I don't really know too much about android OS n all but I know from the little i've used of it that it's very very nice. The only regret I have for not dumping my iphone 4 earlier is the fact that I wouldn't have gotten the Galaxy S3... It's the Awesomest and Most Terrifical phone ever!!!!!!!!!! Geez that is the definition of a smartphone.. and not the crap that apple is selling!! |
hustla: U've answered d Q already hehehehe!!Guy pls don't bother waiting for the iphone 5... They'll probably bring out iPhone 4Si... I just got the Galaxy SIII and i've sworn i'll never touch an Iphone ever again... I have sold my iphone 4 and I'm very glad I did.. But for the latpop sha, I wouldn't use anything else.. their OS is miles away from windows, very fast, looks good, would never get a virus on it, and would hardly hardly ever crash.. The basic Macbook is miles better than most regular PCs... All d ppl shouting here are talking cos they havent used one before. I had to try it first to realise... Its Awesome ![]() |
A lot of people here have got a very narrow view of computer engineering. Computer science deals with a lot of software based stuff. Computer engineering on the other hand, in addition to all the computer assembly and motherboard design that people are talking about. Some people fail to realize that Robotics and Automation is a part of computer engineering, Control systems is a part of computer engineering. For my computer engineering course, I felt like i was an elect/elect student. The software aspect to my own degree was very minimal C/C++/Java.. Our main programming course was on hardware programming, programming of electronic systems, digital design e.t.c. Networking was also done but not much emphasis was placed on it because as a computer engineer, what you're expected to know is slightly differnt from what most Nigerian universities teach. If I'm to give advise, I'll suggest you do the computer engineering or if u had a choice elect/elect cos they are very close and you have greater opportunity after school. As for the software and networking stuff, any smart person can pick up a book and learn all those things, pick up a certification and you'll all be on the same level. You find a lot of electrical engineers doing computer programming and network courses just to give them greater opportunities after school. A computer engineer can easily go back and do more certifications to learn more of the software side of things but it would be very difficult for a computer science graduate to say he wants to learn more detailed computer engineering stuff. BTW, computer engineering is more than just PCs and networking. |
This isn't the first time the bridge has been closed for maintenance... We didn't die.. Na today ![]() |
I currently use a nissan murano. It's fun to drive in all fairness and once it's in top shape, it is a beast on the road... but all that aside, it's very horrible in terms of ruggedness.. I treat the car like an egg.. fix anything as soon as a problem comes up but there always seems to be one problem after another.. On the other hand, I used a 2000 nissan sunny as a hand me down from my popsie as it used to be his official car... I have to say that the car served very well up until when we had no more use for it. |
babeface3: I have heard of dual engine failure mainly on long distance flights, not just between Abuja and Lagos, less than one hour; this is terrible. We are talking of both engines suddenly becoming non functional. We need better explanationLike Muffins99 said, its a machine. Anything can go wrong. Jakumo's explanation makes sense, those planes that have tail mounted engines would have a harder time gliding as the weight from the engines would drop the plane like a brick. For wing mounted planes, they can glide for a reasonable distance before they hit the ground. You talked about failure for long distance flight but you seem to forget that this plane has been flogged around probably taking between five and ten 50 minute flights in one day. That's even more work than the Virgin and BA planes do. Think about 10 take offs and landings in one day. I'm not saying that was what caused it but your argument here isn't very valid because I think it could have happened to any badly maintained plane. |
Still 10% for insurance is daylight robbery. GT Assur would do 6% and even give you a complimentary car to use for the duration when your car is away from you till it's fixed or they get you a new one... I just bought a new car and I was considering Zenith as one of my options. Thanks for the info... I'm running away from Zenith Insurance! |
Yeah you're right gizzy... I actually had the wrong info Sorry about this @Merciful.. My friend got his Elantra for 3.7m and another got the accent full option for 3.2m.. but if you're unlucky you might have to wait a bit for the accent as it is in high demand and i think it's more than their supply. Both people i know experienced this delay. |
Find Out!:It's 4.3m. Brand new base model!! If it's within ur budget, then you've found your perfect car. Not too big, not too small.. |
Is it showing on TV ![]() |
What's ur budget... VW Centre has got the Tiguan for a reasonable price now!! |
Oga youa go grow Metuselah beer beer!! You wouldn't get that car for that price! Goodluck to you... |
@Poster Nice Post... But I would still insist on buying a new car...Why buy a used range rover for 8.5m when you can get a new Prado for 9m gidjah: Thanks for the expo, came really handy for those planning to get a car for dem selves, but my reservations are,if all u stated r all to go with, then no Nigeria will be buying fairly used vehicles,(even d brand new tokunbos as popularly called! ) coz all of our cars gotten tru d boarders have got one of ds fault or anoda, let sme one vast in field engineering prove me wrong.Even most of d cars shipped frm Europe r also guilty. My Mitsubishi crv has really been wonderful !!.its bin frm 1 challenge into anoda, na only God fit save us.Bros.. Ur english is hard to understand... Mitsubushi CRV? |

After treating my murano like an egg for the past year and half, I think my CVT is already giving up. I need advise from the experts out here. My car is an 06 SL AWD Murano. Recently, I feel a thump in the floorboard when I try to accelerate quickly from a stationary position. When I move gradually, it doesn't do that. A former mechanic who's now a driver for us seems to believe it's the engine mount. I have been to my mechanic that believes that it's the gearbox beginning to fail (he checked and says the engine mounting is okay). I have made sure that the fluid is adequate. The last time I checked for the fluid was 2 weeks ago and amp ll of a sudden today it's very low. I topped up the fluid today and the thump isn't as hard as it has been feeling but I feel the problem is still there. I had my fears about this and my worst fears seem to be coming true.... Just a few questions relating to some experiences to see what people think Sometime ago, I was trying to park at shoprite in Surulere. They have very steep ramps in their multi storey car park probably around 30 degrees. I was climbing the ramp slowly and halfway up the ramp, the car stopped and it felt like it just couldn't deliver enough power to climb up the ramp. I had to go down and come up with more momentum for the car to actually go up. More recently, I was trying to park on a rough street. I was moving in reverse and I had to climb over a very small stone. The car couldn't deliver any power to climb over that stone. Feeling was similar to what I experienced on the ramp. So to the experts.. Do these 2 incidents relate to the failing CVT? |
