Seems Ethiopian Airlines was stingy with their AC. the AC in their plane wasnt so good from US to Nigeria. both planes were boeing 777.

The return leg was boeing 777 to ethiopia and 787 to US. The boeing 787 was kind of small compared to 777 and judging by the wings.

I had my seat changed from window to aisle when coming back to the US. the aisle seat gave me comfort to stress my legs and made my journey kind of stress free.. There was no free Wifi though. My friend that flew Delta/Airfance/KLM was just mocking me. Ethiopian no try at all embarassed

Their airport was cool and damn, they got alot of airplanes.

I passed through 3 securities checks before i got to terminal 2 where i connected my flight. everybody doing their jobs no begging for money..

Nigeria got a long way to go. They are not giant but chicken of africa.

Let me add my own little bit to this topic. Like Twoods said, if you look for racism, you will find it. I live in the Midwest. I really do not care, I go my way, if you start a conversation with me, I respond politely, I have had people ask me where I am from, I am always eager to be asked, i proudly tell them, I am from Nigeria(nothing fit change that) .

My MIL always want me to tag along with her when she is going grocery shopping because In her words “she likes to show off her Nigerian SIL“. What I generally do know is the more they get familiar with you, the more they open up. Everyone knows this, I am and will always be a Nigeria and I will never reject my heritage(naija no good no mean say make person reject).

My watchword has always been be polite, respect people opinions even if you don’t like it(no be your country), don’t break the law.

God be with us and keep us safe.

Hey poster, there’s really no big deal about coming here after getting your visa,I live in Delaware and there’s no intl airport here so I came in through Philadelphia and I wasn’t drilled for anything, got to the Poe,scanned my finger and was taken to a room where my sealed envelope was collected and my passport was stamped, was told to get married within 90 days and that was all.a random Dhs officer met me on my way to the agric section where you have to declare your food and collected my passport and asked me why I was getting married, caught me of guard but we ended up bantering and that was it.im yet to do my aos but I’m married to wifey already.
Plus: Most of those officers especially whites are not that friendly or maybe it’s just where I came in through
I think you quoted the wrong moniker bro. Happy married life and you are right about them officers, they ain’t friendly, expect more of that from people also. Enjoy.

Angela and Michael Why did Ilesanmi’s visa get denied?
A lot of factors go into approving or denying a visa. When the government is deciding whether or not to grant this type of document, the criminal records of both parties are reviewed. As we know, Deem had a DUI last year, but that alone should not have stopped Ilesanmi’s visa from being approved. But, according to Soap Dirt, that was Deem’s second DUI, which might not have looked good to the government.

In addition to checking your criminal background, the applicant must prove that they can support the person coming over on the visa. Because of the number of people living in Deem’s home, her daugther, her grandchildren, Deem’s mother, and Scottie Deem’s children, Deem would need to make between $50,000 and $60,000 to meet the K-1 visa requirement. Deem raking in that kind of cash doesn’t seem very plausible.

In addition to those reasons, Ilesanmi being from Nigeria doesn’t help the situation at all. A visa officer told the outlet that the government is on “high alert” when they receive Nigerian applications because the area is known for fraud. The officer recommended that the two apply for a spousal visa rather than a K-1 visa in order to raise their chances of actually getting Ilesanmi over to the U.S.

So, though Ilesanmi’s visa was denied, all is not lost for the couple. Deem could try to move to Nigeria to be with her beau or they could try and apply for a new visa to bring him to the states.

To those incoming, put the yellow envelope in your backpack because you gotta drop that for the cbp, don’t fret, you already pass the most scrutinized stage. Remember to mention all local foods you carry come(costs $300 if you don’t disclose). If you are coming to Midwest, carry better thick jacket o or else the wind and cold go blow you danu danu grin cheesy cheesy. Have your passport handy. AOS depends on state tho, MN is taking a year but ead comes in quicker. Stay blessed and welcome to America. No vex, that’s all I can remember, maa go snow blow grin grin

Hi, you don’t need another medicals. That 3025 is valid for a year.

I think the perception that Afrians suck up to whites is a skewed one full of misconception and born from the contempt AA have for Whites.

If you ask me Africans are simply acting as they always do towards Whites in and out of the Americas, as they do any other races of people in that they treat them without that preconceived notion of superiority or inferiority.

They do not carry the baggage of racism, jim crow etc as much as AA do.
true this, Most Africans are open to the society. Man, this people wound us i no go lie. People of same race fighting on who is superior. i weak i swear to God.

A topic on Nigeria seems to pop up on
Www.lipstickalley.com almost everyday. This site is an AA forum mainly frequented by AA women.

AAs keep telling themselves that Nigerians think they are superior and this drives the hateful discourse that follows as evident in some AA replies.

Nigerians stand out wherever they go (fortunately and unfortunately) and it is easy for this to be seen as threatening by others. Nigerians are driven to succeed and not to conquer.

The minute AAs stop seeing Nigerians as some form of THREAT, this will become a non-issue.
You are right about the bolded, Nigerians know failure is not an option. The one question i always keep asking myself, if it was the Asians that were sold into slavery as the AA/Africans, will they hate on their fellow Asians who are coming to America? Honestly it is saddening when people of same race cannot stand united.
