chumaster:
shopkeeper did not payout from his purse as far as John is concerned. Remember he collected 1000(200 in 5 pieces) from John
Haaa,chumaster!!!
chumaster:
the counterfeit is nothing.
It is just like the seller and the buyer did trade by battar. Ie they exchanged a 'piece of paper' for a '200 good + -800'
The counterfeit is something.
NYSC › Re: NYSC 2016 Batch B Corps Members House by Dream2(m): 3:37pm On Jul 07, 2016
legenduq:
If the shopkeeper is still with the counterfeit note, then he has lost 1000(800+200) and is holding a 1000note that he cannot use. So long as he's with the note it is assumed he has 1000 that is in deficit
Thank you for this.
NYSC › Re: NYSC 2016 Batch B Corps Members House by Dream2(m): 3:36pm On Jul 07, 2016
chumaster:
not at all.
The counterfeit(#1000) simply represents the #800 he gives as change and the value of good sold(#200)
.
Ok see it this way, assuming that the buyer came with just a counterfeit #200, will you say that the seller lost #400huh?
.
Simply, the seller lost is his good(worth #200) and the 800 naira he gave out as change ==> the 1000 counterfeit. This is just like a case where the buyer came and stole N200 worth of good and N800 the shopkeeper kept in his drawer and dropped a piece of paper for the shopkeeper
Think again!
Tell me what will happen to the counterfeit money?the money was returned right?Yes,shopkeeper paid out of his/her purse to avoid problem right?again, what will happen to the counterfeit money?
I still insist he lost #2000.

Yea... Kinda. But the only money lost here is the 1000 given to the customer, which was given to her by the shopkeeper's neighbour and which was replaced by the shopkeeper who has already collected 200 from the 1000 that John (the neighbour) gave to him b4 he gave 800 to the customer.
No be small thing. #My_opinion_tHo#
I disagree, the customer already went away with #1000,the counterfeit money which was replaced is for what?that's the end of it,you can't spend it again,so whose loss?the customer or the retailer?
I insist that the answer is #2000.

B. 2000

800 as change he gave the buyer, 200 for the item he sold to the buyer, then 1000 he gave to the shopkeeper John as a replacement for the counterfeit money.

800+200+1000= 2000

StarryV:
I'll appreciate it if u'll explain further.
Lemme try,
Goods=#200

Change=#800

Meaning the customer went away with #1000,so

The Retailer goes thus:

To avoid trouble,he/she gave the neighbour an original #1000 from his/her own purse, thus making a loss of #1000 so plus the #1000 lost to the customer making it #2000.
This is how best i can explain,no man is an island of knowledge though.

Ukwani in Delta state?wow,i swear down, have been to that place, that was early this year for a burial ceremony of one woman who happened to be my benefactor, she gave me an accomodation for good 2months,free food, morning, afternoon and night.
Remembering all this make me sad, though she's old enough to die, probably 95plus,but i wish she never die,RIP mama,i will never forget your kind gesture.

ADMISSION LETTER IS NEITHER NEEDED DURING NYSC REGISTRATION NOR DURING REGISTRATION IN CAMP.

besides, those that took Jamb before 2014 cannot print it again from Jamb portal
I don't get this,do you mean like if i sat for jamb in 2010,11,12 or 13 i won't be able to print jamb admission letter again?

Please what can be done about the above. As for me, the school collected my original jamb admission letter that I printed out. I have the photocopy though. Do they accept photocopy? If no, Cant I just print out another from jamb site.

.
You can still print out the jamb admission letter from net but you will have to buy a scratch card to do that,i think that's left to your school and not NYSC,for you to enter camp all you need is your SOR and school ID or your certificate(stand to be corrected though)

I pray their tuition fee has reduce sha,if not na to consider other options ni jare,4years ago,the tuition and other cost was up to 1.1M o,compare to other Maritime uni in the eastern world,me wey be say i come from a poor family, where i wan see that?

Wairre minit!! Which Uyo are you talking about? Lol... Abi is it the same Uyo that I am living in? Cost of living is high? High cost of foodstuff? High cost of accommodationhuh It's sounding very strange to me, bc Uyo is one of the moderate cities to live in. Maybe your expectations were way too high (were u expecting
heaven?), that's why you're obviously so disappointed. Most corpers that come here refuse to go back home after their service year...they stay back and get jobs here (I personally know of a lot).

About the slashing of allowee, biko be sure of what you're saying bc it's still very much a rumour...a friend of mine who's serving here said he still receives the 10K and regularly (they even pay state allowee earlier than the FG 19,800)
And did you say there are no firms here? You're obviously new to the State, so please make your research properly b4 giving out misleading info. Yes, most of the oil firms are in Eket bc Eket and the surrounding LGAs are the oil towns. But there are also some oil firms (majorly company headquarters) in Uyo.
Finally, you said the indigenes are backward and lazy? I don't know what your yardsticks for reaching this conclusion are, but trust me, my people are one of the most hardworking people and hospitable Nigerians you'll ever come across. Mbok, don't use stereotypes to judge a whole tribe and present them in a bad light. Thank you.
Now am confused,so you stay in uyo, that's cool, what can you say about the cost of living?what do you know about the maritime school over there becauise that's what pulling me to Akwa-ibom plus i will be so glad if you can change my orientation about the state.
NYSC › Re: NYSC 2016 Batch B Corps Members House by Dream2(m): 1:27pm On Jul 06, 2016
LogoDWhiz:
Okay bro...

first and foremost, d allawee has been slashed and it is not being paid regularly.. U myt only get to receive 8 or 9 months allowance.
Cost of living in Uyo is very high.. High cost of food stuff.. High cost of accomodation.
Social life is very much okay.. There are cool spots to hang out..
90 percent of corpers re posted to schools.. the rest Ministries.
Another major reason that made me say the state is overhyped is because there is no firm here.. You only have the oil companies, and they are in Eket and corpers are not posted there..
The indigenes are kind of backward, they are relaxed and not ready to work.. Give one money today, tomorrow it is finished...
Mode of transport is keke, taxi or bus...

But don't let this discourage you, if u feel like coming, please do.. This is just to help you make an informed decision
No companies and corpers are not been posted to the oil firms, high cost of accomodation, food et all and with #19,800k?the chance is slim jare, well i might reconsider later but for now,it's a NO,thanks so much for this bro, really appreciate.

The first should remain "a job" while the second should be termed "a career". There's a difference between the two.
A job is something you do in the short term to earn cash. It's filling a work role within a business exchange for money. A career, though, is a long-term pursuit of a lifelong ambition.

Notice the difference. A job is likely to be "short term" while a career is "lifelong".
Here in Nigeria, only few people are interested in pursuing their career, the majority just wants the job and money.

I think I like to do something I enjoy and love doing, if am not passionate about my job, there's every tendency I may leave that job too soon. Hence, I prefer to do something I love doing and develop myself in it no matter how small the pay. Thank you and goodnight everyone. *jams gate*
Thanks for this,so on point, opinion noted.
