@all

NB: when dragnet makes comments as a user and you have contrary opinions, it's normal and I have absolutely no problem with that.
But opposing the moderator and breaking the rules governing that is another issue. And I try as much as possible not to mix them up but it's unfortunate that some people can't distinguish between both and always try to play the victim card.

Guy na today? Me, I am happy I am 'ungrown' at least I face facts and know the truth. Better to be a small pikin wey sabi truth than a 'grown-up' who shies away from the truth and sees a battle in every contrary opinion.

Well mentioning it has the desired effect and that's perfectly ok by me.
The solution to your problem is beyond me, my mention of battles had absolutely nothing to do with contrary opinion, let me help explain it to you since you seem to always have problem comprehending simple posts, it was directed at complaining to banks bla bla bla. I also wonder what crappy effect you're referring to, if you break the rules, you get banned irrespective of who or what you are or whatever pathetic lines you add to your post.
If you know me quite well, I work with what's clear to me and not sentiments. Banning doesn't add a dime to my balance, so what's enticing about it?
You air your opinions and I've aired mine, must my opinion always go with the crowd? Numbers doesn't in anyway represent the truth.

it's pathetic and disgusting when you mention that line always.

Ok, make I take this thing from the bottom up:

Oga Dragnet, you are right...in some assertions: yeah she did offer a service but in offering that service, she also did something else: she sold dollar, cos she woulda quoted a rate of naira to dollar ratio. When the transaction was declined and she eventually felt the whahala was too much, she needed to have worked out a solution satisfactory to both her and the client...like I have said in time past, communication is key.

...reason she gave was she was experiencing too many declines and besides she needed the funds for personal use (paraphrasing) that ain't good enuf and definitely not businesslike. One shouldn't mix one's personal needs with business...in as much as one's personality would dictate one's preference and attitude, the business and personal life should be compartmentalized.

@Gunbiz @Singapore1: Understandable that sometimes, we tend to shy away from 'correcting' popular and 'big guys' but that shouldn't be the case, and understandable that sometimes we would like to stay out of such, but @Singapore1, saying make the babe no come lament cos when dem dey strike deal, e no call us, ermm...is a bit insensitive and a uncalled for (yeah I fit flog you cos remember, you still dey find job from me when I buy Nigeria on ebay finish tongue)

@TCD @Lordkay10 @Infinitikoncept: una talk well, and una make me proud. @Lordkay10, thanks for the mention, I'm humbled.

@Justijesu: Often times on NL, when peeps who don't know you or have transacted with you asks for who fit vouch for you, I've always responded with: if justi is not genuine then no one on NL is...this despite the fact you and I have never transacted any business. But integrity alone ain't enough. Relationship is everything, even in business. Communication is key. Yes, if person 1transact business, let them come and talk straight 'bout bizness not asking you what you ate for breakfast; I totally agree...but wetin happen in dis case transcends that.

What you did is like what GTB used to do and we all they complain: refunding naira at the rate a declined transaction was done days after when dollar rate has gone up, and doing prevailing rate when dollar don drop, thereby always short changing us. If the case was reversed and na you be Janine, can you honestly and conscientiously come here and tell us you wouldn't have had issues with refunding naira at a rate lower than the prevailing rate?

Cc: dragnet...same goes for you.

As a business person, profit is important yes, but we don't always get that all the time. But you can always mitigate losses and strive for a win-win situation. I sometimes tell peeps that it's possible to be selfish, yet still have everyone benefit e.g dollar rate don go up and you eyed the profit in 'selling' those funds (let's all call a dog by its name abeg) now you could have been selfish and told Janine, come na naira I go refund o, but I go give you additional 10/15 naira per dollar, you 'sell' the fund give the promised 10/15 per dollar, and you pocket 20/25 naira on every dollar (depending on what the transaction rate was when the deal was sealed and the rate when the funds were refunded). If you had done dat, Janine wouldn't have come here to cast aspersions on your person (and subtly accuse you of scamming her, which let's face it, is what you actually did shocked grin undecided tongue) but to sing your praise and write glowing recommendations worthy of Nobel prize.

Yeah, I know, I sabi carry fire for head grin cheesy...bite me! tongue
don't tag me unnecessarily, I choose my battles.
and transactions are treated differently because they're surrounded by different conditions.

jainine said she has moved on all she wanted to do is to bring to light what transpired between herself and justi4jesu....if anyone thinks what justi did is not bad, I suggest you put yourselves in jainine's shoes . ask yourself how many $ the naira would have bought 10 days ago and what it can buy today... dragnet, if rates were lower today, will justi have refunded the surplus?

