Iamzik: Learn how to drive home your point without name calling. It is a very important pointer to your level of civility. My moniker tells you absolutely nothing about my tribe or ethnicity. I have had the opportunity to live in every part of Nigeria so I might not be confined to your own tribal/ideological prism
Back to the point. Supreme court know that it has no power to order CBN around. I hope you have read the judgement. CBN is not synonymous with federal government and banks cannot obey supreme court order without instruction from CBN. We are in a new week. I advise you to wait for CBN to make issue a statement on the next line of action.
Calling me a terrorist might help you sleep better tonight but it doesn't change the facts of this matter. Your bank will maintain status quo until they hear from CBN.
Have a good day truth be told my civility status isn't advanced. And you're a bloodstained hypocrite asking me to not call you names. If your moniker doesn't make you an Igbo despite your "Zik" clue, how then does the fact that I met you here digitally predisposes you to assume I don't have enough money for CBN to confiscate? Hypocrites like you throw veiled insults and pretend to be shocked when you receive a direct one. Back to the matter....CBN is an agent of the Federal government and that Naira redesign policy was approved by FG so the ruling is binding on both parties. And don't talk like a fool please, the federal government challenged the jurisdiction of the SC to hear the matter and it failed. You're like buhari and every other thick headed idiot who ascends to power and disobey court rulings. Supreme court ruling is final and exhausted. You don't sit on your dusty chair and type your emotional wishes to change the judgement of the highest court in the land. https://www.nairaland.com/7597812/malami-cant-advice-monetary-policyAnd not even the federal government dare be bold to take the stand you are assuming. Bozo! |

Iamzik: Lol
Sorry I'm not Igbo and this is the mistake you people keep making. Once someone opinion is different from yours you quickly call them Igbo lol
CBN cannot confiscate your money and I'm not sure that you have the type of money that qualifies for confiscation anyways.
Also CBN has the constitutional power to determine your daily withdrawal limit through circulars to commercial banks. If you have friends and family abroad, ask them wether there is a limit on cash withdrawal/transfer or not. " I'm not sure that you have the type of money that qualifies for confiscation anyways." lolz, your lame attempt at put down is as harmless as a Christmas laugh. The CBN has confiscated all 40 million bankable Nigerians the very minute they took our old notes and didn't remit the direct equivalent and then mandated us to 2k over-the-counter withdrawals. The daily limit approved by the constitution isn't the limit the CBN is enforcing during the Naira redesign policy. You need to be updated. Also your name has a Zik in it and your views aligns with 90% of the views of South Easterners so anyone will be excused for liking you to be Igbo. Lastly For you to sit here and advise the CBN to disobey the rulings of the highest court of the land, shows how much a terrorist you are. |
Business › Re: Naira Policy: CBN Awaits Legal Advice On Supreme Court Ruling by DriveByKiller: 12:15pm On Mar 04, 2023 |
Iamzik: An impractical supreme court order is not final sir. CBN has the final say as far as banking supervision and monetary policy.
Supreme court has just made a mess of itself lolz. Yes the bank doesn't have right to confiscate my money and limit me to my own legitimately earned money or tell me how to use it. It's purely illegal. And you must be Igbo. |

Yamiriflathead:
Although disappointing Tinubu tried to hold Lagos with the figures he pulled so far. Lagos is the Capital of Southern Nigeria, so what were you expecting? This was a fight between ibos+SS+woke yorubas against Tinubu supporters in Lagos who are mainly yorubas and maybe Hausas in Lagos.
I hope Tinubu and yorubas have learnt a bitter lesson from Lagos Elections not to befriend and feed a cub because it is hopeless and dying. It will grow up and eat u up someday.
I'm happy yorubas can now sit down and ask qtns as to how they got everything wrong and redress it with BAT as President.
The take home from this defeat is..
Yorubas need to stop drafting non yorubas into the civil service and stop giving them prominent appointments. There are always technocrats who can always fit into any political office from the SW
Yorubas need to stop selling their lands to non yorubas in Lagos
Yorubas need to stop giving out local government of origins to non yorubas in Lagos
Yorubas need to stop allowing non-yorubas contest for Elections in Lagos or SW
Yorubas need limit the numbers of voters registration of non yorubas going on in Lagos, they care so much about Lagos and don't care if their homes rot, Henceforth let them go home and vote. They can't come and dictate to you on how to govern urselves after creating an enabling environment for them to thrive.
Congratulations to the incoming President of Nigeria BAT the ASIWAJU of Lagos nothwitstanding OSU , they fed nobody. Lagos is what it is today because of Nigerians and not yorubas and there's nothing yorubas can do about it |

LexngtonSteele:

These elections were the most Free and Fair in history of Nigeria.
1. Tinubu was targeted with cash shortage and fuel scarcity. So people were angry with APC
2. Military tanks were deployed to Lagos. So no evidence of ballot snatching.
3. If there was rigging ... Will Tinubu permit Obi to win his LGA. In fact despite seeing a lot of rigging by Labour Party, everyone looked the other way
4. We heard "Fear North" and how North will treat Tinubu's "fuckups" and they did
Let us be factual... Tinubu won these elections free and fair.

YungMillionaire: 25% is not the issue (both Tinubu and Atiku have 25% of 24 already). So far, in the North, Tinubu has matched Atiku very closely. Atiku is running out of states. North Central, the best Atiku can get is to cancel out Tinubu (but with Kwara, Tinubu can actually edge him out signifantly + ~ 200K or). And the margins in the SS and SE are not that much because of Peter Obi. And Tinubu is doing well (surprisingly in some SS/SE states).
Again, where is Atiku's catch up coming from? This is a sincere question. Show me how he catches up. which SE state is Tinubu doing surprisingly well. |
