”

In the same view, the Director-General, Kwara State Hospital Management Bureau, Dr. Olubunmi Jetawo-Winter, also said: “We have a lot of patients who are unable to pay their bills. I believe it is because of the situation of the country.”

Celebrities / Someone Sued Creator Of Hit Show ‘black-ish’, Over What? by donshegzy: 10:18am On Sep 10, 2016
The creator of hit show, Black-ish, Kenya Barris, has been sued by a guy who claims the storyline is based on his life.

The lawsuit, according to TMZ was filed by one Bryan Barber who claims he and Kenya were both college buddies in 1996 and that both became writers and both had agents at William Morris.

Barber further claimed that he entered into a partnership with Kenya in 2006 and they both came up with a script focusing on the “black experience” … through the eyes of a “successful, creative and affluent black man” working in the mostly white entertainment industry.

Barber further claims the script was based on his life experience adding that he parted ways before 2014, when “Black-ish” debuted.

Have you tried other cables for the charge process? If you try other cables and you're still experiencing the same issues, then the USB port is defective
thanks for the response, I actually bought the much acclaimed PlayBook charger and It's been the same even worse because it doesn't detect it now.
how much do you think fixing the charging port will cost (mind you I'm not in Lagos) but a rough estimate would do. thanks once again.

Thanks. After downloading the autoloader, will I just connect the device after unzipping it and it'll sort itself out?
