yes sir i have considered that, well i have visited UI college of medicine and undergradute admissions office for enquiries and they have given.
me a positive go ahead to apply as its a bioscience course.
also the past provost college of health science of my alma matter has also given me the go ahead to apply in uniport

nonetheless i'm still curious so wanted to take advice from you medics who better understands

over the years some universities have accepted botany candidates as a de into mbbs, just hope things havent changed

hello house, mbbs has been my passion since i was a kid, though i just graduated from uniport in the department of plant science and biotechnology and by Gods grace. i made a 1st class honours.
i'm still going back for medical school i am considering doing a DE but dunno which school to apply to as i hardly see candidates with bsc not even 1st class getting admitted into a medical school.

not withstanding any suggestions on schools that may accept me with my degree
i will also try via jamb .

After YEARS of chasing MBBS...

Started 2007 when I did the Basic program at Uniport...I was about seven points short of the cut off...

I proceeded to study Human Physiology...

I wanted to switch at Year 1...but I didn't make up to 4 points....

I moved to Plan C: Get a 2-1 and do DE...

I got a 2-1.....but DE didn't come my way..

I got admission at Georgia after NYSC..I was denied entry..

I got admission at TAU, Guyana...Ebola came on board...West Africans were denied visa.

I got married to my darling babe..

We enrolled for M. Sc programs...(me, Human Physiology, she, Public Health)...

I gave DE another try.....

and...

I'm in!

University of Abuja!

Sincerely, the last time I was this excited was when our son was born...

the average doc in Cuba earns $26 however all other things needed by d doc is handled by d govt. Car, housing etc. U r unaware of d immense sacrifices D Nigerian docs make all in d name of his patients. Up to d extent of donating money n blood for their patients at d same time bearing sidetalks n insults from allied health workers that mk it seem like he is related to the patient or has a personal take in it. Operating on a patient with torchlight n phones when it wld b easier to walk away. Bottom line, d Nigerian doctor gives selfless sacrifice.

To cut the long story short, I finished my programme last year and applied with my first degree to unilorin for MB;BS. God has answered my childhood dream. I have been admitted. If you are not a Medical Doctor, you simply are not one. Shikena. If u are not one of us, you are not one of us. Its as simple as that. I do hope when a patient comes to a Pharmacist with uncontrolled posterior choanal nose bleed and deep laceration to one of the large vessels of the head and neck, the Pharmacy does not deny being a "Dr". Cos Being a real Medical Doctor aint beans.........ask me.
