What did I experience?

Before I applied for mine, I was able to upload someone's photo on Friday last week by snapping with my phone (16 + 5 MP camera). I thereafter changed the background to pure white and defined the size (to about 140kb) and dimensions (600px X 600px) using Photoshop in a laptop. The photo uploaded one hand. However when I tried doing same with mine on Sunday, the methods failed. I wore a black T-Shirt, I am dark in complexion but the photo was very clear. It failed. I tried resizing below 40kb, trying different image positions, yet it failed all attempts. I used a ash colored T-Shirt (sorry I suck at colors, I only do white, ash and black and something around that), it failed, I tried with light blue/white check t-shirt, it failed again even after several attempts. I downloaded all suggested mobile software on this thread, it failed their products. I then saw Photoshop Express on Google Play, I downloaded it, I snapped with a red/black t-shirt and off-white background, I cropped the photo with Photoshop Express and specified the dimension as required. I did not edit the background. The photo uploaded with success so faster than I could believe.

My conclusion?

I think the software used in scanning the photos has color blindness and as such must see a very clear defining color (not the ash, black or light blue etc.) in addition to the size and dimensions.

My imperfect opinion it is!

This your experience is a long and stressful one. My off-white background passport just uploaded once without delay after cropping it to my chin.

@O.P, if u go for the Air force (recruit for that matter), just prepare to salute the upcoming NDA guys for a long time. If the course u are been admitted is okay. Go for your degree and when you are done, enrol for Direct short service (as an officeryour promotion will be fast and your pay will be okay).But as for recruit, hmm. When You marry and have a family, you will know that the pay is not worth it (Slow promotion and a salary that will not be enough in our current economic state). Bro, your destiny is different from others. Don't follow the advice that if you go to the university, you might not see job. Where others have failed, you might succeed.

Resize your picture to not more than 200kb. Then crop it to your chin/lower jaw as the length and follow the specifications given on the width. Make sure you use a passport with white or off-white background. Then try uploading it.

I complained to the boss and the lady was summoned.. She said she must not give me a tag.. And the oga advised me to come back tomorrow.. She didn't want to give me tag for no reason.. Does it mean that tag is not essential?

Do you have issues with in credentials? If yes, it might be the reason for her to refuse giving you the tag. Because same thing happened in Lagos (NAF Base, Ikeja). Some people were not issued the tag cos of one issue or the other. Though it was announced that everyone who participated in the screening today (whether given tag or not) should report tomorrow for the physical exercise. Don't know of those disqualified though!
