Nigeria is still very far from self sufficiency in rice production so all this scam of rice sufficiency is not going to cut it. We need to systematically to increase our rice production capacity gradually cause this agriculture that depends on climate and soil. A timeline of 10 years increment in production should first be pursued while gradually increasing tax to discourage importation and encourage local production.
