Please helllllppppppp!!!!!![/quote]Hello.If you have someone in the US,ask d person to send them a cheque addressed to SEVIS through a courier company..It should get to them on thursday.Then u can print d receipt on friday or saturday.Pls do that today if u dont wanna jeopardize your wife's visa.

Thank u house[/quote]Brov..just hold the birth certificate you have with you as long as it states your real age..Who said they ask for birth certificates during f1 visa interviews sef? Your international passport suffices for all biodata needed. As for your second question...I think it will be very helpful if you include your sponsor's tax clearance cos the VO might wanna verify if your sponsor is performing his or her civil duties.So please ask your sponsor to give the tax clearance docs to you.

If your Aunt is gonna take care of all expenses inclusive of your flight, then her name should be there..In short...put the name of your sponsor there,even if someone else is paying for your flight so that there wont be discrepancies in your info.

Normally it should take around 2 working days for confirmation of data to happen..but may take a bit longer for some processings to be done due to possible discrepancies in the data supplied and in a bid to make them right,time is being consumed..However,call them today in the evening (around 5pm or 6pm)after checking you online status.... to be sure nothing was wrong with the payment or the info sent to them. They will then hint you on the latest development..I trust all will be fine.When is your interview?

You've never been to the states before and I'll totally advise that you fly into the nearest airport to your school. Whomever this friend is, they should be mailing the package through UPS or FEDEX and leave ya alone.
You can't already be complaining of not having sufficient funds for a plane ticket when you are expected to pay for the length of your program without working more than 20hours/wk on-campus.
Again, I'll advise you leave the freaking package in Nigeria and think about YOURSELF first. Trust me, the whole getting on greyhound bus is not as easy as it seems.

Not to scare you or suggest any foul play on the part of your "friend's friend", you have to be very very careful when people you are not very close to ask you to help them deliver things across international borders, you can never be too sure of what you're carrying, its a format for drug trafficking. Again I'm not suggesting any sinister motive on your friend's part but be careful.

This is an opportunity to warn intending travellers, dont carry or hold stuff for strangers @ d airport.

Traveling interstate to deliver a package will be stressful for you, you can post it to the recipient when you get here or better still like JK suggested, leave it in Naija.[/color][b][/b]

To me, the is the best season ever on this thread. Just walk in, have God on your side, defend yourself well and come out with the visa just like that! Kudos to all fall students that are members of this thread that either got or not their visas. I pray God be with you all that got it over here. One thing I tell people is never relent even after been denied in sowhatever times, just keep your spirit high. In the past on this thread, people say once or twice denied shows desperation but to me it shows seriousness and rectification of loopholes. Do it yourself and have good intention when you get to US. The land is green if your intention is real. And those that haven't gone or wanna reapply, let your morale be awaken because it is well with you.

I understand your feelings right now.Tell your friend it's gonna be ok.Why didnt the school send the I20s to you directly? Well i will be asking my school for my score sheets as soon as possible because my cousin want me to start my admission process asap against next year either spring or fall whichever one that work out for me. I believe i can handle their interview because all what i'm reading here has been enlightening me and as for writing my Sat and Toefl, i will starting working on that as from now on. I'm going there to study International Relations.

I am glad it helped to an extent.You can even apply to schools in both countries if you have the money (say 2 in Canada and 3 or 4 in the US) but make sure they are of good academic standing in your choice course. This will help you in so many ways.Also prepare hard for your SAT and TOEFL tests..It is very crucial.Try usnews.com,petersons.com,or even college-board.com for selection of schools based on your field of study.Then liaise with your uncle on them.Also contact those schools and study their department of international relations' websites to see their prospects,facilities,rankings and so on.Check their admission requirements..but be ready to study for SAT and TOEFL from this moment onwards cos they will prove handy to you in a few months' time.

dnpasion: Many thanks goes to you @dr_dolittle and Sir P as well as Kpolli for let me say i am just a secondary graduate so i have both my waec and Neco results but i haven't got any of this results certificate yet because i was told its not out yet so i'm thinking Statement of Results should do or what do you think? Although i wrote my Neco in 2009 and i think the certificate should be ready by now. Well a relative is the one sponsoring me and he is right there in the states and he is ready to support me with the admission process and he told me to provide him my international passport, ssce results whichever one i chooses to use as well as my secondary transcript starting from ss 1,2 and 3 but third term ss 3 won't be included but a friend told me that transcript is meant for university graduate who is applying for postgraduate and secondly. I haven't write my SAT and TOEFL tests but i want to get the right informations of things i need to provide first before i go for the tests. Secondly about which one out of the two countries to use, someone told me that there is 100% assurance that canada will grant me a visa than the US because i will have to go for an interview if i'm going to study in the US, so i'm so nervous about whichway to go and that is why i'm asking you guys which one you think would be best for a fresher like me. Hey! bro..I appreciate your passion for quality studies. Ask your secondary school for details about your score sheets and your certificates (for both NECO and WAEC). Let them give you all the info they have first.But I think your statement of result and your score sheets should do for now..but it may depend on the school. Dont worry...it is ok to write SAT and TOEFL even when all other stuff aint ready..cos they will be needed for admissions and ultimately visa issuance(in case of usa but just toefl and your waec or neco in case of Canada). Don't be deceived.. Canada doesn't dish out visas like father xmas o...They also deny people a lot..And pls dont tell me that you are trying to avoid face-to-face interviews..I have seen young chaps like you get their visas both for usa schools and canadian schools...so dont sweat it. What course do you wanna go for and which year do you wanna start?

Hi there.To start with..what course do you wanna go for? What semester do you wanna register for and what year? Have you written your SAT and TOEFL tests? Do you have your WAEC transcripts and certificate? As for which country to choose..depends on what you want.Both grant and deny students visas depending on a few circumstances..so I cant give you a better choice.Different schools have their strenghts in different ways..so you have to research on schools that are good at your intended field of study.Thank God for the internet..you have all the answers there...Pls post very specific questions.Bless you.
