Get the National Express West Midlands 4 weeks tickets (Adult) for £55 and you would have unlimited travel using National Express buses across towns and cities it covers like Birmingham, Coventry etc.

During my student days when I paid £40 for the 4 weeks tickets, on free days I will just hop into any NX bus and e go carry me go where I no know as I was just sightseeing and would always get a NX bus that would take me back to my home.

Get the ticket, so you can move around effortlessly at little cost.

You must have an Oyster card. Its like the size of a bank card, you can purchase it at a train, bus station or any local shop that has the Oyster card sign at £5. You then top up in any of these locations.

The Oyster card works ONLY in the city of London. A bus ride from one location to another costs £1.65 (that lasts for 1hr) after this time you will be charged another £1.65. If you you are charged for the third time (£1.65). It automatically turns into A DAY PASS, it won't charge you again. That means £4.95/Day

You can as well purchase a week pass £23.75. You can enter bus for a week from any location to another any time 24hrs.

For train, there are 6 zones in London (1-6). Depending on the zones you'll like to travel within and its from as low as £27.91 (2-3 weekly) to over £270 (1-6 monthly). There tickets issued in the train stations for either one way journey, a day pass too.

For outside London it's a bit similar but more expensive

Transport costs will depend on where you are going. If you frequent a particular location in the city, say for work, it might be better to pay for the weekly or monthly ticket. Will save you some money. Or if you have to make several journeys to and fro a particular location just for a day, you can buy a 24hr ticket. Otherwise, you can pay as you enter each bus. Also consider whether you will board 2 different buses to get to work, instead of paying twice each day, your weekly or monthly ticket covers this. Let's do the maths: if for instance, you spend 6 quids each day on bus, and you work for 4 days a week, that's 24 pounds; the weekly ticket might be 20 pounds. So you are saving 4 pounds a week.

For long distant journeys, trains are faster but more expensive. Download coach apps, you can get cheaper prices online than you will get at the office.
