I did a complete wipe/factory data reset, i also wiped the cache but i saw somewhere to wipe the Dalvik Cache also. Make i reset everything try again then. . This ROM is to sexy for me not to use!. BTW how did you go about overclocking yours cos the process wey i dey see i no dey gbadun them.

Finally installed the virtuous ROM on my Desire Z, men this ROM is killing my phone o! . Apps and Processes just dey crash anyhow.

I just checked my HBOOT version and its 0.98.0002 and AlphaRevX supports only 0.98.0000. What do I do?

Funny enough my Camera works just fine. . I am downloading the Virtuos as we speak though.

Seems like development on the Virtuos Unity ROM has been put on hold for now because of some copyright issues with some other modders. . Well I'm currently rocking the MIUI.US ROM and its not bad at all. Life does exist outside CyanogenMod.

Thanks for the encouragement. My liver is growing everyday, maybe this coming week I'll try my luck with rooting my phone. In the mean time, I'm scouring the net looking for info on those tools u mentioned (AlpharevX and Gingerbreak). Some questions tho:
1. If I S-Off my phone, can I S-On back again?
2. Which app would you recommend for making a backup of my phone's current state just in case something goes wrong in the future?

To make a backup of your phone,you need Clock work recovery which will only work when you are rooted. To make a backup of just your applications, install Titanium backup.

Well if that is the case you need some real hands on experience,which from what you are implying the Indian firm is going to offer you. My advice for you is to set yourself a target and a deadline on what you want to achieve and how long its going to take for you to get there. I will suggest you set yourself a deadline of at most 12 months in which you will need to gain all the experience available to you. It's not going to be easy but you sound like a guy who knows what he wants for himself. A salary of 15,000 every 3 months is slavery and we all know that but just see the period as a learning process. By the way make sure you brush up your CV and apply for jobs while the process is going on.
