ikeno: lol, truth is you can't avoid customers from owing you.but what you can always do is to tell they to give u money first before staking games for dem. sometime,am flexible to my workers cuz I kwn what they go through with some customers. I have close to 5 phones and personal properties belonging to customers and close to 50k owed by customers just this week and if I should deduct this money from my cashiers I doubt they will be taking much home monthly.but ,I always pay them their full salary and give dem strict instructions not to play on credit. You are considerate enough Boss here doesn't want phone or anything just his money he is after Makes us pay so much debts yet he boasts that we are earning so much money |

JidennaJason: Look for another job bro.... Betting job will drain you financially and mentally as you would be depending on tips for a customer who won.
You can't save anything from this kind of job neither can you gain any experience.... It will only turn you to an addict no matter how discipline you are. Am not a football fan and I hate the bet of a thing with passion, I pity most of them cos they are helpless about the addiction |

After my resignation from my former job where I served as a manager in a very small private firm, rather than being idle while waiting for NYSC,I stated working in a bet9ja outlet owned by my cousin's husband. Its a month working there but I lost close to 20k due to debts from customers, 1) Gamblers are greedy that why will continue stacking with empty pockets hoping to win to at their debts
2) They stack so high, like 1.5k for 3tickets once , they won't be able to pay if the game isn't won
3) The shop is located near a university, some will drop their school files, textbook and other valuables as collateral and will never return for it
4) Most of them do fake transfer At end of everything, I use my personal money to make up these, my savings is zero now. Am scared of being idle at home, at same time I loose money daily
No doubt, there's side money and tips aside salary but you will end up using the money to pay for debts |

A tele communication for that matter o plus my boss is always aggressive and lashes me with abusive words as she pleases did I mention the basic salary is 35k, FGS!
If you come across this before Monday. Kindly advice on what to do. Have you made enough savings ? how long have you worked? what next after resignation? |

veraiyke: Simply put, I wasn't paid as at when due and after two weeks into the new month (February 2021) I asked for it and drama came up. I told them to expect me when I get the salary or simply keep it to themselves let me have my peace. Two weeks gone and nothing and I've forgotten it. You should have waited patiently and get that salary that should be your last sacrifice I knew this is my last month in the company and I waited for my salary till 14th Feb nobody fit chop my sweat |

Tokskob2008: His excuse was that he hasn't been paid fully for the contract yet and the upfront he collected was used for our accommodation and feeding. It was later we learnt he doesn't go for any job without collecting 80% upfront the remaining 20% is what he use for paying us and if the clients don't pay the balance or pay late we get the short end of the stick. Thats bad of him he can actually pay 30% till client completes the payment Everyone should feel it too |

juniorstar: the man is training you to make money work for you and not you working for money. but the part I don't like is the insult. if care is not taken he might employ someone who isn't as trust worthy as u claim to be. he knows you are a trust worthy person and would definitely miss that. the thing is how old are you cos if you are less than 25 he is trying to put fear in you. I must say I learnt principles of money from him Am just 24yrs will the insults put fear in me?, no just depression it causes me Lastly, I don't have to swear on the part of trustworthiness He is from same town with me, and I have been moving freely in the town, he isn't looking for any of his pin |

isaythetruth: Most Employers in the country take advantage of the economic situation and rising unemployment rate in the country to treat their employees like trash.
Sadly, our Labour laws are not that strong, that is why this bullshit continues... But a word of advice to us; Before you quit your job, make sure you have enough savings to last you till you get another one.
Or on the alternative, make sure you have gotten another one already, believe me, it is not funny in Nigeria anymore... one man was complaining a few days ago that to eat once a day is now a problem for him, people are suffering in Nigeria.
And sadly, our government ain't doing shit about it, they reward bandits with millions of Naira, but can't do shit for hustling Nigerians hustling to put food on their table.
Ok, oya no help us, but at least give us security, they won't.... who did we offend in this country? Exactly at this point Nigeria has failed us and the rich takes the advantage of the situation |
