My interview today was easy going and smooth. Awaiting AM mail.

It's was quite an experience for me. I saw the Paulinus doing his work diligently. I thank God he didn't shout or send me back to the end of the queue.

I was interviewed by a young pretty dark lady. She asked the usual questions like:
Why Germany
Why not UK and US
Why the course
Facts about Germany
And questions about my bsc project

I expected more questions after the interview because it didn't feel like she asked up to 10 questions.

In all I give God all the glory and thanks.
Wishing everyone else AM mails and easy going interview sessions.

Who has booked interview appointment this week.

I booked last night around 2am with the mail method and got response from the embassy at 7.40am today.

My appointment was fixed at 20th of February.

I funded via the black market (i.e opening a domiciliary account, having the black market guys pay into my account then I transfer to my blocked account) I got it done at 412 per Euro. Hope this helps.

I believe I answered that, you'll get banks willing to fund you via form à, however, it'll be at the Black market rate since it's not going to a SCHOOL'S ACCOUNT.

Please anyone posting any information on bank rate should make it very clear. Whether the bank is willing to fund a German BA using the CBN rate. I doubt if it can be done coz all banks are authorize to use that rate only for school fees and medical fees.

@Mystique20 have you funded? If yes, what rate were you given?

Yes, À great TOEFL score, cgpa and waec can get you into a top German school but mind you those schools are very selective and competitive. They recieve thousands of applications from around the world. So it will be tough getting admitted in one of them.

All German schools are rated the same, Germany have a very high standard level of education which is evident in all her states. The universities you see as top schools are just schools made popular by the city or state or the number of international students that studied there. That doesn't mean the other ones are not good. I stand to be corrected

So change your mindset and try less popular universities and the ones in smaller cities. You will definitely be awarded with offers.

Always check the school requirements and compare them with what you hv. Like the required cgpa, if a letter from school can suffice without TOEFL etc.

Now I have gotten admission from the first school I applied to for summer.

I didn't spend up 50k. And the whole process didn't take me more than a week.

Why don't you do it yourself. I was charged above that for mine from a trusted agency PFL last year October ending but I didnt use them. See what I did.

At first the whole German student application seems like a rocket science until I decided to calm myself and read.

I read a couple of pages on the forum and started a trial application for summer semester while my aim was for winter 2019.

So dear electriboy just key in ur course of study on daad website. The requirements for each program is written clearly there and the applications are very straight forward.

If you need assistance you can always ask relevant questions here.

Bros which zenith bank in which state. I don't mind travelling oh to use them.

And hope they accept using form A to fund BA?

I doubt you'd find any.
The fund isn't going to a SCHOOL account, it's going to your personal account, so they can't charge you at the CBN rate and the transaction will not be treated as a student transaction. They'd source for funds from the black market, hence the black market rate.

When I applied for mine, took them a long time before I was actually told that the amount to be transferred isn't large enough, that's why it was taking too long to source for it. I was later advised to open a domiciliary account, have the black market guys pay in the euro, while I pay them the naira equivalent then do the transfer from my domiciliary account to the blocked account.

Thank you for the info but I read on the forum that people using form A to fund.

Please anyone with info on a bank that uses the cbn rate which is between 347 to 360 naira per euro for funding of block account should drop the info here.

Your info will be much appreciated and will really cut the funding expenses.

I experienced same thing. Zenith told me #352/euro in Benin. Go to their HQ to confirm, I was surprised. Tho a friend of mine who works there said they get majority of the forex released by CBN into the country.

I went to make enquiry about form A in 2 banks,zenith and first bank today.suprisingly, zenith bank said form A exchange rate is 347 per euro while first bank said 407.both banks are located in Ikeja......I thought form A rate were equal

Yes oh I saw the post too. One said a zenith bank in Ikeja offer the rate of 347 naira per euro. While the other person confirmed it and said a zenith bank branch in Benin sells at the rate 352.

1. Yes, u can fund ur blocked account with form A.
2. Visit any branch of Diamond Bank u know. If u ar in Owerri, visit the branch at MCC road.

I have queries about funding the block account.

1. Can you really fund your block account via form A? I thought form A is strictly for those paying school fees directly to the university.

2. If it's possible to fund with form A. Please I need info like the bank that the person used and the branch.

Please someone should attend to my queries it is urgent. I need to fund my BA.

Please house if someone need a SL must the person be residing in the state in which your school is located or anywhere in Germany. Eg I want to apply at Dortmund must the SL come from someone living in Dortmund.

Finally got an offer today from the University of Greifswald to study Masters in earth sciences this summer. Now i can confidently proceed with the block account opening and booking appointment for interview.

Please I will need inputs from university of greifswald scholars on cost of living and job opportunities in the area.

Has anyone that applied to the university of Wuppertal for summer semester gotten feedback?

I recently applied via uniassist into the University of wuppertal, despite having a 2:1 ,I was told my credential didn't meet up with the standard "Since your credentials do not meet the general
standard, we have to contact the Central Office for Foreign Education (Zentralstelle für
ausländisches Bildungswesen - ZaB). The guidelines for university entrance qualification
in Germany are set by this authority. We will inform you about the result of our enquiry as

I really need help on what to do

When did you apply? What your undergrad course? And what's ur intended course of study? Coz my friend applied since November and got response that her application has been sent to the university. She is a graduate of business administration with a 2.1 and she applied for international economics and policy. She is still waiting for the university decison.

I submitted two financial support letters. One from nddc and the other one from my maternal uncle.

I doubt they will deny to sponsor me.

I pray the GCMS notes will clearly show the financial support letter that the VO was referring to.

I notice this was ur 2nd or 3rd delay,if this is your dream,don't give up on it but do something relatively new to what you have been doing before.
