Friend, look out for politically informed and intelligent members on this forum. Get a worthwhile topic for a thread like A thread for Nigerian youths on Nigerian Politics, Nigerian youths thread for leadership confab or any other good topic.

Then tag people who are politically informed and sound in their submissions on different topics. I know of Mynd, Barcanista, Seun, urnaijadotcom, and immortal crown.
I appreciate your response in if you don't mind, kindly create the thread when you are less busy, since you may be a better writer than my self and tag me and I would respond to the call of duty. It's definitely time.

Politics › 2019 Should The Nigerian Youths Continue To Watch From The Social Media? by driand(op): 1:42pm On Apr 10, 2015
2015 is on course and the battle for power would soon won and lost, when the smoke have risen and amber die what would be left of the Nigerian youths who have been battling it out on the social media and have even earned titles on the social media(e-worriors)

now someone please tell me should we continue to watch these old men take on Rollercoaster rides?

what happened to the part where we are supposed to be the leaders of tomorrow? or is tomorrow not here yet?

There are questions that need serious and urgent answers but the youths should start answering those questions now, or we wait and continue to watch from the side lines till we have a nation that has been looted and drained of its God given wealth,

My humble proposal is we take power by the ballot come 2019

Let's meet here and discuss the possibility.

Politics › Re: Governor Okorocha Dressed As A Secondary School Student by driand(m): 1:15pm On Apr 10, 2015
Hidentity:
Without prejudice to Governor Okorocha, a picture like this reminds me of the difference between what people see you as and what you are deep inside. I wish that Nigerian politicians could actually come to the level of the common men even when these people are not there to speak for their interest.

The truth is that the friendship between our leaders and those of us being led is almost always temporal- election time. Now, the strange thing is that as commoners, we tend to forget so fast how we cannot even slow down in the front of the government house, how the bags of rice they share only come once in 4 years, how they would pose with a petty trader to show their humble disposition only during election period. After that, the hustle, tussle and struggle begin afresh... Many hidden prospects under tattered shirts.

It is high time we asked the questions that are of the essence to our lives. When I think about the polity, the first set of people that comes to my mind is those in my constituency- the Nigerian youths. I read about how someone became a Nigerian minister before the age of 25 yesterday. Today, what do we have? A mere lip appraisal of the importance of youths in nation building.

Think about this- they would rather approach our old parents in the markets to campaign than approach universities to address us. Yet, the policies would affect us the most. Strange enough, the same youths they ignore would troop out to cast their votes for them, unleash mayhem in their support and attack others for their sake.

Truth be told, I have observed that there is a shift in the efficiency and effectiveness of our ideas and intelligence as youths. The polity has altered our reasoning skills that we no longer pay attention to the things that matter. We are busy with more important this like the match between Manchester United and Arsenal, the bet on Lionel Messi and Ronaldo. While following Amber Rose on twitter, we did not know when our welfare was 'unfollowed' by our leaders. We are busy with the latest music videos and the trending nude picture of another person. We are not interested in the matches that affect our lives the most- the match of the polity and how it is managed. From the leaders of tomorrow, we are negligently and dangerously becoming the former leaders of tomorrow. Now I ask, can a bad society birth good individuals?

Check online outfits like this, comments and topics that attract people the most are almost always worthless and of no value. Unemployment, poverty, insecurity, illiteracy and other anomalies hit our constituency the most, yet we won't just GROW up. What will be will be, but if that is to be, it is up to YOU.
well said and I concur to everything you said but something has to be done and what ever it is can start from here(nairaland). now how do you think the youths can actually be the leaders of tomorrow when there has not been a strong platform bringing the youths together? I suggest and propose as dangerous as it may sound, but I dare say it that the youths take over the federal government come 2019. It has never happened anywhere in the world but I know that it can be a great success in Nigeria if we start from nairaland and start it now, we have 4 years to put together whatever it would take us, I'm not a politician nor a good writer but with the combined efforts of of the youths of this country the project would be a huge success, who ever is in support should click share for this message to circulate.

I doubt you are an Igbo man but if you are tthen you have became a tout, if apc is in fg doesnt mean everywhere everywhere should be apc with littttle or opposition think
I am an igbo but if you choose to call me a tout that is unfair, but I want you to know that apc has performed better in Lagos than the pdp in many other states, . Opposition is good for governance but still we want the government that has performed and will perform better with the support of of the FG.

can u listen to yourself, vote on the basis of APC at the centre, rather on the credibility of the candidate, Nigerian can no longer be fooled
voting on basis of credibility ambode seems a better choice since he has been in the government system for quite a long-term, voting on the basis of party credibility apc seem better than pdp, Lagos state is a witness to that and we've all seen how the pdp ran the affairs of the country since the past 16 years.

sinkhole:
Christianity and Islam are two religions terrorizing the world. Most things in the Quran are just modifications of those found in the Bible (or if you like Torah). Many Christians will justify some evils of old testament (Torah) by saying that that was why new testament was brought, but when they want to perpetrate evil or swindle people of their earnings they revert to old testamen!
you may be correct about the bolded but the teaching of christ in the new testament should be the standard of life for every Christian.

MKO4ever:
Can you explain these-

And Jesus said, "For judgement I have come into this world." (John 9:39)
"I came not to judge the world" (John 12:47)

"But God said to him, 'You fool!' " (Jesus) Luke 12:20

"Leave alive nothing that breathes. Show them no mercy." [Deut. 7:2]

"Now kill all the boys. And kill every woman who has slept with a man, but save for yourself every girl who has never slept with a man." (Numbers 31:17-18)

"The Lord commands: "... slay old men outright, young men and maidens, little children and women" (Ezechial 9:4-6)

"You will eat the fruit of the womb, the flesh of the sons and daughters the Lord your God has given you." (Deuteronomy 28:53)

"... Go and smite the inhabitants of Jabesh-gilead with the edge of the sword and; also the women and little ones.... every male and every woman that has lain with a male you shall utterly destroy." (Judges 21:10-12)

"The people of Samaria must bear their guilt, because they have rebelled against their God. They will fall by the sword; their little ones will be dashed to the ground, their women with child ripped open." (Hosea 13:16)

Isaiah 45:7
I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.

Jesus create evil?

Exodus 32:14
And the LORD repented of the evil which he thought to do unto his people.
I am a born Christian and I will never leave the faith but u must also understand that that was the reason God sent christ into the world because people were perishing, to reconcile all with God, and more reason why Christians only use old testament for reference and we try to leave by the teachings and the standard of christ, which is mercy the teachings of Moses and the prophets be for christ was justice that is an eye for an eye which is still the teachings of Islam justice now when we are born again in christ we leave by his examples and that is what makes us the children of God MERCY.

Interesting but even as an igbo man here I know agbaje and Co are trying to capitalize on the big mouth of the the monarch, but in my opinion people should ignore the old man and vote ambode in Lagos for continuity in the governance of Lagos, now that Lagos has a chance to work together with the FG.
