I dont want to believe it was because of the mile 12 issue the result in the demolishing of the market but if that is the case there are other ways to deal with this demolished market issue without lifting a finger and make all and sundry feel the heat.

A section of Ladipo market called Odo Aladura in Lagos State, western Nigeria, was Tuesday morning demolished by unidentified persons suspected to be thugs who attempted to demolish it recently before traders prevented the thugs.

P.M.NEWS gathered that the suspects invaded the market in the morning around 3:00 a.m. and demolished the entire market and hurriedly left before the traders got to the market in the morning.

Traders’ goods kept in the various shops worth millions of naira were destroyed.
Before the traders got to the market Tuesday morning, the whole shops had been reduced to rubble.

There had been crises for some weeks after the same thugs invaded the market and attempted to demolish it but the traders mobilized themselves and chased the thugs away.

That invasion of the market resulted in serious fracas between the traders and the thugs during which many traders sustained injuries.
One of the traders, Anene Utasi, was attacked with a machete and also shot. He was rushed to LUTH where he eventually died.

This sparked another round of violent protest and many shops and other properties believed to belong the leader of the thugs were destroyed.
It took the intervention of the Lagos Commissioner of Police, Mr Fatai Owoseni before the situation was brought under control.

Following the death of Utasi, Owoseni ordered the arrest of Cemetery Attendant, Monday Lawrence and other suspected thugs who were behind the death.

Lawrence was yet to be arrested when thugs invaded the market in the early hours of Tuesday and demolished over 2,000 shops, destroing goods worth millions of naira in the shops

You see why we said Anambra is the most secured Nigeria State,this can't happen in Anambra except the govt wanted to demolish the market which adequate preparation and relocation will be met,Every Major market in Anambra have security operatives that protect the property of the traders and maintain orderliness in market.

I think the Traders in the major markets in Lagois metropolis should borrow such leaf from Anambra state,you will see how this thug of a thing will disappear.

Ma dad bought a land in Awka last year for 7mill. Now land is going for 13mil in the same location and 17 mill in some other strategic locations

I know of supply and demand but you can't ask igbos to return home and when they start to do, we begin to hike prices

i have a friend that bought a plot of land in awka last year for 350K the problem is if you go to the high end areas ie developed areas of awka to buy land the price will be high...just the same way it is in Lagos,Abuja,Enugu and all major cities and state capitals.

How can a mother not know the age of her daughter, she claim her daughter is 33years and was born in 1987. A person born in 1987 is 29years and not 33yrs

Please those of you whose JAMB exam is/was in the morning what time did you write/wrote your exam.
I have a sister who will be writing her JAMB exam on wednesday at Federal polytechnic Oko by 6:30AM (that is the time on her jamb slip) .....i was insinuating that the time (6:30 AM) is too early to conduct an exam when putting the distance the candidates will be coming from to sit for the exam

In onitsha pure water still goes for #10 per sachet.

If you open another bank account in delta then that means in ur NYSC Data u have two account Numbers which is not suppose to be, so u need to cancel or remove ur Taraba bank account from ur Data by going to taraba for them to ratify it. I feel your pain dear. All will be well.

dearie, we were told to open an account so that our allowances will be paid into it before the new state will take over. majority of us that redeployed did that & most have been paid accordingly. something's wrong somewhere.. i agree but going to taraba?? those that hv been paid didnt go back to taraba for clearance. i honestly dunno where this is coming from because i diligently did all my paper works before leaving & even when i got here. i appreciate your inputs

If those who redeloyed with you from Taraba State open a bank account at the camp in Taraba and still got their allowee in delta after doing their registration...then there is no call for alarm cox NYSC will pay in due time,u shouldnt panic cox when ur pay will come it will be a huge amount.They may own u more than 3months but they will never take ur money.

OP when u redeloyed to delta State u were suppose to do a fresh registration,new ID Card and account opening, Cox ur allowee is not meant to come from Taraba but delta State,which makes u to be a delta state corps member.

What a pity for a young lady serving her father land be going through this issue knowing fuilly well that the fund is meant for her upkeep and some idiots here are saying some silly things.

Please, The State Zonal coordinator should come to her help to get this issue resolved and I beleive that other kind media houses like Channels, AIT and others should get the NYSC Director to call Taraba zonal coordinator to have her salary sent ASAP.

My sister, just be patient, we shall do all things to get this issue resolved. If within days nothing is done, I will contact the media houses on this.

It is a shame that NYSC officials cannot help op to resolve this issue.

This isnt the fault of the Z.I "zonal coordinator" Let the OP go to Asaba were they have the NYSC State secretariat as in State HQTR and complain to the account section.

I'm a batch B15 (stream 1) corp member, posted to Taraba state on October 28th 2015. I opened an account with UBA on camp and the account details was sent to me day after leaving camp. (November 17th). I redeployed to Delta state and reported at the secretariat on November 18th, 2015.
Till now, I haven't received my December & January allowances. Majority of my friends whom we redeployed to various states together have been paid duly, which leaves me to wonder what i did that they didn't do. I've called & called., sent messages too; from the accountant to state coordinator (Taraba). Yes, I got across to them.
The officials here said there's nothing they can do to help. I've exhausted all avenues, even tweets to @nysc_ng aren't responded to. This plea goes to the authorities in charge to help facilitate my allowances. Moderators., I'll appreciate front page for wider audience & contributions. Thank you.

OP u made a mistake by opening ur bank acct in Taraba State when u know that u will redeploy after the 3weeks camping. The problem is that your account details with NYSC will be reading Taraba while u are in delta,So without doing ur monthly clearance in Taraba,so the NYSC Taraba will be taking you as a ghost corps member.You need to open another bank account in Delta State cox NYSC bank account is not like any other public bank acct until u end ur service year.U also need to go to NYSC Taraba or NYSC HQTR Abuja to ratify the account problem,cox they may be believeing u are one of the ghost corper in Taraba State. But OP most times NYSC do own corpers who redeployed upto 3 months allowance or more before paying them.But be rest assured that NYSC will never "take" ur allowee,they must pay u before u leave ur service year.
