I thought i was the only one feeling this way. When they cane out with the E71 i rushed to grab mine because it was the best business phone in the market at that time.Months later i was the E72 and before i could say Jack Robinson i saw an E73! i was like what the Zap??All of them running the same Tired Symbian OS.I was so disappointed in Nokia. In this day and age when you have the likes of Andriod,IOS4 and Windows phone 7 as your competitors .Nokia has since lost its creative touch and are gradually towing down the line of Palm. They have lost me also as a fan and i am going for my HTC's running andriod. |
No need to panic bro. Your device keeps pointing you to the internet so it can download the necessary firmware file needed to restore itself.Drop the Last 3 digits of your Ipod so i can determine which firmware file you need. |
Use your Nokia Phone Updater from Nokia PC Suite to update. As for the soiling, revert to page 1 of this thread. |
Jonathan’s aides, Etteh get national honours Presidential aides, ministers, governors, former governors, top monarchs, retired military officers, federal lawmakers, clerics and senior politicians are among the 185 people listed for the 2009 national honours awards approved by President Goodluck Jonathan. Former speaker of the House of Representatives Patricia Etteh who was forced to resign in the wake of corruption accusations against her in 2007 is also receiving the award, according to a list published yesterday by the National Honours Awards committee. No one is getting the highest national honour of the Grand Commander of the Order of the Federal Republic (GCFR), while three people are listed for Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger (GCON), 13 for the Commander of the Federal Republic (CFR), 27 for Commander of the Order of the Niger (CON), 43 for the Officer of the Order of the Federal Republic (OFR), 46 for the Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON), 22 for the Member of the Federal Republic (MFR), 25 for the Member of the Order of the Niger (MON) and 7 for the Federal Republic Medals I and II. Three awardees who got GCON are Chief Justice of Nigeria Aloysius Katsina-Alu, former chief of general staff Admiral Mike Akhigbe and former Senate president Joseph Wayas. On the list for CFR award are Chief of Staff to the President Mike Oghiadomhe, Emir of Gwandu Muhammadu Bashar, Shehu of Bornu Abubakar Garbai el-Kanemi, Oba of Lagos Rilwanu Akiolu, former speaker Ghali Na’Abba, Inspector-General of Police Ogbonna Onovo, Head of Service Steve Oronsaye, former finance minister Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala and Etteh, whose name appeared again among the awardees for CON. Etteh was forced to resign as speaker in late 2007 after she was accused of authorising the spending of the N628 million on the renovation of her official residence and that of her deputy. She was not charged to court and had denied any wrongdoing. For the CON award, there are presidential adviser on power Bath Nnaji, central bank governor Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, Kwara State governor Bukola Saraki, former first lady Fati Abubakar, former Kaduna State governor Balarabe Musa, former petroleum minister Don Etiebet, former director of military intelligence Halliru Akilu, Gbong Gwom Jos Buba Gyang, business mogul Femi Otedola, as well as former governors Abubakar Hashidu (Gombe), Shaaba Lafiagi (Kwara), Lateef Jakande (Lagos) and Sam Egwu (Ebonyi). Among those awarded OFR are chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Farida Waziri, foreign affairs minister Odein Ajumogobia, leading Islamic scholar Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi, Senate Chief Whip Kanti Bello, Deputy Senate Leader Victor Ndoma-Egba, police affairs minister Adamu Maina Waziri and former Niger deputy governor Shem Zagbayi. Those awarded OON include senators Umaru Dahiru and Sola Akinyede, solicitor-general of the federation Abdullahi Yola, former first lady of Lagos State Remi Tinubu and chief Imam of the National Mosque Musa Muhammad. The investiture of the awardees would be conducted by the president at a date to be announced later, secretary of the awards committee Shehu Malumfashi said. http://news.dailytrust.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=21321:jonathans-aides-etteh-get-national-honours&catid=1:latest-news&Itemid=119
What a pity! |
sophianah:Thanks alot,i feel very encouraged by your post. I have just have to turn my head the other way when the offering basket gets to me. |
Upgrading you firmware fixes bugs and increases the stability of your phone. If you upgrade to a newer firmware,it overwrites the previous one and you loose all your information except you make a backup. You have to soil you newer firmware in order to install unsigned apps. |
I am planning on going to church today, but i am feeling a little discouraged because i do not have any offering money to put in church. Should i be feeling this way? |
Sorry bout the Typos. |
leuelliot:This is the reason while you where able to jailbreak it because you phone was already activated. For us who have theirs stuck on the emergency screen, there is no jailbreak yet. |
I wonder when this will happen in Naija. source http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/technology/10461048.stm Finland has become the first country in the world to make broadband a legal right for every citizen. From 1 July every Finn will have the right to access to a 1Mbps (megabit per second) broadband connection. Finland has vowed to connect everyone to a 100Mbps connection by 2015. In the UK the government has promised a minimum connection of at least 2Mbps to all homes by 2012 but has stopped short of enshrining this as a right in law. The Finnish deal means that from 1 July all telecommunicatons companies will be obliged to provide all residents with broadband lines that can run at a minimum 1Mbps speed. Broadband commitment Speaking to the BBC, Finland's communication minister Suvi Linden explained the thinking behind the legislation: "We considered the role of the internet in Finns everyday life. Internet services are no longer just for entertainment. Finland has worked hard to develop an information society and a couple of years ago we realised not everyone had access," she said. It is believed up to 96% of the population are already online and that only about 4,000 homes still need connecting to comply with the law. In the UK internet penetration stands at 73%. The British government has agreed to provide everyone with a minimum 2Mbps broadband connection by 2012 but it is a commitment rather than a legally binding ruling. "The UK has a universal service obligation which means virtually all communities will have broadband," said a spokesman for the Department for Culture, Media and Sport. Making broadband a legal right could have implications for countries that plan tough action on illegal file-sharing. Both the UK and France have said they may cut off or limit the internet connections of people who persistently download music or films for free. The Finnish government has adopted a more gentle approach. "We will have a policy where operators will send letters to illegal file-sharers but we are not planning on cutting off access," said Ms Linden. A poll conducted for the BBC World Service earlier this year found that almost four in five people around the world believed that access to the internet is a fundamental right. |
