Few weeks ago, a single father posted his twins here on nairaland (https://www.nairaland.com/6519966/twins-plus1-today-im-happy) and I was so moved, I reached out to him that i wish to assist him with some little token monthly if he don't mind, I dropped my contact, he contacted me and i assisted him with the token as promised.

But i noticed a lot of members on nairaland started contacting me for assistance, some even thought i run a charity foundation, so this prompted me to Start this weekly GiveAway.

The beneficiary will either be a Widow, Widower, Single parent and i will also consider Students because i know it is not easy here in Nigeria.
This will serve as my little contribution and pay back to Nairaland because this forum has really helped my Roofing Business thus far.

ok, that's good, it shows your dog is territorial. Try coming out late at night (try to play the role of a stranger), without the knowledge of your dog and see if he'll try to attack you. Ensure the place is dark, but not completely. Remember incase he does, try to call his name so he doesn't injure you. I'll need your feedback.

ok, what's happening to your dog is in its DNA, it has nothing to do with it's surrounding or how you trained it. Take a local dogs as a case study. Most owners don't cage them or chain them, they don't live in isolated places, many stay in unfenced houses, but what we know for sure that they grow up to be territorial and don't let strangers into their space.
Chaining your dog wouldn't make it territorial, it only makes it aggressive (wild) which is something I'd advice you not to do.
All you can do for now is to get another dog, let him learn from that dog how to protect his yard from strangers. If you're not comfortable with that, then find someone close to you that owns a dog, let them stay together for a while.
Study his attitude at night, is he lazy?, Does he sleep all through, is he active at night?, Does he reacts to the slightest sound?, Does he bark at odd sounds at nights? If he does the aforementioned excluding sleeping all through, then you're dog is 100% okay.
