I got a single entry visa 2 months ago for a business trip and I've since made the trip and i'm back. The reason it was single entry is apparently i'm still establishing ties to my home country.

I'm thinking of maybe taking a vacay to the US late next year or the year after.

What is the process like if i want to re-apply considering it wouldn't be a business trip? Same hectic process?

House... Don't let anybody deceive you, life in SA is expensive and hard, nobody dey boro person money. I lived in wonderpark estate in Pretoria for 1yr+, and spent almost 1m naira on accommodation . to get job is hard, to get permit is extra hard. Even with d permit to get job is hard only petty biz. Your friends are only interested in your BTA, once you gets there, they fire your BTA for u, they start borrowing and taking you to places to lavish your money. Please just arrange better money and go to Europe or Asia country if u wanna travel. SA is out of it. Life in Jo'burg sucks. The only free tinx or cheap tinx u get in SA is P***y... Cool weather tho. But I won't advise anybody to go there... Waste of time and money if you looking for better place to hustle ... But if you into online tinx, u are good to go. Or if u enter with 1yr visa, u can link urself with guys and start pickup tinx but SA na error

Sorry i should have posted my transcript earlier. I cant exactly remember everything but the major difference between both interviews was that i really put it out there that i have very strong ties and the training/induction i was going for was critical for my career. The VO did'nt have to ask i just put it out there until he decided to ask leading questions based on the info i fed him so i basically controlled how the interview went.

I didn't get a multiple entry visa tho. I got a single entry visa valid for the duration of my training.

VO: What are you going to do in ATL?
Me: Im a FULL TIME EMPLOYEE in (company) the largest ...... in the world. My role as a (role) requires that i learn about the business from the ground up. I've learnt about the local business strategy in Nigeria. i've also learnt about the zonal strategy in (........) and now i'm to go to the US to learn about our global business strategy.


I cant remember exactly how the flow went after but i know i put the fact that i have a daughter and she had been to the US (hoping he would check their database to confirm). I had letters from the global business, zonal and local which he took and kept looking at at intervals. He actually excused himself for about 5 minutes with my letters. Probably to go confirm it somehow??

Told him how much i earned, what my day to day job is like , how i love and enjoy my job and the enourmosity of the opportunity i have in that space.

He eventually told me i'm quiet young and still establishing my ties so he'll give me a single entry visa valid for the duration of my program.

Wrong. You can schedule as many times as you want. I got denied and scheduled another the next week and got my visa.

How have your own personal circumstances changed since your last refusal? That’s what you will need prove and what the VO will assess. Your travel itinerary does not include your daughter so there’s no need to bring her up. The best you can do is try to convince the VO that your conference/induction is important to your career and that your presence is vital

But then the fact that I have a daughter that stays with me shows my ties home doesn't it?
I'm not exactly going to leave her and run away. Lol

So I just got denied a B1/B2 visa under section 214(b) today when all my reasons for being in the US are legit.

I have a company induction to attend in the US fully sponsored by my company in the US and its for August 16. Flights and hotel accommodation is paid for already.

I also have to be in South Africa first week of August so I'm in a big fix.

I want to reapply for an emergency interview like I did for this appointment that got denied. Any pointers as to how to go about reapplying? Nd the earliest date available for an emergency appointment?

I was literally just asked what I'm going for and if I'm married and the next thing was denial..

Sorry about the refusal.
However, the embassy makes it clear one should not incur any expenses before getting a visa.
Truth is, the chances of getting them to change their decision at this point is very low, in my opinion.
I do not believe that they are still issuing visas based on logic, rather on a policy we don't seem to know about.
If your circumstances are the same and the purpose still the same, why would the next vo change the Desicion?
Attend other conferences else where and reapply maybe after the 6 months. That's my take

That's the thing. It's not a conference. It's an induction for the program I'm running and it's crucial for my future in my company. See it like a company training I absolutely have to go to with the total cost paid by the company..

I'll have to re-apply regardless. I didn't even get a chance to show that I have strong ties home. I earn more than enough to not want to leave the country.
