;DM jst glad Madrid lost today

As in ehn! It appeared to be the best news of my day - that was until Barca lost.
I think the coach got it wrong with the line up. He made a mistake leaving key players on the bench! Here, I'm not saying the players that started are bad, but they lacked inspiration. At times in the first half, they looked clueless going forward. He ought to have started either Lionel Messi or Neymar; alongside Suarez up front. Against a team like Sociedad, a 4-4-2 (in any format) is always d best! Choking up the midfield and taking the initiative upfront!
However, I'm sure the Catalans would get back! I guess it was the Christmas break hangover! And before I forget, sit tight...the season has just started!

£45 million? WTF

M4gunners:
Matt Hummels would've been a good move if Arsenal buy him, but 40m for defender is too much i must say.

You're absolutely right! But with the market at the moment and how clubs pay over the top for players, it is quite hard to see a quality plater with a reasonable transfer fee!
I think David Luiz started the trend for defenders, when he was signed from Chelsea by PSG for £50 million. Other clubs have placed huge price tags on their players generally! Chambers, Vermalean, Luke Shaw, Jeremy Matheius, Mangala, Felipe Luiz...these players have moved to their current club for a huge transfer fee.
The market these days though!
