OkpaNsukkaisBae: The poor leadership in the SE is one of the many reasons why we should tread with caution. Europeans will not run the Biafran government. It is better we set things right. You can't have corrupt and unaccountable government in Abia , Anambra , Ebonyi , Enugu ,Imo and you expect the Biafran government to be the benchmark.
In a nutshell , people like Chimamanda are not convinced that independence is the answer. Don't erroneously think that if Biafra materializes, that the present crop of corrupt leaders in the SE will be at at the helm of affairs. No, they won't. Igbos are over 50 million, surely there are millions of capable Igbos both home and in the diaspora. Don't buy this false narrative by the opposing media that we can't govern ourselves effectively, it is not true. This has always been their game plan since time immemorial. Trust me they know the height we can attain. They will always come up with such junks to dissuade us from reaching out collective goal. Like a couple of Igbos who are still not convinced about the secession project, Chimamanda has the right not to be yet |

OkpaNsukkaisBae: "but this idea that the answer is independence is what i'm not convinced of. Nobody has made a logical case for me. Quite frankly i've observed the terrible leadership we have in the SouthEast"...she said!
Not just about unity of the SE. I mean if we are saying that Nigeria is not working, is a failed State. Do we have the best of leadership and governance in the SE?
Security votes , constituency allowances...are they really empowering the people?
I concur with Chimamanda. She's right. The terrible leadership in the SE is the more reason why we should seek to free ourselves from the present day Nigeria because we as Igbos can't hold those leaders to account, when we do Abuja comes to their aid. Look at what happened in Imo state as an example |

You are not united, you dont know how to play politics m, you dont even know how to run a state yet you want to edtablish a country. Good luck with that I did not miss her point. My point is if Igbos are not united as she claimed, it is because the average Igbo man who should pressure these politicians to do the right thing are even no more interested in the Nigerian state. The politicians are not united not Igbos |

If Igbos are not 'united' for presidency, it is because Igbos are not interested in Nigeria and it's presidency. Igbos are interested in equity, justice and level playing field, these can not be guaranteed in the present day Nigeria. Take an unbiased survey of Igbos on what they want between Nigeria presidency and Biafra, come back and tell what the result is. |

If you understand the silent message therein ( in the adage),you'll definitely understand what that smart lady is saying. You are a clown. First and foremost, what is your business with Igbos and their quest for Biafra. In your warped mind, you think that politicians, who are benefiting from the dysfunctional system will now support Biafra that may end up taking away their source of illegal wealth. A much better second half especially as Gilmor came in. I think Kante's time at Chelsea is gradually winding down. His passes and ball control are poor. I know Lampard is not the kind of coach Chelsea need going forward because he is not just good enough for a big club like Chelsea but the crop of young talents in the team gives me great hope. |

OpinionCounts: You guys should take it easy with all these over exaggeration of how things work in the western world please, those guys are not perfect too guys, some of us are witnesses to this facts....no western country will close down an entire school just because a child suffered abuse haba!!! Yes, there will be serious investigation carried out, all suspects will be temporarily suspended from the school until found innocent, government agencies will swing into action to do a full audit of the school activities, one on one student investigation will be carried out to dig deeper and probe if there are other silent victims, but the school will not be shut down...do you know the level of child abuse and molestations that took place in the Catholic convents in your western countries? yet no single branch of the Catholic Convents where this molestations took place was shut down, investigations and penalties where carried out...have you not heard of numerous stories and cases where female teachers were having sex with underage pupils in western countries? Yet the school was not shut down, proper investigation and penalties will be served to the guilty parties, go to Google and do a little research you will be shocked at what you will find about this issue in the US alone, over 800cases in 2014 alone in the US yet the schools were not shut down, just proper and adequate investigation carried out with the guilty ones sentenced to jail....Simple. whether you accept it or not, in a sane society including western world, the school would have been closed down to PROTECT OTHER CHILDREN while investigation is carried out. Leaving the school open after listening to ALL the revelations by the mother of the child is irresponsible of the government. Did you not hear the woman say a parent whose child was in the school advised her against sending her child to the school. Another lady called her to say that her 10 year old daughter was deflowered in that school. These show that it is a recurring incident. Parents have been scared to open up, luckily a brave mother came out to talk. You don't leave children in that environment after hearing all these because if another incident happens then lawyers will have a filled day. |

They are well within their right to sue the school. If it were the western world, the school would have been closed down pending the results of the investigation. Child abuse is a very serious offence |
