Kenny82,u ddnt specify what u applied for.

@everyone else, are we sure shell would actually drop successful candidates just to employ northerners?and if they were going to do so,Idont think the hr staff would be so liberaal with such information. once you're successful (i.e at this point u've not recieved any regrets from them), I c no reason y we shld panic,,,.earlier though, I did suggest we shld do other tests like mobil for the sake of options

ComputersRe: Why Is Fast Internet Only A Dream In Nigeria by douecho(op): 2:14am On May 16, 2009
3 isnt that fast is it?and I've used starcomms and mtn while in Nigeria and I can assure you it took decades to check ordinary yahoo mail. had to switch back to yahoo classic so I could check my e-mail before the century ends.
ComputersRe: Why Is Fast Internet Only A Dream In Nigeria by douecho(op): 8:49am On May 14, 2009
once globalcom completes the undersea cables from the UK, watch internet prices fall, phones charges dropping, what Nigeria uses is satellite based internet connection or basicaly buying bandwidth from 3rd or even 4th party suppliers

Globalcom will probably corner the market once this project goes live, many ISP will have to buy bandwidth from them, should happen quite soon
please, when is this happening?I heard such things when they said that by the time Nigeria puts up a satelite, then the mobile phone tarifs will go down. who sai? Its still very dear. and which century will they finish laying the cables?

Also, Please for those of you paying for overseas internet, is it really as fast?and EXACTLY how much are you paying?
thanks guys

Well, it still boils down to fast internet being only a dream. I'm sure in the canada where you're getting your internet from, the cheapest package will still be faster than any in Nigeria. How easy will it be to provide cheap and fast internet in NIgeria? What do we ned to put in place to have it?Also, please how much do you pay for the canada internet?

Please people, is it that there's something in Nigeria that will not allow fast internet anywhere in Nigeria?(And please I dont mean jazz) Is it really so impossible to have internet speed that is even comparable to the worst in uk? And what ever it is that is missing, is it so difficult to have it in Nigeria? I find it frustrating trying to attach large documents, or open media files in Nigeria. soon as i get back to the uk, i click on something and expect that I should go and make eba while it loads and within seconds, its open. And this is the cheapes of all internet connections I have o,cos I be student.

Abeg, someone help me explain. I feel providing TRUE fast internet is a big biz opportunity in Naija!
Christianity EtcRe: The Seven Atrocities Of Pastor E.A .Adeboye. by douecho: 12:55am On May 10, 2009
SOMETIMES, ONE HEARS TOO MUCH OF FALSEHOOD THAT IT BECOMES VERY DIFFICULT TO IDENTIFY THE TRUTH.
I CAN'T THANK GOD ENOUGH FOR THE ACCESS I HAVE TO THE BIBLE. SOMETIMES THESE MEN SPEAK ACCORDING TO THE SCRIPTURES, AND AT OTHER TIMES THEY SPEAK, PERHAPS, FROM THE QURAN (FALSEHOOD). REALLY, IS JUST DIFFICULT TO KNOW THE TRUTHFUL ONES.

I TRUST IN GOD ALONE!
Solosimple!something no de heavy you for mouth?how you go talk quran and then add falsehood in bracket? I bow to you u o.

as for everyone else, remember the story where children were laughing at Elijah for something as simple and innocent as being bald. Wetin do them? not to talk of saying person no b man of God.leave these prophets alone. I am not saying Adeboye is good, or bad. that's between he and God. I'm sure God is more than capable of taking care of anyone who is doing anyhow, All of us sabi read.Bible na cheap something.buy ya own read. judge not that ye may not be judged no be joke. As you've feel that this jet he bought or whatever is not helping the poor, how has it taught you to cut down on your excesses?no be d same rope tie all of us?

Debosky, abeg, we need to gist oh. got lots of questions to ask you (ok,maybe not lots but one). can see you're into project management stuff. need some ideas.
Just finishing my Msc project management in abz and I absolutly love to be a project manager. However, dont think many company's will be very keen on hiring a PM with less than 2 years of relevant experience. Will it be a complete waste of my Msc to accept a position as a grad engineer?
Please, u still online?
And please, anyone who can, please say what they think.

FamilyRe: Love Marriage Or Arranged Marriage Which Do You Prefer? by douecho: 1:49pm On May 09, 2009
like someone rightly said, arranged marriage no 'forced' marriage. also, to each, his own. some people no fit do arrangee. some people no mind. People who have been married for decades will tell you. Love is very important in a marriage;but committment is undoubtedly MOST important. in arrangee marriage, the parties usually enter it committed. the love comes eventually. arrangee and love marriage all get who e de work for.
