It is long over due. Nigeria either sink or swim come 2015.

I have noticed that igbo men find it very difficult to marry yoruba women. Could it be that the difficulty stems from the negative image given to yoruba women by yoruba men.

Even when very few igbo women get married to yoruba men, igbo men still will not marry the children from such union becos they consider them yorubas. What is the cause? Here is a post from a yoruba nairalander about yoruba women that i read recently.

first off am Yoruba and have 4 brothers and no sister. I swear never to marry anybody but yoruba girls but they disapoint me. I dated Edo, calabar, Fulani, Ibo and life was good till i met my yoruba women.

1 they always fighting or looking to fight you yo

2 they cant keep hygiene uptite and one foul smell or another offensive odor must be coming from them. I don't know why it is only yoruba women that stinks like putrid milk.

3 they all have ugly monkey face. why god make we yoruba guys look finer and better and smarter than our women suprise me. only 1 out of every 25 yoruba girls looks good compared to Bini, Ibo, Hausa, Calabar girls.

4 they get yansh but the yansh is never clean. whats the use of a dirty yansh.

5 so dont blame me for saying goodbye to yoruba girls. insha Allah, I will find a good muslim Edo, Ibo or Fulani girl and bless her life by marying her.

They are very ok with OAM4J, the most biggoted moderator on nairaland. The best thing is for Seun to come and moderate the politics section himself. That should be interesting at least he will no longer have to hide behind numerous moniker to express his bigotted views.

As per the case you digged out, it was a wrong comparism....not similar at all. The guy I was referring to in that thread was actually insulting someone, and I responded based on the insult. But berem merely made her views and opinion without insulting anyone.

I respect people like Naptu who are truelly detribalized and feel they are actually better people. So, in this case, Berem is a better person compared to your bigoted self, so why try advise someone who is way more matured and better than you....don't you think its ironic?

You shouldn't be surprised! they have a gang who they send to attack any igbo who goes contrary to their views on this forum. It is confirmed and I know them. Cowardly,they use their alternate monikers to throw insults so that they won't be noticed. After their failed attempt to bring down nairaland,they are wallowing in shame.

This is a pathetic and yet dreaded situation. Even policemen are afraid:

That was the much a female resident, identified as Nwankego, could say due to fear for her safety.

Oronna Street in Abule-Egba area of Lagos was on Monday thrown into confusion after a 60-year-old man who allegedly killed his wife over his missing N500, locked himself up inside their home with the corpse.

Reports said fight broke out after the man identified as Gbadebo Elegbede, accused his 17-year-old son of stealing his N500 at about 7am. His wife, Maria, was said to have defended his son, her action reportedly led to a verbal confrontation with her husband,which degenerated into a scuffle.

In the process, Gbadebo was said to have hit his wife with a hard object on the face, causing her to slump.

His son, Johnson, was said to have attempted to lift his mother from the floor only to discover that she was motionless and bleeding from the mouth and nose.

Johnson reportedly ran out to alert neighbours to come to his mother’s help, but they met the door of the apartment locked. Gbadebo is in and threatening that he would kill anyone who force the door open.

Eye witnesses said some of the deceased’s relatives who rushed to the scene were also prevented from seeing Maria’s corpse as the door was still locked and they are afraid for their life.

Surprisingly, according to vanguard, policemen at nearby divisions who were contacted said they had not been informed about the incident.
