Electronzeez:Very good point bro, I will see a way to forward it to you. Every relevant info will help. I feel let's not rush into this esp in this first week of registration |
Electronzeez:Bro that's what our oga sodiqyinka advised long before now on this thread. But during my school's briefing with nysc, this question was specifically asked to them (the nysc officials), and the said we are to re-register again. According to him (d boss that led the team), that its only those who were mobilized (that is, those who received the call up online) but didn't go are the ones to re mobilize/re validate. Needless to say that, I went further to send an email to nysc via their official mail account, and the reply I got was 'you are to re register again' (I still have a copy of it). So now, a lot of questions/issues have been directed to boss Sodiqyinka, I wouldn't want to add this to him now cos of stress etc. Let him be free a little before he attends to this. Carefulness needs to be considered here. What do you think? |
chidexSmokey:Correct!! Seems we both and many others here have the same similar 'matric number not in use' thing. |
Electronzeez:Actually, I was among those who registered online during C14 online registration but later found out that we weren't mobilized. Thus, our names were not on the master lists sent to nysc. Although I didn't proceed with the payment then. |
honey001:Yes bro, I've seen mine and also checked for. two of my mates. |
chidexSmokey:For few minutes, I didn't even know what else to type after seeing and reading your quote. I'm dumbfounded. Thanks very much ChidexSmokey, you EARNED mine long before now. I believe yours (your name) certainly appeared on the database. Hope no problem at all. |
Electronzeez:Good to hear that. I just hope after all these delay, everyone here will have a reason to smile in ecstasy. |
Electronzeez:Long time bro, how you dey. Its just once in a while I do visit; and good to see that the thread is moving very well. It all started as if we were pushing the thread to start, now the speed per second is something else. Quite impressive number of guys really rendering selfless advice and service to keep everyone in check. GOD will see us through. How is work and everything. Hope you've confirmed your status on the portal. |
Hello guys, our GOD that has brought us this far, will surely see us through to the end. Permit me to wish everyone one of us here a prosperous service year in advance. Those who are yet to confirm their's should have faith and never give up. Warmest regards to the e-family. |
gbemies:This is 23 Feb and you're just receiving the message today? Oh no. Well, names were submitted to nysc last week (from 16-21st feb) and I believe your school is among. Just as she rightly advised you, as long as your DOB is not more than 30yrs, you're on a safe side; but try and go to your school's DSA to see if they can help. Though I doubt if you can do anything now. But make sure you input your correct infos when online reg starts next month. NYSC might probably send back all the names to various school to make final corrections before forwarding it back to them (nysc). Then, you can now make the required correction needed as regards to your data. This is because, nysc will match your data (online reg) with the one your school will send to them (master list). Try and stay in-touch with your schools dsa, friends with current info and esp with nysc batch A 2015 time table to know when informations unfolds. Hope this will helps. Best regards. |
OP nice one! Tailoring Tailoring and Tailoring!!! This and many more have been emphasized over again. I've come to realize that every section of our individual CVs is as important as your degree/grade; and as well should be taken serious. Some still doubt how relevant our hobbies are to a specified job. Significantly, many of us are blessed/gifted with a lot of relevant and irrelevant (fun) hobbies. But all these are for us to selectively pick the ones that connects positively to the job in question; and pls be sincere about it. If you don't have, I feel its better you leave it. NB: You remember the movie 'Ben Carson' when he went for an interview? One of his hobbies that created a good rapport with his recruiter was: his love for classical music (G.F Handel) even as a surgeon. Seems we share the same hobby. In summary, Just be Real and tailor your CV well. We are still learning. Kind regards |
chidexSmokey:Exactly. Congrats to you chidex, hope you're having a splendid weekend |
