I honestly cannot believe there are people here trying to defend not talking to one's wife for four months, giving excuses that being an international student is difficult. Even world leaders that are tasked with running their countries create time to talk to their wives not talk of an ordinary masters student abroad. Are you saying masters student abroad are so busy that they cannot create 5 minutes a day just to say hello to their wives?

You and your spouse can get up to $8k (max of 4k per person) at official rates from the bank as PTA (nigeria factor go dey, be ready tp bribe somebody, lol). You need to show your visas and passports plus confirmation of accommodation bookings. It's hard but like I said, if you know your way, you will get it lol. $8k should keep you going for a while.

Is PTA not meant for only people with return ticket? Im not even sure if any bank is selling PTA right now.

IMO, country of study should be the country where you attended classes and wrote your exams. You can get other people's opinion too.

Hello everyone, is it possible to send your ielts for remarking and BC Nigeria will not send it to the UK for the remarking to be done? I sent my result for remarking and I did not get a mail from BC in the UK that they have received my EOR.

I just applied for the general thing. I didn't specify any unit. I already did the test and I'm going for interview next week.

Brother, forget about first bank salary and jump at the deloitte offer. Believe me, you won't regret it. I personally would leave a 300k salary to go work for deloitte.
