Ndkings1:School must send your transcript |
1 more reason to not use IQAS unless absolutely necessary Their cumulative output time is now over 5 months.. I am currently doing a basic assessment and sent all my certs, transcripts and stuff and it was delivered July 10. Got worried when I still hadn't seen an acknowledgement on Monday and sent them an email. Only for them to respond today that they are still opening packages that arrived June 25th and they haven't gotten to my date yet. So when your transcript gets delivered, it will take another 6wks+ before they open it. And then the standard 13wks for evaluation. Meaning that if your transcript delivers today, you will not see your ECA till like December ending or next year. Please stick with ICES (unless you hv multiple degrees to evaluate and cant afford the $200/cert OR even use WES like that sef. The only people that should be going close to IQAS are professions that need IQAS' positive evaluation Fellow May AOR..... How mkt?? |
Congratulations Newmum.... well deserved. All the best going forward |
iaatmguy:The name is "Strategic professional certificate" |
Vancouver4:Hi. For this Canada waka, it is called ECA. ECA is the name NOT document by document or course by couse. Document by document or course by course are for other various alternatives like school, certificatn and gbogbotigbo. If you did not select ECA just go and start to resolve it so you don't waste money |
iaatmguy:ACCA has 3 diplomas: Diploma in accounting and business - Gotten after completion of F3 Advanced diploma in accounting and business - Gotten after completion of F9 + ethics Strategic professional certificate - After passing the P levels |
smslive2:Actually it is. Go check for yourself |
daaryour:Check the website of the body you wrote with. The information will be clearly stated there |
iaatmguy:For your wife to get any of the ACCA diplomas that comes after completion of either F9 or the professional papers, she has to complete the ethics module. So there is no diploma to be assessed if ethics is not completed. The PER part is not needed to get the diploma. The ethics module is now 60pounds. She can complete it, pay her outstanding fees, fax the downloaded diploma certificate to WES and send request for the transcript to ACCA (all of this can be completed in 1 day sef). I'd suggest you ignore the ICAN cuz it has no value when evaluated with WES unless its the AAT you want to evaluate. As a side note though, your wife might want to complete her PER and apply for ACCA membership as ACCA members are only 1 e-learn course away from obtaining the CPA designation. |
I did catchup yesterday morning.... came this morning to see over 13 pages added and ws stunned. When you are good, you are good abeg. CONGRATS Ethelia, Adib007 and Qsola. See as everyone is excited on your behalf. Your selflessness will not go unrewarded. For the rest of us.... We continue to wait... |
Guys how far PPR news na. It has been a dry spell these past few days. Don't be shy... come and testify and give us hope. Btw.... fellow May AOR... hope the wait is treating you good. |
Pharmacists in the house, I'm trying to help another with the process and I have gone to read the English for pharmacists on pg 0. 2 questions: - Can the document evaluation be applied for alone without applying for the evaluating exams?? - The PEBC website says ""PEBC will generate an ECA Report which will be mailed directly to the candidate. It is the candidate’s responsibility to submit the ECA Report to CIC"".... Does it mean that they would not send any additional copies to CIC and you would have to wait for when the hard copy report arrives before you enter pool (as in no soft copy at all)?? The money for pharmacy evaluation is not a beans mehn |
kamela:There's only so much you can do. My advice is to wait for them cuz there's no amount of CSE you will raise that will help them verify your employer. Maybe there's no online presence or something but its not your worry. If they wanted further clarifications, they would have invited you for interview or given you an ADR but all the ADR you got was just for passport. Sit back, relax and await your PPR |
xtosync: chizilulu: emelueobi: Fuzzyman:Thanks guys. I used the AOR and I was good. Picked the final August session |
Fuzzyman:Hi. I'm looking at the requirements to register and it seems the program is for those with PPR and above. Were you able to register pre-PPR or know anyone who was able to?? |

Try GTB. I had the same issue when I tried paying for UK PCC. |
I would please like to get the input of CPA members on this. While waiting for PPR, I started researching the process of obtaining the CPA designation. I am an ACCA member currently. I intend to land in Calgary so I was on the CPA Alberta's site. According to their site, I need to be a citizen or have legal right to work and stuff before I apply and when I do have the rights to work, I'd be needing a basic transcript assessment. I have decided to start with the assessment first. I don't want the verification wahala of Nigerian degrees (I only evaluated my uk masters with WES for ECA)... so I have opted for IQAS. As IQAS is 13 weeks processing time, by the time they are done, I should have my PPR and be ready to apply for the CPA. Thankfully, IQAS website is saying that I can send down my transcripts myself and so I don't need to be chasing my school around for transcript as I have a copy already(so its a case of gather and post once). My concern now is the part where the site says I need to send my original certificates as well and that they'd return those back. Has anyone here sent their originals to IQAS before??..... Cuz I'm not very comfortable with that option at all. |
Please has anyone done a basic assessment only with IQAS?? If yes, did you get to send the transcript yourself?? |
Achick22:Thanks. I just realised that the requirements for an ECA is a bit different from that of a basic assessment. |
@fizzile Finally you have seen you date eh. Congratulations. Rather than be worried about WES, you can start to gather all your other documents before the June date. Do your UK and Naija PCC, arrange your reference and payslip, arrange travel pages, pof etc. so once Wes comes you just continue to swim that swim you have been wanting to do... all the best |
