Im a VO and i am thinking, you have your personal business and you say 15 persons work under you, but you still rely on your rich uncle to sponsor 50% percent of your tuition fee huh huh not a single penny from you even when you own a business to support your academics. how is that so? or does your uncle also pay your workers?

The Vo even asked
*Why are you spending so much on a masters since you have a business?*

that statement should mean something to you
Hello brother,

Hi, I'm pleased to know there's a CSU applicant around here.
I'm applying against spring 2019 semester; just wanted to start things off a bit early. I'm aware application for that semester starts this month tho.

I sent more emails yesterday and they responded in no time. I may be needing your guidance as I work through this process, I wonder if you'd mind me sending you a PM.

Thank you.
Applying early is smart. Exactly what I am doing right now. for Spring 2019, you'll be able to apply from August 1st. So use this period to gather your documents and write your standardised exams. Go through past transcripts, to learn and not copy. 100% Honesty. smiley

feel free to message me sir.

I wish you all the best. smiley

Hello guys,
I want to appreciate all the people that have been contributing on this thread and making life easier for Nigerians aspiring to study in the US. You guys are doing a great job. I wonder if anyone here can help me with answers to a few questions regarding my application process for master's in Mechanical engineering at csu Sacramento.

It is not mentioned anywhere on the school's website that one should submit a sop as part of requirements, is this an oversight or are there schools that don't require a sop for master's degree admission?

Secondly, is the accounts statement meant to be submitted during application or after one has been admitted?
I have sent emails to the graduate school coordinator of the faculty and office of international admissions, and it's running into weeks now, none of them has replied. What kind of school does that.

Please anyone with idea about csu Sacramento should help with a reply.
Hello, I applied to CSU, Los Angeles, so I think I can help out with some answers.

All CSU universities make use of the CalApply portal. However, they all have different deadlines. you shoyld have gotten a response but a reason might be that the school isn't taking in applications anymore. (They ought to have responded to your emails to explain that though).

Just keep trying to reach them by email and try calling them too.

I hope I made small sense sir.

All the best.

Thank you
But from my Transcript,is there any mistake or do you think there is need for corrections?
I am sorry for the delay in your visa approval. in my opinion, you should work on the reasons you gave when the VO asked why your aunt is sponsoring you.

Why aren't you being sponsored by your parents?
This aunt of yours, doesn't she have kids of her own?
What does your aunt do?

the VO might not ask all of this questions, so it is all on you to always sound convincing.

lastly, be calm and 100% honest. Those folks can misinterpret agitation for dishonesty.

As regards the SOA, don't change accounts. ..just work on your answers.

I hope I made small sense.

All the best

lalahhh:
Please this is my proposed transcript. Please help me check it. Criticism is highly welcome please . Thank you.
Me- Good morning
VO- Good morning, pass me your passport and I-20
VO- where are you going to?
Me- I’m going to North Carolina Central University in Durham, North Carolina for my masters in History.
VO- what’s your major?
Me- History
VO- how many schools did you apply to?
Me- For full applications I applied only to NCCU but I applied to the University of Wyoming but a decision from NCCU cake through before I could complete the application of University of Wyoming.
VO - so why NCCU?
Me- Aside from the full scholarship I got to attend NCCU, NCCU’s history department enables students to enjoy and benefit from a mentoring environment that allows students reach their full potential and places them in a position to be successful researchers as the schools history department produces more students who have earned their PHD in history than any other Historical Black college and University in USA and this I am fascinated by as my career goal is to be a history professor in one of the top universities in Nigeria and I also feel proud as a Nigerian to be attending a school in USA who’s chancellor is from Nigeria.
VO- what’s your highest degree?
Me- B.A in history and international studies
VO- so how did you hear about NCCU?
Me- my sister first told me about NCCU and then I made a research online about it and I was very impressed by its cultural diversity and how easy it would be for me to settle in well being that its HBCU (Historical Black College and Univeristy).
VO- how come your sister knows about NCCU
Me- she went to North carolina A&T and she
told you great stuffs
about the school which she learnt from her friends schooling
there..
VO- I see you graduated since 2015, what have you been doing since then?
Me- after graduation, I completed my NYSC and I started working with my dad at his Quarry in Ogun state .At the quarry I help out with general administrative duties including but not limited to typing of memos, taking minutes in meeting, I take stock too and staff recruitments and salary preparation. It’s more like the HR of the company sir .
VO- in your previous interviews I noticed you wanted to go for Peace and Conflict Resolution why change to History?
Me- History and international studies is the course I did as an undergraduate. And In NCCU I get to minor in Peace and Conflict Resolution.
VO- what’s your study plan?
Me- I must complete a minimum of 21hours of History major classes ,9hrs of external minor and 9hrs of internal minor related to History, complete a reading proficiency exam, complete a comprehensive written exam and complete a research thesis of 6hour credit which includes oral exams.
VO- what will this course do for you
Me- A masters degree in history is extremely versatile, and after the
completion of my studies i would be taking up a teaching position at
my Alma mater .
Also, Nigeria history is enriched by archaeological discoveries just
like  Egypt, Rome and Israel to which millions of people in search of
truth and possibly their roots pay so much in accommodation and
travels to register sentiments and presence. It is unbelievably
surprising that in Nigeria no such effort is made to match these
countries, Thus i plan on collaborating with the Government in giving
Nigeria rich history her  best possible recognition  .....
VO- who’s sponsoring you?
Me- I have merit scholarship and family support
VO - types for a while and says your visa has been approved.
Hello dear,

