Hello pushing mamas, pls can anyone suggest a good standard lab in Lagos where i can do medical tests such as glucose tolerance,complete blood count,hepatitis b/c and so on?

Pathcare Nigeria. I know they do the glucose tolerance only at their VI branch n u have to go in early b4 10am cos it will take 2-3hrs. Their number is 01-4616311. They do all others at both Ikeja n VI.

There's nothing anyone says that will make much sense to you though you hear, not till you calm down. You have to look for a way to forgive him n forgive yourself too. Yes yourself, cos deep inside you, you harbour sthgs - no matter how little-against yourself for what happened.

Marriage is not a bed of roses, and our mothers who have been married for over 30, 40yrs, that you see and admire; if you ask them what they've gone through before getting to that stage, my dear you will marvel. There is no excuse for adultery, but do you want it to break your home?? Your story, is one of big testimony, it shows God truly loves you n so the devil will be more interested in trying to break your home. You have to gidi up be strong n pray to God about it, He will surely hear you.

Oh yes, DH has to learn his lesson, but not thru fights, shouting, et al. For me, it is SILENCE too. His food n everything am meant to do for him will not be late for a sec during lesson period -I take better care of him sef- but no serious conversation at all. Talk about heaping coals of fire on someone's head. But u know your DH best, n should know how to teach him a lesson without fights. Also pls, like @modath said, DO NOT GO SNOOPING into DH's stuffs deliberately- bad recipe! It shows you have the seed of distrust, i.e, if you do.

Lastly, just remember that bundle of Joy you are carrying and how you came about it! Be happy, my sis! Sorry for the long talk oo.

@favoredgal, long distance road travel isn't ADVISABLE for a 6weeks old baby. The potholes, road bumps, sudden brake applications, no restroom, dust et al, doesn't make it advisable. Likewise, travelling by air with a baby younger than 6weeks isn't advisable: change in the air pressure u rightly mentioned can cause damage to the inner ear/ear drums.

@firsttymum, nice one! So I should take a bath for 7hrs?? Don't mind me jare just an impatient person.
@titila, did not ask u to do the 7hrs, ma'am. We are different though, I prefer to get to my final destination ASAP especially when pregnant. But pls make sure u get your free hotel. All the best dear

@bisilola, thanks for the response. Stopovers more than 8hrs is entitled to a free hotel. Mine is less than 8hrs, but what am really trying to avoid is the long stopover -7hrs is too long for me.

Did the same trip Mar/Apr this year n really didn't enjoy the 7hrs wait n the 8.50pm flight was delayed. Where in LA are you using??

@kaylaychi, congrats on your POE. I am heading to LA too this month with Emirates. Pls your flight from lagos to Dubai was it the afternoon or night one?? Was planning going on the afternoon flight but that will give me 7hrs stopover! If I could try your timing would be so happy. TIA

@hafsat24, do you also feel this pain between your thighs or your bum?? What about when you turn over in bed?? It could be either symphysis pubis dysfunction or pelvic girdle pain. If it is either, there is really nothing you can do but to manage it. It can be managed by tummy and pelvic floor muscle exercises, voiding sudden movements, pulling your knees up as far as you can when lying down, keeping your legs together when lying down, et al.
But alas! It might be neither and maybe you just pulled a muscle or ligament- one of the joys of pregnancy. Sorry. If not better, it is better you check to put your mind at rest- better nothing than sorry. All the best

@Deezou..thanks much 4 d input..it actually eases the constipation i hv..can go for days without using the loo nd no amount of fruits help..sure I've heard about it being taken to reduce pain during the 'show'..especially here in the north..the white zobo is given to expectant mothers as from 8months..that it flushes out excess sugar taken throughout pregnancy..it is their belief that sugar is the culprit causing pain..and in so doing..they usually have less painful and easy labour/delivery..like I said its deir belief..meanwhile I'm soo looking forward to that time so I'll ask my mama to bring down my 'mixture' ..

I have been a guest for long but felt the need to join n comment on this cos have also learnt a lot from this forum. I believe zobo is made from dried hibiscus flower, right?? If yes, then it is so not advisable for pregnant women, TTC women n men...it affects the women's hormonal balance n can trigger a miscarriage in 1st Tri or preterm labour. On men, it affects the health of the sperm. You may pls research it, but I found out this from research too. The few sites that said it's okay said there is no medical records to back it. Hope this helps n not confuse!
