The number of cases have increased today. It is in the light of this that I will urge the FG to impose a forceful and aggressive lockdown for 4weeks.

Nigerians are already used to the lockdown so there is nothing to lose here.

Together we will defeat this virus.

Insha Allah.

RomanceRe: Teenage Boy Flaunts Two Girlfriends, Made Them Kiss Each Other In Public by Dreamliner787(m): 3:46pm On Sep 01, 2020
weIMPORT:
Series of photos making rounds on social media have shown the moment a teenage boy flaunted two ladies alleged to be his girlfriends.

In the photo, the girls could be seen kissing taking turns to kiss the boy giving the insinuation the trio are having a romantic relationship.

The alleged girlfriends who were wearing similar outfits also kissed each other in one of the photos.

However, the photos have created lots of mixed reactions from online users.

Some users find it not only absurd that the young teenager was dating two girls at a time but speculated that the two girls might be related, probably siblings.

Well, as the saying goes: There is nothing new under the sun, especially in this era where young people are not afraid to post anything on the internet just for the purpose of trending. See more

The federal government has warned state governors against the full reopening of schools - Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos state had on Saturday, August 29, announced that all the schools in the state would resume on September 21 - The Nigerian Federal Governemtn has Warned all the states Governors Clamoring for the re-opening of schools not to do so, According to Federal Government, Other countries where in a haste to re-open schools and that action worsens the cases of Corona-virus in that countries, FG used The United States as a case study'

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos state had on Saturday, August 29, announced that all the schools in the state would resume on September 21

Boss Mustapha, the chairman of PTF, however, advised the states to learn from the US experience where reopening of schools escalated the cases of COVID19- Ahead of the proposed resumption of academic activities in Lagos and some other states of the federation, the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19 has called for caution among the stakeholders. The Nation reports that the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) and chairman of the PTF, Boss Mustapha, cited how such haste escalated the COVID-19 management situation in some other countries. npowernews learnt that Mustapha said it would be in the best interest of Nigeria to stick to the pattern proven effective since the national response was launched. “It is in the above context that the PTF appreciates the on-going calls for re-opening of the education sector and indeed some sub-nationals are already making preparations for such. The Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) and chairman of the PTF, Boss Mustapha, during a briefing. “Whilst the PTF does not discourage making such preparations, we need to be guided by experiences from countries such as Germany, France, the United States and the UK where opening of schools in some cities led to an increase in confirmed cases and fatalities.” He further said that more sectors of the economy may soon be reopened, especially as the nation would be entering a new phase of the eased lockdown. Mustapha said the PTF would present its recommendations to President Muhammadu Buhari this week, which will determine the next phase in the national response. He noted that the last three weeks had shown a slowdown in the number of confirmed coronavirus cases in the country, noting that, in the last four months of testing, the lowest daily figure of confirmed cases (138) was reported on Sunday, August 30.  The PTF boss, however, urged caution and vigilance on the declining numbers as he noted that the virus is still potent and very dangerous.

[s]quote author=Temitopemo6e6 post=93445371]Yeah that’s true reopening the university now the country is now open….we Nigerian citizens are too self centered,Kenya stopped all academically sections till next year, those students ain’t human also…the cases of covid 19 on Gahanna student is quite increasing ,Gombe some wave students already have that, now the families is now suffering for it…..why pressuring the government, the wunt
be the one to suffer that never…..,a year of academically missed sections is better than losing a life…… the government should please not use a sentiment over losing a life….beside they was a war in Nigeria that lasted over 3years everything was on stop …..next year of school resumption is not bad….wish the government going to see this[/quote][/s]

You are talking for only your own benefit.

Ababbio:
Osun state government has announced that schools in the state would resume on September 21, 2020, after about 6 months of shutdown, owning to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Commissioner for Information and Civic Orientation, Mrs Funke Egbemode, who made this known in a statement on Monday, said that, at the end of this week’s State Executive Council meeting, the government said while stakeholders are expected to continue to put protocols in place towards the reopening of schools according to the guidelines set by the Federal Ministry of Education, all schools in the State are set to resume in phases with effect from September 21 for an abridged third term of the 2019/2020 academic session.

The statement reads:

“Having conducted an assessment of schools within the State to ascertain the level of preparations for reopening, the government has scheduled schools to resume from the COVID-19 break on September 21st for an abridged third term of the 2019/2020 academic session, which is expected to end on October 30, 2020.

“To make up for lost grounds caused by the COVID-19 induced lockdown, a new academic session (2020/2021 session) is scheduled to commence on November 9, 2020.

“Because of the Yuletide, schools will be expected to take a brief recess from December 24, 2020, to resume on January 4, 2021, for the concluding part of the first term of the new session which is scheduled to end January 22, 2021.

"The resumption date for the second term is set for February 1, and scheduled to end April 9.

“The third term of that session commences on April 26, and runs till July 23”.

The state government further state that the scheduled date of schools resumption only applies to Primary and Secondary school, noting that that Tertiary Institutions are also expected to reopen on September 21, but required to plan their schedules.

The State Government enjoined stakeholders to continue to fine tune their preparations in the coming days towards ensuring a seamless enforcement of the announced schedule.
