When some media houses made the report early this year, many took it as political propaganda but in the street, it's a statement of facts.


Recently, the landlord increased rent for his shops for over 100%. We've all begged him to consider but to no avail.

My shop rent was N160,000 annually but now, I'm asked to pay N400,000 for the same shop. What business am I doing? Selling of phone gadgets. Another lady that was using another shop had already closed down and went back home. The lady that sells provision is shutting down soon too. The man that sells motor engine oil is closing down also. The one of boutique had quit the place already. Only one person selling restaurant says she will renew the rent.

The one that was paying N350k is now asked to pay N750k. Who was paying N200k is now asked to pay N450k. Just like that.

This is what business people are facing today all because of Tinubu inconsiderate economic policies, causing unbearable inflation and hardship to the people.

This should be on front page.

Tho I don’t believe one word you just said but I’ll drop a logical advice for others that might face such challenges in future. Clean all the rubbles and burnt remains in the room that belonged to you. Go and buy tapoline and mosquito net. Make a small shade in the room install the mosquito nets and sleep till God shows you mercy.

Talk as though you yourself can even attempt such not to talk of surviving it, especially in this rainy/cold weather, they'll remove you frozen dead the next day.