Truth is, jainine was deprived the ability to use her money for other profitable business for 10day...justi definitely used the money to trade for those 10days

I have paid someone on here in advance naira equivalent of RMB i didnt need when rates were #50, he had started selling @ #54 when I eventually neded it but he did not charge me extra for it....he gave me mr RMB @ #50

oga dragnet...me I for like see you for court sha ooo grin cos all those things wey you dey talk ehnnn

BTW, that RMB seller is infinitikoncept ( gbayi baba)

let everyone continue to do as they think right....every action or inaction counts...noone knows tomorrow
let's be objective here, if rate was lower, I'll expect justi4jesu to still refund same amount in Naira which was transferred to her since her dollars is still intact.

and we should be clear on something, did justi4jesu deliberately hold funds for 10 days? did she request that the client leave the funds with her for 10 days? because you seem to be accusing her wrongly.
..
..

Technology MarketRe: Exchange Rates Of International Currencies >>>Updates on First Page<<< by dragnet(mod): 7:53pm On Aug 27, 2016
we should be clear on this issue, did justi4jesu offer a sale or payment service?
when the payment bounced back, did the client request for a refund immediately and was denied?
Technology MarketRe: Exchange Rates Of International Currencies >>>Updates on First Page<<< by dragnet(mod): 6:48pm On Aug 27, 2016
TCD:
you don't see anything wrong? He paid for $810 ... 10 days ago which is worth more today. or do you deny that for him to pay that $810 today he won't spend more naira than he did 10 days ago? whatever be the case that $810 is his. and if he should get a refund he has a right to ask for his money in the dollars he paid for.

it's a ridiculous excuse to say I don't want to do payments anymore because I am afraid of declines ... if the money is declined again and so what? is it not his money of which he has already paid you for?

if for any reason you cannot send the money politely say so and he is a reasonable man he will understand. stating "I need the money for personal use" Is absolutely disrespectful and wrong, it ceased to be her money the moment she collected naira for it it belongs to the customer and he should have a say over what appens to it.
we have to differentiate here, she offered a service and not an object for sale.
Making payment is a service and you can refuse to offer your service if condition warrants it. it's different from making a sale, if she sold the dollar on a particular day and collected payment same day, then didn't deliver it on that day, then maybe the scenario you're painting could be valid but she actually delivered it.

Jainine:
Dollar which was already bought. why refund naira after you know rates has gone higher. Do you think she will ask to refund naira if rate dropped.

Prior to the refund day. We already agreed she uses the same payment fund for another payment. During that time why didn't she decline. And immediately refund my money. .. Eventually the dollars was refunded and she wants it.

I'm not in for small fight. I feel cheated and I narrated my ordeal with her.
she obviously gave you a reason why she couldn't make the payment for you anymore and also showed you some proof to back up her claim, either the reason is genuine or not that's a different story entirely, your assertion may not hold water in a law court.

All that is wrong to me is that she is rude.
Even if she has a genuine reason for refund, I expect courtesy especially for a regular customer.
The customer lost something for keeping her fund for 10 days with her.
The customer was expectant. The customer has the right to be angry in this case. The customer needs to be gently treated for such foul mistreatment (as that was how the customer interpreted it)
You can check her response even on this thread. It is totally wrong
Rude? please point out where she was rude in the conversation shown in the uploaded screenshot.

I'm yet to fully see what's wrong in what justi4jesu did even though looking at it on the surface it may seem wrong but most of those commenting are not being objective, they're just being sentimental and commenting out of spite due to past ordeals. Even comparison with banks is a faulty argument.

artsirseen:
Yes the kick starter is the device that rolls the engine but it is all thanks to the alternator to keep power in the battery intact so as to supply power to kick stater to roll the engine....so if while your engine comes up and running and your car alternator is not functioning well to retain charge lost while other functions of your car runs, the kick starter might have a problem rolling the engine after you turn of the engine....so the alternator is the main bros for inside your engine ooo, treat it right
You don't seem to understand what I was querying. He wrote "If the vehicle has difficulty starting after the battery is fully charged,".
please analyze that.

Thanks aeromon. i never depended on free shipping, i just asked. The exchange rate flunctuation does not come in play here except for shipping charges because item has already long been bought and some even delivered before the rate changed or whatever. the items were bought and paid for on the 11th he sent wutapp message on the 17th, i dont think its fair on anybody to do fresh calculations based on the new rate for items that has already been bought a week back with another rate. i Sony have a problem paying but it has to be done right.
I quite understand you but the issue may not have totally been mikky's fault, most banks have this fraudulent practice in which they don't usually make the full debit immediately the transaction is made. They'll initially hold the funds at the exchange rate of when the transaction was made, then probably a week or more when they'll eventually make the deduction, they'll deduct at the exchange rate of that day. This happens a lot and if you read through the exchange rates thread on this section, you'll see many people with similar issues and complaints, even transactions that happened two months back were debited at higher rates than the prevalent rate at the date of transaction and some people's account were even placed in negatives. Please try to understand that this isn't solely his fault apart from the fact that he may not have explained it as explicitly as possible.
Car TalkRe: How To Know If Your Car Alternator Is Failing by dragnet: 6:38am On Aug 01, 2016
If the vehicle has difficulty starting after the battery is fully charged, the problem likely is with the alternator.
this doesn't sound right...
isn't the kick starter or whatever it's called responsible for starting the engine? and the alternator only starts working when the engine is working and rotation has begun?
