This is the biggest piece of bullsh!t i ever read dumped on Nairaland.
The writing is elementary, devoid of facts and does not hide the OPs bias. And it is easy to see that the writer is a paid publicist (who just did a bad job). Also, there is nothing in this essay to show this 'Biggest Change' Sanwo Olu, or anything that shows he will be a better governor than Ambode or Agbaje. What we see is just juvenile lofty praises, speaking of what he wore, 'he took a sit' (I expected him to kneel down) and he 'looks like efiko'... whats that?
OP is this what you were paid for? What about his plans? Policies? New strategies for Lagos? Job creation, education, waste management, Tax relief, plans for SMEs, infrastructure, public health? What about all that? Wouldn't conversations on that be a better PR for him? What was the substance of your conversation with him, or was there nothing smart discussed? You reeled out Sanwo Olu's Resume, but silent about Agbaje's pedigree. You say Agbaje disappears and is usually silent, but who heard of Sanwo Olu before now? Did you reach out to Jimi Agbaje for a meeting as well? You say Sanwo Olu can speak English well, I didn't know Jimi Agbaje spoke Spanish. You claimed you wanted to moderate a debate between both Agbaje and Sanwo Olu, but you are obviously biased.
So you come up here, set up a profile and dump a lengthy piece of sh!t that does not live up to the catchy title, and you think Nairaland is the right place to dump your pedestrian pseudo-Journalism? What, you think Nairaland is for fools who cant see through trash?
This is awful!
You need to pay Sanwo Olu his change, because you haven't done your job. |

These new Generation kings are bent on bastardising and watering down the respect, and dignity of the throne. At least, Southwest kings. They don't understand what kingship is all about and the respect and sanctity of monarchy. They dont know how a king is expected to behave, carry himself and talk. The wisdom expected of a king.
But these young slay-kings in the southwest are so shallow and watered down, acting like mere celebrities and undeserving of any respect. And that worries me, because it gets worse until the throne has little more respect than a local government councillor.
Chanel chin? King on instagram? Shame. |

Economic development, mba. Infrastructure development, not so. Fight corruption and nepotism, he refused. End incessant killings, rara. Employment, babu. Etc

Kabaka100: 00978th Looks nice but people don't be deceived. Ask urselves, how much of this installation was done and produced by indigenous companies. Probably nothing in this project was handled by a naija company. So, guess how much foreign reserve of Lagos state is going out to foreign companies and guess how would have been saved if an indigenous had the know was a major part of this project, probably this installation would have cost Lagos state 2times less than the cost of handling this project. So consider overall effect who did this project, though it makes Lagos look more modern, but can most other states in naija afford to install this system too, the answer is no because they can't afford it like Lagos state. Imagine if our universities have a strong financial budget for research and development which can hyperdrive our own tech advancement to make and save or lots of money, so I wonder why a country like naija with enough human and intellectual resources will always need oyinbos and the chinese companies for any major hi-tech project that we embark on.
For now, na follow follow we dey do and most of us don't even realise how stupid our govt keep us behind by always relying on foreign hands do major project like this one because these politicians make lots of money from giving out these majoe contracts to foreign companies. Another way to look at it. Probably some Lebanese guys are smiling to the bank now, after convincing and bribing lagos state govt to instal a useless infrastructure. Valid points raised here. God bless you. |

I don't understand how this can help congestion. It shows information that is not relevant or necessary. Telling you the estimated traffic period is useless. Also it is almost impossible to tell real time traffic on Lagos roads since congestion can start at any time especially on that sensitive Ikorodu road. Also video shots cannot capture every traffic flash point, as congestion can start anywhere. This is just another washwash money siphoning scheme by lagos state and it's contractors. Like the beautification project under fashola. You want to deal with traffic? fix bad roads, control the nuisance of yellow buses, remove heavy duty trucks that park anyhow on the roads, and we will know you mean business. Anything else na washwash. |