Nicely thought-out transcript, I must say. I'd like you to work on your answer to how you heard of NCCU. I wasn't really convinced.

Don't forget that you've got to sound very convincing and your points have to keep the VO 'interested' in listening to you.

I hope I made small sense ma'am....and congratulations in advance. smiley

I apologize for the late reply. Your answers are really good. Look at the first part in bold (why CSU), I had to read it about 3 to 4 times to understand what you were trying to say. Maybe I'm just dumb lol or maybe you'd need to pass that message across better. Remember the VO may not have the chance to go over your answers as patiently as I did.

Second part in bold... also, really good answer. I was wondering if you could talk about what that managerial skill and responsibility of management in the Nigerian health care industry are, and link the two with a sentence. You can leave your answer as is, not a problem. I just thought of that when I read the sentence (lol, you can ignore it as I won't be your VO).

See, your transcript is good. My comments are just improvement suggestions. During my visa interview, I wasn't asked any of these questions and it could happen to you too. I got a different set of questions entirely so my focus on your transcript is how you understood your questions, how your answers addressed what's asked, and if your plan for life after school was carefully thought about... and you did well.

I wish you the best.
Thank you dear.

God bless you. smiley

VO: How many schools did you apply to?

Also, upon my initial research, I found out that theses universities have an ongoing research in Healthcare management and policy. I reached out to him about my desire to join the research group and he encouraged me to choose CSU.

Me: I would be taking 36 course units in the 24 months duration of the program with core courses such as Healthcare Law, compliance and ethics, Managing a healthcare organisation, financial management in healthcare organisation and so on. These courses will enable me to develop the necessary managerial skills and awareness of recent innovations ans reforms in order to fulfill the responsibilities of management positions in the Nigerian healthcare industry.

My job role is primarily to provide admistrative suppprt for admistrative assistants, ensure that day to day operations functions effectively and efficiently, and to handle amd organize all medical documents and records.

VO: What are your plans at the end of your program?

Me: I'll be coming back to take over the administrative unit of my mother's healthcare company and will also be able to collaborate with the federal government in improving medical intelligence and surveillance as the Nigerian health care had suffered several disease outbreaks in the time past such as Ebola, lassa fever and so on. Nairaland GeneralBlind Prophetess Predicts The End Of The World by doublezero7(op): 9:38pm On Mar 18, 2018
A blind mystic who correctly predicted Brexit, 9/11, the rise of ISIS and the Boxing Day tsunami also made a chilling prediction about Russia.

Prophetess Baba Vanga is famed for her predictions, many of which have come true with eerily similarity.

The Bulgarian psychic, known as 'Nostradamus from the Balkans', has foretold many natural disasters and global wars before they happened.