For those that used IQAS, I'm looking at their checklist and it says originals need to be sent. Does it mean you guys sent your original documents (cert and transcript) to them?? |
Congrats to all PPR recipients. Wishing you all the very best Mehn, that guys PPR that came out in less than 1 month, na you be the MVP oh New prayer point will now be "Father Lord, may LVO not be my portion" Anyways.... for those going the acca route and looking for study materials. you can use open tuition https://opentuition.com/acca/ They have free notes and videos that can help the course. Also, for F3 alone, you can use the free mind maps in this site to help yourself https://www.mapitaccountancy.com/acca |
canman:He should go the PNP route cuz his age has already taken out 60 points from him. If he even gets the maximum band for IELTS, his score is still 403. PNP would be his best bet |
Congrat of your CPOC cutezain Just saw this interesting article on Canadavisa and thought to share. Talk about a classic case of "sins of the father" https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-blog/2018/04/canadas-daca-moment.html Nothing pays like getting it right from the beginning. Imagine having to misrepresent today and then 10 years later (after buying house and car and gbogbotigbo) and starting a family, they now overturn your PR status. You and your children (or in this case just your children) will now start from Level 0 all over again. Our patience will be rewarded in the end |
pretygurll:Madam d madam.... you are part of the people that deny ITA to those that are truly ready to obtain it. Well done oh So you have forged an ECA number and asking us if forgery will be a problem for the visa officer?? Before the rest of Nairaland will come for your head, kindly go and decline your ITA and if possible delete this your post sef so nobody else will see it.... If you choose to go ahead.... I wish you all the best as you receive your 5 year ban for misrepresentation |
fizzile:Uncle Sir.... pls don't come at me abeg. When WES starts your evaluation after accepting your documents... they will give you a likely completion date. If you have not seen your date, then wait for your date before you start with the discernment of right or wrong information |
raybuk:Any which way you want to go is fine. NOUN has already been confirmed as a viable 2nd degree option. If you want to do online masters, its fine as well but you need to be sure the school is a Wes recognised institution. WES has some tools you can use to check on their website |
Crowndit:When WES starts their evaluation, you would see a completion date on your profile. They usually aim to release the final report a few days before the date indicated on your portal. But you will see a due date. No need to do any permutation and combination |
Blessed are they whose POF is in just one place. You shall not roam around Lagos anyhow Thats how I thought it would be a quick dash in and out of bank and MMF and pension office oh. Feeling like I could walk in and walk out with what I need. I was soooo wrong. So as information for others...... Stanbic Pension would process your request for statement and ref letter in 24hrs (you won't pay anything but you would have to give them a letter of instruction/request).... See Pg 0 for format Stanbic MMF would process in 48hrs and you'd need to pay N2,625 to their account and send them evidence of payment + address you want the ref addressed to and other details).... they do not require a request/instruction letter. ARM MMF would process in 24hrs and you'd need to pay N2,000 to their account and send them evidence of payment + address you want the ref addressed to and other details).... they also do not require a request/instruction letter. GTBank would give you your statement there and then but will not give you a tailored reference letter. The generic one they have is N525. You can decide to add a "letter of non-indebtedness" and "signature confirmation letter" and each is also N525..... though I didn't see the need for it. The GT lady however mentioned that if you want a tailored ref letter, then you contact your account officer (you can get those details when you log in to your internet banking profile)... your account officer would then be the one to obtain approval and prepare a tailored letter for you if they choose..... Sample tailored letter is also on Pg 0. CONGRATULATIONS to those that obtained ITA.... may your documents gathering process be a smooth one |
Justiyke4u:Any of your experiences can be the primary NOC. Primary NOC does not have to be the first job you did. |
Congratulations to everyone that has gotten PPR so far. Nd even bigger congrats to those that have crossed the IELTS hurdle. To those that haven't, please do not quit now.... the struggles would be a distant memory in no time. As additional study materials for writing, there are these set of videos on Youtube that I had used for my writing. The lady breaks down how to answer all the different types of section 2 questions. How to structure your essay and all. You can give it a look if writing is your challenge. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tuOWF-n-Q4A The links for all the other section 2 types can be accessed from this first link. Another tip would be to actually practice the writing. It's easy to watch videos and think "I've got this" and it might be just too much trouble to be writing a lot of words up and down unlike listening and reading.... but if you don't practice, exam conditions might worsen your unpreparedness. Anyways.... goodluck to future test takers and to those writing again.... I do hope that it will be your last time |
Those that requested for HST refund from WES after completion of evaluation..... can I just confirm from you guys that it does not change the initial report evaluation completion date?? Cuz I just checked my WES portal now and I can't see my completed status or the report that I downloaded 2 weeks ago. Instead I am seeing "We are currently reviewing your application" and "We are currently processing your refund". I just need to verify if my report date will change when they are done processing the refund. Thanks |
