EducationRe: Top Five Reasons Why Students Miss Out Of Scholarship Opportunities by dreamchaser90(m): 8:36pm On Jan 14, 2017
There are a lots of scholarships, the problem is most students don't search. Or even when they find such scholarships, they just conclude that you must know someone in order to get it. I got a federal government scholarship without knowing someone at the top and I know lot friends who did same.
Additionally, not all scholarship require English language test and even if a language test is required, it is worth it. Sure getting a scholarship doesn't come easy, but the benefits far outweigh the stress.
The point is if you try, you might or might not succeed. But if you don't try, you definitely will not succeed.

FamilyRe: Am I Still A Virgin? by dreamchaser90(m): 12:49pm On Jan 08, 2017
Whether you're virgin or not is debatable depending on who you ask. Others before me pointed out that you're still a virgin but still many others will argue that you're not because of the pre-intimacy.
But I do think that you're concerned about the wrong things. I know the society's (especially men) obsession with virginity, but that is something that I just can't understand. Why should a men demand that his wife (or girlfriend) be a virgin when he is not??
What defines people is their character and values, not their virginity. You stated that you're a 'one-girl-one-guy person' kind of person, just that one quality is far more important than whether you're a virgin or not. Believe me a man that is worthy of you won't be bothered by such trivial issues.
Cheers smiley

there is a good business that can make you over 10million and your children children children will make money of it. this is not Forex. And do not put that money into Forex trading, i am a Forex trader and lost all my capital in one day even borrowed money which has kept me in debts so don't put your money there unless you want have more money to play with. And people marry late for various reasons, not necessarily because they were bad or wasted their chances. Before you condemn someone, walk a mile in that person's shoes. Nobody is good enough to condem another.

Can you guys just stop the abuses? You both gain nothing doing that.
And yes, some universities do offer straight admission to Phd. That is you do both Masters and Phd at a stretch.
Just because it's not possible in Nigeria doesn't means it also can't be done elsewhere.

Its the Estonian visa application. The Indian visa application won't go beyond the second page. I clicked save and continue but it's stuck on that page. https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/visa/TempFileCapcha.jsp. that's the page and it has refused to go further. I have printed out the relatives details page and the long visa page but the indian visa is whats left.
I didn't use the Indian route, here those that filled the Indian application form will be in a better position to answer.

Thanks. I inserted August 22 as arrival and June 31 2017 as departure but it asked me to input valid date.
Was that in the Indian visa application form or Estonian visa?
In addition, make sure it is written in the right format, i.e 22.08.2016 and 31.07.2017.

Hello house, please can anybody help. In filling the online application pages, the Indian visa application is 13 pages. Where do I get the schengen application pages as well as the TRP application pages? Also, what do I put in as arrival date and departure dates please. Thank you.
Here is the link for the TRP: https://www.politsei.ee/dotAsset/527917.pdf
And for long term visa: http://vm.ee/sites/default/files/article-filefield/pikaajalise_viisa_taotlus.pdf

The arrival and departure dates depends on when you're starting studies and the study period length.

There is something wonderful about Estonia that we are enjoying right now: it is the gradual integration with this wonderful country which to me has great potential. As an African, if you know you are going to be in Estonia for study, don't feel alone, if you need any help that can be rendered to you as you come or to settle down, there is Association of African Students (AASE) already recognized in Estonia (more popular in Tallinn University of Technology) and also represented in other school. Should you have need of any info you can check http://www.aaseesti.com/ then contact the right person. If you will be coming to university of Tartu as an African student you may contact me too... See you in Estonia smiley
That's great smiley
Please, what's your name on facebook?

Does that mean there's no other route aside India?
Yes, there are several other countries that have Estonian embassies besides India. The problem is getting their visa.

I had a conversation with Estonia Representative in Egypt and was directed to Belgium Embassy that they represent Estonia here in Nigeria.