Ikocyztem:Yes bro, my name was clearly and boldly written on the list; All thanks to GOD. I hope yours was also there without any problem? Let's keep all hope(s) alive and have faith and let GOD have His way. To all my fellow unibuja guys here, i believe you had no problem locating your names on the list. Needless to say this, all the wounded soldiers currently on this thread, I hope none of your names was missing this time from your respective institutions. Distinguished ladies & gentle men, I believe you've all seen, edited/corrected your names, for submition next week. Happy Valentine and warmest regards. |
Thanks and God bless you |
QuartzMil:I believe you have a Student Affairs Department in your school. Go there and check if your name is among the prospective list released in your school for nysc. Alternatively, you can just directly ask the person(s) incharge of typing the names to see if your name is on the list. Meanwhile, hope you have been cleared by your department and your result approved... All the best and be fast about that. |
cooljude:Pls kindly refer to my earlier post for a little clarification, where I quoted in response to damilola's question. Anyone with a more different view/answer can still clarify. Best regards |
damilola231:@damilola, you need not to register again. When the online portals re open, there'll be a provision for all those who registered previously with the hope of going with C14 to re validate their already existing registration. Log in, update your info and possibly explain why you were not mobilized previously. For the 4,000naira, nothing was deducted for those who paid before. But its now 3,000 for all those who wish to pay (still optional). Hope this little info will help. Best regards |

graciella:Thanks @graciella, but can you both attempt on my last question(s)/post on page 12, since you both are currently serving there. |
Pls i will appreciate having a cv sample. Dparagon.ozioma@gmail.com thanks |
orekelewa09:Well aside the 10k issue, pls for you guys serving in Enugu, how is service in general over there; in terms of accommodation, LGA's, cost of living, good ppa, running a professional course, employment/job opportunities and everything necessary etc. Thus, you know the basic/vital things a corp member who wishes to serve in enugu state needs. Thanks |
graciella:Hmm that's interesting. That means even the 10k from a private school, its probably not certain if it'll be complete unless you have an agreement with the said school and the employer agrees? |
Dparagon.ozioma@gmail.com thanks in anticipation |
graciella:how do you mean, can you kindly elaborate since you're currently serving there. |
Electronzeez:I know its coming late, but its rather late than never. Happy Birthday to you, wishing you all the very best in life, long life and prosperity. Hope you enjoyed your day. |
chidexSmokey:Our one and only Chidex, you're the only one I know that can do this; you were right on time to wish your E-BOO a wonderful birthday, fully packaged with bountiful blessing(s). Chai!! Electronzeez, you are a lucky guy. Every aspiring intruder(s) abeg make una 'BACK OFF/KEEP OFF' for this people. Sorry, mine is coming late. I was very busy throughout. Happy Birthday my oga Electronzeez |
Nikapetrelli:You're welcome. I think you should just exercise patience so that our fellows from oyo state will briefly tell you how the state is. More also, you can visit/search for any NYSC Oyo State thread (esp recent threads & C14 house/members) where you'll meet with already serving corpers in the state. By so doing, they can answer all your fears, doubts and questions better including 'accommodation and cost of living'; which are also vital. But i feel the state is ok from what I've read from other Oyo nysc threads (Iseyin camp). Once again, welcome. |
ladokuntlad:Welcome back bro, hope you're doing good. 'See as you just calm your one & only pinkiepetite down now now' |
chidexSmokey:Happy Birthday to you. Sorry its coming late, I was not online throughout yesterday. Its never late to wish you a long life and all the very best in life. |
noordean:Exactly bro, even with any other info of significance to everyone. Anybody or (those) who wish to update the house should pls try and do it this way; and since the time table is now official, let the count down begin today. Best regards and a blessed weekend. |
Dparagon.ozioma@gmail.com thanks |
I recalled sometime few weeks back when that time table was released, i thought they said the time table might still be changed. Well, still on the NYSC 2015 Service Year page on facebook, someone also shared a link there from punchng.com website that the May 5th orientation camp has been shifted to. May 26th 2015 for Batch A by nysc director of press and public relations. With all these news emanating from different sources, let's just remain calm and exercise patience with a positive mindset. Good afternoon House |
