I feel like going for F1 interview again.......98% granted! congrat all! I must tell my grannies to come and learn on this thread and apply for F1 visa....I'm sure, they will get it too Brov....Believe it or not...I already booked an appointment for my 87 year old grandma for an associates degree in pedagogy (or whatever it is being called)..I think with the level of preparation she got from Nairaland...dem no born the VO mama well!.....Harvard straight! |
Congrats to you and your hubby Anika shiloh! It was really God! ![]() |
emmanuelkim: Just DisaQualified In AbujaBrov....I for flog you for this kind testimony you dey yarn us here if to say I see you face to face. But thank God say na on top internet we dey..Gosh! There are a million things wrong with your answers and level of preparedness..First..you could have given a better site for research...e.g usnews.com,petersons.com and so on..not google..google bawo? You can even state like 4 sites to show that u really took ur time in making a decision to pick the school.Secondly, you told d guy you chose biotech cos u wanted a second degree...c'mon dude...that aint good at all.For a potential graduate student, the assumption is that you are focused and ready for a challenging career and u have d basics on what it entails and u are ready for face the challeenges it brings..This brings us to my next point...the definition of biotechnology...c'mon pal...my grandma knows it could be defined better than this way..You need conc definitions and applications of the aforementioned course in your country. But come to think of it...biotech can be applied to agriculture in a thousand ways if you really know what it entails..Have you ever heard of genetically engineered plants and animals? This will aid massive food production in the world and help sustain more lives(na point I dey give you so o).Anyways..there is a big link between Agric and biotech...go do more research..I am sure with God on your side,if you had gotten the above answers ready, the counter 8 VO would have issued you the visa even though she was denying people. And I do hope you really wanna study biotech in the first place...cos the VO must have seen you as a potential immigrant.Anyways be sure of what you want, get prepared, pray well, and go get the visa... Either Abuja or Lagos..God dey there..Good luck! |
imperiouxx: @yomi fola,Brov...it was their first experience o..But since all cases are not the same...you will get it..just try again but more carefully and prayerfully this time around ok? |
Please someone should answer me, imperiouxx, dr_do little, everyone pls..
Hello brov..my guess is that you graduated from the university since 2007 shey? If so, get a letter from your dad's coy stating that you have been working with him for that period of time i.e 3 or 4 years. However, I hope what you were doing is related to your intended major. How old are u sef? And what was your former course and your anticipated course? You must be very careful o.Let us analyze this together ok? |

Hi guys..there was a bunch of nairalanders in the Lagos embassy today and most of them were issued their f1 visas..NA GOD O!...and also provided they looked straight into the eyes of the VOs and were bold about the little info they had to offer. I must confess it was favour galour today..It was as if the Independence mood was still in the air.The VOs were all guys and were very nice. They dished out visas without many questions being asked by them...except for the window 7 guy who denied those that werent too bold enough. My visa interview went smoothly without ANY..I mean ANY document being asked for. I approached him with a big smile and looked into his face. All he asked were:why do you wanna study in d US? Which course are you going for? Why do you wanna study this course(you must talk about it's relevance to d situation in your country)? How many schools did u apply to and what are they? Why did you choose this school above others? What was your undergraduate major? What university did you graduate from and in what year? What have you been doing since then? You must also have an info on your sponsor and his salary scale cos one of us told me he was asked cos his dad wasnt his sponsor...That was all o. I pray those of u preparing for your upcoming interviews are as favoured as some of us were today.Bless you all. |
Paywole: @dr_dollitle pls I nid a dial I can reach u onHi paywole.I sent u a PM..I hope there is no problem. |
yomi fola: Helo house, i jst paid my sevis fee 2day and it was so so grt.thx 4 d advc house.LMAO! Nice One there...you do well o.. ![]() yomi fola: Helo house, i jst paid my sevis fee 2day and it was so so grt.thx 4 d advc house.LMAO! Nice One there...you do well o.. |
