While I understand your point, I feel that this all is down to personality.

I have an inquisitive mind and I just cannot accept laws or commandments just like that. I believe not questioning your masters is slavery.

Everyone knows that I'm a hardcore atheist here but I do not want to get into a religious debate.

I just want to ask you a simple question-

WHEN YOU WATCH FILMS LIKE PROMETHEUS, 12 YEARS A SLAVE, THE MATRIX ETC, DO THEY MAKE YOU QUESTION YOUR RELIGION?

Many hollywood films are made by atheists as well. The films I listed above in the question all tackle religion in different ways

1. Prometheus posits that life was seeded unto earth by aliens not god.

2. 12 years a slave has a scene were a white christian master was reading the bible and flogging a black slave

3. The matrix asks if this life is just a simulation and what if all we know is just wrong. It uses elements of Bahai faith

Not necessarily but one becomes more tuned to sense the energy others give off. It's more of an Extra Sensory Perception stuff
Agreed, but don't exaggerate.

I put it to you that said girl may not be totally blind.

When one sense gets impaired especially the sense of sight, the other senses become sharper. It's the body's natural way of ensuring survival. Visually impaired ppl usually have a stronger sense of smell, sharper ears and their sixth sense is sharper too that's how the girl was able to sense what you had on ur mind smiley
Interesting.

So blindness makes one a mind reader?

Dear DrDax,

Thank you for your post.

Yes, he has made his 'peace', but I have known him on this forum for about 8 years and peace is not in his dictionary. I am for peace, but he is for war. The last time I made the mistake of accepting his olive branch on this thread, he attacked me again in less than a week. Daggers are hidden in his smile and his gift offerings of peace is a poisoned chalice.

You cannot give what you don't have, so no, his peace is as fake as Toke Makinwa's brand new buttocks.

Thank you nonetheless. I am sheathing my sword until the next time he brings his out; it is never far away.

Na today? E don tey wey nyash get centre parting. Shior.

Yours sincerely,

Fantasy Island (2020)...5/10
Genre:Adventure, Fantasy, Horror

C'mon, folks here who said this was a dumpster fire & unwatchable, what made you folks declare it so? Even Rotten Tomatoes, I don't get the very poor review on their site, if they could rate 2 dumpster fires( The Main Event & Gretel & Hansel) above 20%, why shouldn't this get a pass?. Could it be that as an adaptation to 1978 series of the same name, it failed to live up to the expectations of it's predecessor?

IMO as a cinephile, I'd say Fantasy Island wasn't really as horrible as critics slammed it, neither was it good, but rather, it was an ok or fair movie which works as a silly escapism.

I haven't seen the series, but i found the premise quite intriguing, though predictable. Acting was very shallow, no of em' cast wowed me. Cinematography was rich.

Plotholes were a reoccurring decimal all through the flick, some were ok, others were unforgiving. The plot twist was also kinda poorly delivered/executed. It was kinda categorized under the Adventure, Fantasy, Horror genre, but it was more of the former 2 than the later, as it literally had no element of horror in it.

Not bad, not good either, but it was still very much watchable.
Thank you!!

The movie's not bad at all.

I especially love the whodunnit thrill.

6/10 for me