And, despite the fact that she died in 1996 aged 85, she left a couple of clues as to what we could expect as 2018 rolls around.

It has emerged she has predicted that Vladimir Putin and Russia will dominate the world, the Birmingham Mail reports .

In 1979, during a meeting with writer Valentin Sidorov, Vanga said: “All will thaw, as if ice, only one remain untouched - Vladimir’s glory, glory of Russia.

"Too much it is brought in a victim. Nobody can stop Russia.

"All will be removed by her from the way and not only will be kept, but also becomes the lord of the world. ”

Britain is currently embroiled in words with the Kremlin following the poisoning of former Russian spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter, Yulia on British soil.

Prime Minister Theresa May has given 23 diplomats identified as “undeclared intelligence officers” seven days to leave the UK, a move which Russian ambassador to the UK Alexander Vladimirovich Yakovenko describes as “absolutely unacceptable” and a “provocation”.

Meanwhile the Russian embassy has told Britain it should not threaten a nuclear nation.

Before her death, Vanga predicted glorious future for Russia once more, the Daily Post reported .

According to the Bulgarian clairvoyant, Russia will be the world’s only superpower.

She also made a chilling prophecy about the use of nuclear weapons and World War 3.

Blinded after being picked up by a freak tornado as a child, Baba Vanga - born Vangelia Gushterova - believed she had the ability to foresee the future. She reportedly made hundreds of predictions in her 50-year career.

She shot to prominence after accurately predicting the sinking of the Kursk in 2000. Her millions of followers believe she had paranormal abilities including telepathy and being able to communicate with aliens.

Her numerous predictions about world events and the state of humanity have become infamous, including claims she predicted the rise of ISIS and the fall of the Twin Towers.

Specialists have since calculated that 68 per cent of her prophecies had come true - slightly less than the 85 per cent claimed by her followers.

What else did she get right? And what does the future hold according to the mystical seer?
The Kursk nuclear submarine disaster

In 1980 the blind prophetess predicted that in August of 1999, “Kursk will be covered with water and the whole world will weep over it.”

Kursk was a Russian sub that Sank in the Barents Sea on August 12, 2000, killing all aboard.
9/11
In 1989 Baba Vanga said: “Horror, horror! The American brethren will fall after being attacked by the steel birds. The wolves will be howling in a bush, and innocent blood will be gushing."

On September 11, 2001, planes hijacked by Islamic extremists hit the World Trade Center in New York, killing thousands of people.
China rises
According to the prophetess, China will become a world power in 2018.

She’s probably out a few years here as China is already an economic and military powerhouse.

We’ve also apparently got a change in the earth’s orbit to look forward to some time before 2023.
A golden age
A new energy source will be created and global hunger will start to be eradicated between 2025 and 2028. A manned spacecraft to Venus will be launched.
Ice caps melt
From 2033 to 2045 the polar ice caps will melt, causing ocean levels to rise. Meanwhile, Muslims rule Europe and the world economy is thriving.
Cloning cures most diseases
The rise of cloning allows doctors to cure any disease as the body is simply and easily replaced.

The US will launch an attack on Muslim Rome using a climate-based ‘instant freezing’ weapon.
Red and green
Between 2072 and 2086 a classless, Communist society will thrive hand in hand with newly-restored nature
Mars attacks!
A LOT happens from 2170 to 2256, including a Mars colony becoming a nuclear power and demanding independence from the earth, the establishment of an underwater city and the discovery of something “terrible” during the search for alien life.
Time travel
Some time between 2262 and 2304 we’ll crack time travel. Meanwhile French guerrillas fight the Muslim authorities in France.

The "secrets of the moon” will be unveiled.
The end of the earth
From 2341 a series of natural and man-made disasters render our home planet uninhabitable. Humanity escapes to another solar system, but resources are scarce and wars are waged as a result.
Going backwards - 3815 to 3878
Civilization has been destroyed and people live like beasts until a new religion rises to lead us out of the darkness.
Immortal alien hybrids

From 4302 to 4674 the concepts of evil and hatred have been eliminated, humans are immortal and have assimilated with aliens.

The 340 billion people scattered throughout the universe can talk to God.
The end of all things
In 5079 the universe will end.