obusco4lyfe: it says on d sch site dt evry student has to hv completd there medical test 10days b4 d first day of class nd d first day of class is 27th of aug wich makes 10days earlier to b 17th of aug meanin i hv 2 b there b4 dt dateHello there..why dont u ask them about a possible extention first? Ask them this same question..they will reply you..cos I know their response will be the most accurate for you.But in case they cannot adjust the date for you,ask if you can do the medical tests here..I know the most important is always meningitis test. You can get some tests done in the general hospital close to you and also get some vaccinations and tests done in your local government. They will issue you the yellow card..Scan all the medical reports and the yellow card to them and then, you are good to go....that's my 2 cents o. |
Paywole: Tanks for your advice bro pls which of their offices do you think wud be best for me to go to cos I can see they have a lot of branches in lagos and do you think its advisable that I go to the embassy with two conflicting waec certificateBros...imperiouxx gave his own opinion....so u can choose to go with that..but if you aint still at rest, just check out WAEC's site and give them a call..that will solve the whole problem I believe. |
emmanuelkim: Thanks and God bless uAmen and you too. |
Paywole: This result am talking about is of the year 2004 and pls do you think they will respond to me as it has been a long year because am thinking hope they wont say the year is too far or somethingBros forget that one.People wey graduate for 2000 sef dey see their certificate collect within a week..WAEC has been computerized now o...Just go and ask them first...doubting Thomas.. |
imperiouxx: Right thumb up! Tell him ooo say he is not applying to Nigerian schools where he needs inside runs. Some people are funny shaLolzz...Thanks my bro.Hope you are doing good. |
Paywole: House! House!! House!!! Pls I need mature advice on my situation here cos my interview will come up in 3weeks time and right naw am kind feeling worried about my waec certificate because the age on it is different from the one on my passport but the one on the pp is the real age wat can I do about this I need suggestions pls and again am combining results for the embassy interview because I combined result for the skul for my admission.but the age on my second result is normal so pls wat can I do about my situation? My own little piece of advice.Go to the waec office and lodge a complaint concerning that error. They usually answer people...only that you might have to pay some amount. If they dont respond on time,..you still have ample time to go to your school to request for another transcripts in replacement of the one with the wrong date of birth...who knows? they might help you out.But if it cant be adjusted within the time frame, then maybe you need a note from your school stating the fact that it was a mistake..But the former would have been great. It's better to avoid any possible mishap on that day..It's just my opinion o..Any other experienced person can put a solution forward. |
MY BROTHER PLEASE I SERIOUSLY NEED YOUR HELP IN YOUR FRIENDS IN MINOT STATE UNIVERSITY COS I APPLIED INTO THE SCHOOL BUT I HAVE NOBOODY THERE PLEASE CAN YOU HELP ME WITH THERE CONTACT
Bro...why do you need somebody there? It doesnt increase your chances of being admitted in any way..Many of us did not have people in the schools that admitted us.What exactly do you need? We are here to help each other as long as it doesnt go beyond us. |
rowlandoo: Amen.God is in control , he never forsake those who trust in him . Aw ur sideBrov...I'm fine ooo. Yes my interview is next week monday. When is your school supposed to resume? Why don't you call the consulate customer care to inquire concerning possible dates in Lagos? I think you should hear from them first before making any decision. |
emmanuelkim: Thanks, It was my friend that told me, please i do not want to make any mistake, please should i reschedule the Interview to Lagos stateWhat result did you present to the school in order to get admitted? Did you use WES? If so,why dont you just take it to d embassy..They might not even ask for it...and if they do,you will say it was delayed due to some logistics in your insitution...and besides, most schools dont give original transcripts...just present your WES if you have it..If your interview for Abuja is next week, then you dont have to worry about rescheduling to Lagos.By God's grace you are good to go.just make sure other document are intact...and have a good reason for choosing the US and your school and explain how your career can thrive well in Nigeria.Chikena. |
Not a pastor but I believe in your faith heals you. I believe you guys will come and give success stories once unlike me who did it twice....lolz. Lozz...was just kidding. I am trusting God oo.Thanks anyways. |

Hi House..Please I am throwing this out the second time...just wanna be sure of this before I advice someone wrongly..His sponsor has prepared a bank statement of his account,an introductory letter by the employing company, landed property certificates and intends writing a letter of sponsorship since he is not living close to a high court. How compulsory is the court-verified affidavit of support? Do you folks advice that he gets it done instead of letter of sponsorship? Please help out.Thanks. |