Has anyone tried Belgium route before? Hope their visa is easy to get? Just trying to find another route aside India. India ticket fare is killing for now. I pray things would have come down before February.

Lastly, would it be possible to use Belgium Tourist visa to enter Estonia, after applying for TRP there? Anyone with useful info should share here.
What you need is a Type D/Long term visa, not tourism visa and only an Estonian embassy can issue that. The Belgium route will not work.

grin he should have idea that the country is a very cold place even their summer no be sun wey dey shine for naija. By the way, why are your jackets gathering dust, you didn't get the right one? I know the one for their weather is always thick or is it not? That airline baggage restriction na another gbege on its own.
Summer is very hot here, the sun sometimes dey shine pass Naija grin. And outside there are lots of mosquitoes, just that they are malaria free. About the jackets, most of the ones we have in Nigeria are not just thick enough.

Please, those student who are already in Estonia, how are you guys coping with the language barrier and jobs?
TravelRe: Lets Talk About Estonia by dreamchaser90(m): 6:31pm On Jun 21, 2016
nek12:
I know they have a very cold weather so you will be travelling with Hand gloves, scarf, cardigan, if possible boots
If you're traveling in August or September, the weather won't be cold because it's still summer. Travel with general clothes, shoes, food(don't forget things like egusi, ogbono, garri smiley ) and other essentials. Generally, the winter jacket and gloves we have in Nigeria will not be suitable for their weather (all the winter jacket and gloves I brought to Russia from Nigeria ended up gathering dust grin).
Remember also that every airline has it's baggage size restrictions, so take that into consideration when booking your flight and weigh your baggage at home to avoid paying extra at check in.

Please where did you guys notarized your bachelor degree certificate? I did mine at the ikeja high court and sent to TUT but I received this mail today though I have mailed them about it to be sure it was not sent out of mistake.

The status of your task “Documents must be sent via regular post” has been updated to:
The documents have arrived and are being processed

Kindly send in a notarized copy of your Bachelor’s degree diploma. Please note that only notary certification is accepted.
You should first contact the international department of the university. I had the same issue and when I contacted them, I was informed that the automatic reminder was sent in error. Though mine was UT.

Thanks a lot guys, for all the information and suggestions.

I've got a question to ask, please do not tell me to go back to previous pages....thanks

I noticed on pages 80 and 81 of this thread that a similar question was asked on the requirements for Visa and nairaspace answered with the requirements for indian visa(for those going through india). I would not be going through india

However, the question I want to ask is the requirements for obtaining the Estonian Residence permit and Visa ireespective of the country you applying from. Also, please dont direct me to their police and border guard website, because I saw some documents required which seem unnecessary to me or not for my purpose.

Finally, concerning the insurance contract that seem to be required, how and where could i obtain it and at what cost...
Thanks in anticipation of your polite responses

University of Tartu seems not to be of assistance in obtaining a Residence permit
The documents I submitted for TRP were:
1. Application form for TRP.
2. Data concerning close relatives and family members.
3. Bank statement.
4. Proof of source of funds in my bank account.
5. Copy of health insurance contract.
6. Letter of guarantee (confirming that in case the existing insurance is not valid in Estonia, you will purchase a valid health insurance contract from Estonia).
7. Copy of the data page of my passport and visa.
8. Copy of my old passport (The consul requested for it because my present passport was issued in Moscow).
9. A colour photograph sized 40x50 mm.

As for visa, I think the same documents will suffice in addition to travel insurance (I didn't apply for visa).
For the health insurance, I bought Swisscare Studentpass International Standard for 365 days at EUR 197.1
You can buy it online.

Have you gotten your visa now?
No, I applied for only TRP. I submitted my application in Russia and will be there for more than two months, so there wasn't any need to apply for for both TRP and visa. I'll receive the TRP here and travel with it.

Why not follow what the consul told you..or is worry359 a consular too??
grin grin grin
I said that because it might depend on the consular. Some European embassies do require that you must give an address, even if it's that of the school or a hotel.
