Sanusi says if the Buhari administration toes the
way of the last administration, it will end up like
it.

The Emir of Kano, Lamido Sanusi II, has warned
President Muhammadu Buhari that his
administration may end like the Jonathan
administration if it fails to retrace its footsteps

According to NAN, Sanusi gave the warning on
Wednesday, August 24, while delivering a lecture
at the ongoing 15th meetings of the joint
planning board and national council on
development planning in Kano, titled ‘ Nigeria in
search of new growth model’.
The former CBN governor said the issue of
terrorism currently facing the country is a result
of the government’s inability to create
employment opportunities for the over 80 million
youths in the country.

Sanusi lamented that the country has not been
able to attract investments.
He said the example of Lagos state typifies what
Nigeria can achieve.

The emir said: “There is nothing we are facing
today that we did not know would happen. We
made mistakes, many of them deliberate. We
ignored every single warning.

”We should not continue to blame the previous
administration, as we have also made some
mistakes in the current administration.
“We must retrace our steps; otherwise we may
fall into the same trap we fell the last time when
the government was always right.
“The bottom line is that if your policy is wrong,
it is you that must change.”
“If we do not expand the economy through wise
investment, we can end up in classical
Malthusian situation.”


Meanwhile, former president Olusegun Obasanjo
has denied media reports claiming he and a few
Nigerians brought President Muhammadu Buhari
to power.
According to him, no individual or group
including himself can lay claim to bringing to
power.
The former president made this known in
Jalingo, Taraba state capital, on Tuesday,
August 23, when he paid a courtesy visit to
Governor Darius Ishaku.

Nairaland is one funny place where people come to read latest happenings and to cool off. The most interesting part on the forum are the comments, where you get to read other peoples view on a particular matter and either respond or contribute. Now, the juicy parts of the comments are the hilarious ones, some of the comments are so funny, you can even crack a rib while laughing.
