Carry on Tinubu.. When Buhari was busy appointing Fulanis your prayer was may Buhari succeed. What is good for the gender is good for the goose. When you see injustice meted at another and you close turn a blind eye, tomorrow the same injustice will come back to hunt you. |
Arewa Economic Forum Accuses Tinubu Of Appointing Only Yorubas Into Key Positions Of Govt ECONOMY By Ifeanyi Onuba On Aug 30, 2023 Bola-Ahmed-Tinubu- President Bola Ahmed Tinubu 111 SHARES Share Tweet Subscribe The Arewa Economic Forum (AEF) has accused President Bola Tinubu of what it termed ‘Yorubanisation’ and ‘Lagoslisation’ of his appointments. Advertisement The Chairman of the Forum, Alhaji Ibrahim Dandakata, who expressed the displeasure of the Forum lamented that the North, which significantly contributed to the enthronement of the Tinubu government, is being left out in the Finance and ICT sectors which are crucial to economic development. Dandakata spoke in Abuja on Wednesday at a press conference organized by the Forum to register its discontent over the seeming nepotism in some of the President’s appointments. He added that both the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Wale Edun, and the Acting Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Mr Folashodun Shonubi, are from the southwest. The Group alleged that many of the appointments of Heads of strategic government agencies in Finance and ICT are from the southwest and also of the Lagos axis. He said, “As you may be aware, Finance and Information Communication Technology (ICT) are crucial to the economic eldorado that the President envisions for Nigeria. https://thewhistler.ng/arewa-economic-forum-accuses-tinubu-of-appointing-only-yorubas-into-key-positions-of-govt/

BRICS rejects Nigeria, invites Saudi Arabia, Iran, Ethiopia, Egypt, Argentina and the UAE to join developing world bloc The five BRICS developing nations have rejected Nigeria's application to join, announcing it will admit Saudi Arabia, Iran, Ethiopia, Egypt, Argentina, and the United Arab Emirates, a move aimed at growing the strength of the bloc as it pushes to rebalance the world order dominated by the US and western countries. BRICS - whose acronym was originally coined by an economist at Goldman Sachs, currently comprises Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa. BRICS has pledged to address the grievances of member countries over a world order they feel favours the US more than other emerging economies. The expansion announced on Thursday, August 24, could also pave the way for other countries to seek admission. Economic sanctions imposed by the West on Russia for its invasion of Ukraine and China's declining relations with the United States are spurring the bloc to turn BRICS into a strong counterweight to the West economically and politically. "BRICS has embarked on a new chapter in its effort to build a world that is fair, a world that is just, a world that is also inclusive and prosperous," said South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, who is hosting a summit of BRICS leaders. The six candidate countries will formally become members on Jan. 1, 2024. Ramaphosa and Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva left the door open to the possibility of admitting other countries in the future. "We have consensus on the first phase of this expansion process and other phases will follow," Ramaphosa said at a media briefing. Lula said globalisation's promises had failed, adding that it was time to revitalise cooperation with developing countries as "there is a risk of nuclear war", United Arab Emirates President Mohammed bin Zayed, whose country is already a shareholder of the bloc's New Development Bank, said he appreciated the inclusion of his country in the expansion. This membership expansion is historic,” said Chinese President Xi Jinping, whose nation is the most powerful in the group of non-Western states that represents a quarter of the world’s economy. “The expansion is also a new starting point for BRICS cooperation. It will bring new vigour to the BRICS cooperation mechanism and further strengthen the force for world peace and development”. Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed hailed what he called “a great moment” for his country, the second-most populous in Africa. “Ethiopia stands ready to cooperate with all for an inclusive and prosperous global order,” he said on X, formerly known as Twitter. https://www.lindaikejisblog.com/2023/8/brics-rejects-nigeria-invites-saudi-arabia-iran-ethiopia-egypt-argentina-and-the-uae-to-join-developing-world-bloc-2.html

Truvelisback:There's no relationship where you will not have disagreement or some misunderstandings sometimes, but when they happen, we deal with them, brush them aside and then move on. |
Truvelisback:This is not my case. I have been married for years and I love my wife more each day that passes by. |
fuckJones:Are you for real?
|
cocoined:The truth is that if you go that way, you will never end up in a better place. First, you need to take some responsibility and not see family members as if they owe you anything when they fail to meet up with your expectation. Fight against all odds of life and breakthrough, family will come looking for you. We all have passed through this same faze, many moments that pressured us to give up. Many thoughts of taking our lives because of what we went through, but we resisted and never gave in, and today here we are still kicking and winning. |
Gentlelox:This guy was one of the intelligent guys here on NL in those days. His contributions on many threads were top notch. |
JaredH:American and Chinese are in different interior places in Africa where there are resources, they are there extracting them and making use of them (repatriating them to their home soil) , this is because most times these Africans who are the land owners, fail to see, or are unable to extract these resources or opportunities that surround them. That does mean that these Americans or Chinese are coming to Africa because they are indigents or impoverished in their own land. |
JaredH:Why do Americans and the Chinese come to Africa? |
Racoon:Exactly what I wanted to say. GEJ is free from blame. APC Vs APC |
spagettiluv:Keep on lying to yourselves while all evidence proves otherwise. |
May God help this people. They will still be the ones flooding here to denigrate the Igbos and Southeast on every thread that pops up here. Sincerely speaking apart from Lagos, the Southwest is a desolated land. |
Dexy4yah:The bolded is what I find heard to comprehend. You said you last saw and heard from each other 13 years ago, but the boy you are alleging she said is your son is 8 years now. How possible is that? |

papapchi:They are bunch of haters and hypocrites. The earlier they understand and come to terms that they cannot quench the Igbos spirit the better for them. They may even join forces with hell, but one thing I can assure them is that Igbos cannot be subjugated.

Yoruba people are really showing themselves as hypocrites. The h.ate they have for Igbos is too much. Once anything concerns the Igbos, the way they'll always misinterpret it to suit their h.ateful narrative is just something out of this world. They blow everything Igbo out of proportion. They should know that Igbos do not bow for any man.

naniawini:miss this guy nwamaikpe. Where is he please? Hope he is still alive. |
