bigpicture001:The last 50 years was the best period for poor countries to climb their way into prosperity. Several countries were able to do it—though at varying levels of success, but still they did. With the advent of Trump 2.0, the coming years are going to be brutal for countries like Nigeria. |
Stacking funds |
I'm beginning to have mercy on Pep's mental health. |
This man deserves a chilled bottle of beer. Completely unbiased and straight to the point with his analysis. How can inflation drop 10% within a three-month-span without visible positive changes in the day-to-day life of the populace? Propaganda does not a government make. Also, Tinubu's continuous enactment of incongruent policies never ceases to amaze me—especially for a supposedly brilliant Deloitte accountant. How do you free-fall the naira, only to turnaround and further defend it with 8 billion dollars—taking up more debt in the process—when you were so adamant about drastically reducing our debt burdens prior to mounting office? |
Yahoo boys wey no sabi drive and dey pack colos full body na dey teach person how to drive. RIP to the deceased. |
So the true Lagosians are marginalised and treated like a minority in their lands. Of course, the ogun and Osun extracts who are ashamed of their lands would say it's a show of love as ethnicity trumps imaginary land borders but do the true lagosians feel that way or are they being spoken for in the same leadership positions are taken away from them? |
Today we put an end to that useless debate: 1 Mbappe is better than 20 Haalands Who dey breet. Fûck man shitty |
The reverse is the case. You and the UK forced them into war, making him forego a settlement that would have made both him and Putin happy in April 2022. That he heeded your advice in the first place should have made you all send the weapons he requested the second the words left his mouth. Instead, you stalled and further prevented them from going on the offensive. Zelensky should have been smarter as well. It's such a shame that whatever settlement they eventually agree on won't differ much from what was initially set. Only difference being the millions of lives lost along the way. The West agreed that sacrificing Ukrainian men was justifiable to weaken Russia. Zelensky agreed likewise. |
I am not sure I understand what you are saying about what happened during March 2024. Should the increase in the value of the naira not have made investors more secure about their investment in the country? Why were they in such a hurry to cash out? It makes no sense to me. |
Obaaderemi2:If these theoretical economic improvements were to be reflected in our day-to-day lives, such as a decrease in the price of goods and an increase in foreign investment, and still people ignore it, then we can rightfully call them out as enemies of the nation. However, the plethora of propaganda that has been published by the government since ascending to power has made the populace grow increasingly weary of the "faux" promises of growth and justifiably so. |
When the economy began going awry, we didn't need sponsored articles to figure it out. The knowledge was seared into our brains through the comparison of lived experiences under better times and the horrid situation we found ourselves in, which persists to this day. Likewise, it will be the same when things begin to get better. We'll just know it. |
Boris Johnson asked him not to take a deal that would have been favourable to both parties in April 2022. Weakening Russia took priority over anything else. |
ruggedtimi:What year was that? Cos I did my internship ar one and it was not even close to what you described. Don't get me wrong — we were well taken care of but tens of thousands daily to a million? Lmao |

Europe have allowed themselves to be cucked by Trump |

Reminds me of the 13-year-old igbo girl, Chineye, whose guardian I had to report for the abuses the latter meted out on her. |
What do they mean with the statement that Europe alone cannot guarantee security to Ukraine? Russia, as it stands, cannot wage a war against a coalition of the stronger sect of the EU, with or without NATO, without suffering a defeat so mighty it would send them to the stone age. Even Putin knows this. |
The only people defending this girl online are Igbos. Even on Nairaland, na emeka na still dey defend am. Make of that what you will. |
So sad |
This useless braindead "ingenious" Deloitte accountant bastard cannot think of any other innovative revenue generating method beyond taxation. |
My guy wey go Algeria two years ago. Nobody don hear from an since then. Omo wealth, where u dey? |
Passed through Oyo town last month. The road is currently a horrid mess. i honestly thought i was going to die as the car i was in struggled to navigate the severely bumpy, rough and uncompleted road amidst the huge tankers trying to do the same. At a point, I beckoned to the driver to stop so I could walk on a safer path until he reached a more secure and level ground, free of the trailers and tankers, before I reentered. I know for a fact that I will never ply through that road or region ever again in my life until it's fixed, which we all know would probably never happen. |
femisplash:How does that correlate with the content of this post which details the attack inflicted on civilians and soldiers by Putin's men? |
The VP thinks this is a laudable achievement to announce 🤣 |
Edoreborn:Same |
The fool's just digging himself further down the hole. |
If the money too much there fit decline you too. Na wetin affect me. |
Hope she's fine and won't end up like the BRT girl or Uduak Akpan's victim |
When these incompetent buffoons hit the limit of their mental capacity—and it doesn't take them much to get there anyway—as regards the running of their countries, they reach for the low-hanging fruits as a means to satiate the needs of the equally dumb plebs they preside over. They enthusiastically scream, "He threw the French out!", "He eliminated their military base!" etc. But how has that action brought you progress? Throw them a question on the benefit of the removal of the Red Cross organization from their country and watch them stutter and mumble to give an empty, non-coherent response. These fools will never be free. |
