SuNnChNn:You would have no justifications for killing her. She made her choice early enough for you to leave her and look elsewhere. |
iice:That's what I'm talkin 'bout, iice. I better have the stash and choose my own friendz than let the stash choose my friendz fo' me, cos my butt would be completely exhausted from maintaining a million+ friendships. ![]() |
Yea, I guess addiction might be the word since I've been losing some sleep and weight recently. Pity. Lol, I guess I'ma have to change ma Time Management tactics, and deliberately miss out of a lil fun. ![]() |
Yea baby, NETORATI, and you don't have to be an ordinary NETIZEN else you will be missing out on much fun, Lol, what am I talkin 'bout? ![]() |
Happy to have you around, Briz. Now let's get more of us over here! It's getting more interesting poco a poco. ![]() |
iice:You best believe it, baby. Anywayz, it's almost 6am here, but I just woke up few minutes ago. I'll soon be getting ready for the day's activities. Like I mentioned in some thread, I wish there were more than 24 hours in a day, because I never get bored of da Internet, being a true NETORATI!!! ![]() Good morning to ya, iice! ![]() |
Actually, I would rather prefer to have a million dollars than have a million friends that would each give me a dollar. I say this because if I should have a million friends give me a dollar each (and knowing that they all collectively made me a millionaire), I would be rather too conscious of the fact that I owe favours to a million folks. Hence, I would rather have a million dollars and decide how I wish to spend the money than have a million (actually, two million) eyes watching me to see how I'm going to spend the money they gave to me, even when it's given gratis (dash). |
Yeah, you can download the song (both audio and video) from my music blog, http://douzical.blogdrive.com. It's one of my favs now. ![]() |
First, a girl who is older than you are is more likely to be more experiened than you are. This is something girls don;t really appreciate, even if they may try to hide it. It is in their nature to seek in a man someone who appears and really is much stronger than they are, which would then give them the sense of security they look for when in the presence of their man. Often they want a man who would sort of goad them around. An upcoming American female R&B/Hip-Hop artist says in her first single, Complete, "Nobody wants to be with somebody that lets you have your way all the time, Everybody wants to be with somebody that's strong, Cos when you're weak, you need somebody that's gon' pick you up and make you complete." These words are an apt description of what girls want from their man. So germane those words are to the issue at hand, because girls would rather see these qualities in guys that are older than they are, no matter how burly the younger man may look. Second, they all talk about us when they are among themselves, and none of them would love to talk about being with a younger guy in their girl circle, as this may make her appear rather too weak and scared in the eyes of her fellows. She wants to show her girls that she is in a relationship with someone who can really take care of her and not that she's using a poor little boy. Every girl needs a bossman, and she would more likely find one in an older guy. |
I can't think of doing any other thing than cut off my relationship with the girl right away. I mean, even if both of them later try to assure you that they had stopped dating each other, it'll be extremely risky to bring in that girl into your family as your wife. First, the scandal is already there. Second, the luring temptation is likely to overwhelm both of them someday in the future. |
Born @ groovy P.Town (PH), now holed up and bored in Abuja. ![]() |

I hardly ever get bored while online, rather I find that I hardly have enough time (both day and night) to do all I wish to do on the net. These days I wish there were more than 24 hours in a day. Diversity is what propels me when it comes to surfing. I can hardly surf the net with less than TEN webpages open. The last thing a cat, nay a kitten, wants is to be bored. ![]() |
iice:*amused* I guess I'ma have to be careful witchu. A kitten and a peregrine, not a cool match, lol! |
Well, it depends on the kind of contents you are interested in. There a host of cool sites, but who knows what is cool to you and what is not. You can also check out www.naijayouth.com, another Naija forum like Nairaland. Go to www.singingfool.com to see the latest music videos and ish. Let me now what really is cool for when it comes to the net and I'll try to furnish you with sites that have such contents. What is more, you could also a little search on www.google.com, www.en.wikipedia.org/wiki, etc, and you would never ever get bored online! Happy Browsing!!! |
Great post there, Doctor! Though sex can lead to a greater sense of bonding between willing partners, it however is not the yardstick for measuring how much a man loves a woman. Nevertheless, I don't believe that true love ultimately leads to the altar. Love has so many nuances and could take several dimensions that we could find two individuals who are undoubtedly so much in love, yet they end up not getting married to each other, which is more reason neither sex nor marriage is the end of love, and neither is love the means to them. Love is all about being there for one another. It's all about a willingness to make conscious (and even unconscious) efforts to make sacrifices for the other. It's the disposition to always wanting to give without expecting anything in return. It is the apogee of the I - Thou relationship talked about by the existentialist. It is the feeling of oneness with the other person, the realisation of yourself in your neighbour (whether the relationship is sexual or nonsexual). The mistake we often make is that of trying to orphan the erotic love from the agape love. They are one and the same, but manifesting under different lights. God created man and woman and I believe He wanted sex to be part of the procreative process. Yet we have men and women who live in the same community, love each other (or one another) so much, but no sex. It's all one and the same, which is why St. Paul would tell us that it is good to get married, but better to remain single and celibate (he has his reasons, so don't be so quick to attack that). All said and done, true love will always be true love, manifesting itself in selfless sacrifice for the other (without conditions), whether it leads to the altar ultimately or not. If the sex aids the bonding and the parties are willing, good and fine, but those of us who must be in the good books of their religious leaders should know that they should avoid sex before marriage. |
Ok, thanks y'all! |
iice:Aww, you a duck hawk? So cute!!! |
iice:Yea, my kitty world. I'm a CAT, a kitten, and I purr, ! |
Aww, Thanks a bunch, Bhola and iice! You're welcome to my kitty world. |
iice:Yea, I guess. Thanks. |
Y'all welcome folks! @diddy, I love that. @Bhola, that's cool. @iice, you're always welcome here. @buzz man, you would even love it better now. Yea, ABJ's def a cool place to be. Been here for almost two years, though I still think it's not as groovy as I find P.City (P.Town - PH - Port Harcourt), where I was born. Anywayz, I'm still looking to enjoy this place like I feel I should, reason I wanna get to know more Nairaland peeps 'round here. Let the party begin!!! |
Hey! Seun, you better let me in or I'll gatecrash!!! By the way, you are yet to let me know why I got banned for an hour few hours ago. |
I don't know if a post like this already exists on the forum, but may all the big bois and gurls of ABJ please stand up! We need to have us a jabber 'round here. |
iice:@iice, yeah I've never done it before, but I think my gurlfriend is now the only one delaying me from crossing the rubicon. |
Can someone let me know if it's possible to cancel one's account on Nairaland, and if possible, how does one go about it? |

Wherever my pace slurs, There my race ends. Then I shall dwell In timeless grace, Because I AM! (An excerpt from my poem, I AM)[/center] |
Orikinla:Thanks a lot, Orikinla. I appreciate everything. About the text/background colour issue, I've taken note of that. I love playing with colours indiscriminately, though I'll try to be using lighter colours that would contrast with the background in my subsequent posts. Only I like making posts that directly have to do with Nigeria in green (and white). I'll visit nigerianbloggers.com soon. You've always got my respect. |

Lol, I guess I'ma have to change ma Time Management tactics, and deliberately miss out of a lil fun.
