Are there fathers, husbands and married men here? How do you guys cope? I mean, the family hustle plus medschool?

I remember when I first got notified of my admission. In the first few seconds, I was super-happy. Like, finally! After over ten years, I was finally in. Shortly afterwards, reality hit me. I was to resign from my job! I was to relocate, of course leaving my family behind with about 10-12 hours' distance between us (ie, traveling by land).

I know of one Best. He should be in 500 or 600 level now. I first met him at UniPort, then we were BSc Physiology students. Again, I met him (still at UniPort) some years later when I went back for a master's degree program. As at that time, he was already done with his MSc and was already in the MBBS program. It was the discuss I had with him one day that made me to apply for MBBS again. That was how I got in. Bear in mind that I was working with an NGO at that time and I was also at the verge of securing a lecturing job. These were the things I sacrificed to study Medicine.

I tell you, it's terribly challenging being a medical student and a married man with two boys. It's an intensive, full time program with little to no "hustle space." Today, I'm in the Path-Pharm class and each time I look back, I really wonder how I've managed through to this extent.

So, colleagues, I'm curious to know the strategy of other folks in similar shoes.

pls I'm a 2013 awardee. I have always been reimbursed, but I've never been able to access my account coz I lost my award letter. I went to the bank recently but they requested for the award letter before they'll grant me access to the account (that's been accumulating since 2013). I don't have the award letter but I have all other evidence (all the emails sent to me by AGBAMI/GRAGNET) that I'm the owner of the account.
Pls can anyone help me with what to do. I will surely appreciate u!

I just graduated.
I am finally a medical doctor....i'm so happy. Wanted to thank this forum for giving me the motivation I needed.

I dont need journalists to tell me what already is. Same way cramming books and killing people is not a job for everyone. Its easier to believe the journalists in this case. BTW you must be a doctor

Ambode has no idea how important he already is to the people of Lagos.. Trust me, if I was him, I wouldn't be that scared, if at all. Becos the real voters would prefer him over some imposed candidate as they've known and seen what he is made of and can do. There is no two way about that.. Come Friday, if he loses the primary. All he needs do immediately is join the fcking PDP and APC will be doomed.

He doesn't need to campaign much anymore. The real lagosians have seen his works in every part so all he need to do is never give up. And there will be so much possibility that both Tinubu and his so called loyalists will end up regretting why they rejected him. I know the reason they rejected him in the first place is so meaningless and insignificant and unrelated to the actual growth and development of Lagos state so FCK APC.


Ambode has done nothing but led the way his instincts and morals have taught him. Too bad he isn't the type to line up people's pockets with govt money.

It won't change the fact that most doctors are unnecessarily rude, disrespectful, proud, and unkind. They let their setbacks turn them into sadists. I haven't met a cheerful doctor.

When someone like HopefulLandlord sees something he doesn't understand or can't explain he asks questions from people who know or researches the phenomena

when someone like Drguzzykola sees something he doesn't understand he quickly assumes its juju. since he surrounds himself with people who think like him they reinforce the juju belief with him in a loop


If HopefulLandlord and Drguzzykola were in deep jungles of Africa and haven't seen civilisations before. then some pink skinned guys bring 2 small plastic thing that shines light and they say each of these 2 plastic things can be used to communicate with the other from miles away. they prove this to us and leave us without explaining the way its made.
HopefulLandlord would say "I have no idea how they did what they did with a simple plastic thing with buttons but I hope to lay my hands on it one day so I can learn more about it

Drguzzykola however would go " These guys used juju! There's some juju inside those plastic thing with buttons which enables it to do those things "

Have you heard about cut and bounce (okigbe)? my experience back then in secondary school make me believe there's juju since I was one of those that usually confirm the originality of this cut and bounce juju by using a very sharp cutlass to cut someone on his arms in the presence of my fellow students, this juju became rampant back then but in a bid to disprove this juju I made myself the person to do the cutting,in fact they always call me from other class to test it cuz it seems most people are afraid of using cutlass on someone,I don't even know why I'm not afraid back then and I usually use all my power to cut but to my surprise I wasn't able to cut any single person, the close I got to was leaving only a slight mark on the hand,so if this is not juju then I'll like to know the scientific explanation for it

He was standing on a rope, I watched the video and I saw him climbing down from that rope. Next time, learn to reason things before being absorbed in unnecessary mysteries which simple thinking can resolve
