lol! Show me a regret letter with error , please.

The error there, is the mail sent to candidates is not a regret mail rather is an "auto reply(by computer robots, not HR Personnel)." If it's a regret mail, it should contain clause like "... regret to inform you..." Moreover, the person above us, also stated that Shell replied her/him an "Apology" due to error of application withdrawn(a mail sent to notify her/his HR status), to show you that was an auto reply which in this scenario you may refer to as an "error." NB: Don't quote again cos I won't reply.

I got a mail from shell that I have withdrawn my application and when I checked my HR status, it stated same thing.
The funny thing is that I submitted my assessment and they said they didn't get it. They would have just honourably said they aren't shortlisting me than lying na.

Which roles did u apply for? When did u apply? When did u complete ur stage 1? One of these questions is the reason for shell application withdraw..

One thing I also observed during this recruitment is that Nigeria if not the 1st, is the 2nd to undertake this "new Shell GTP," globally. So, lets keep hoping for the best cos winners never quit! I didn't mean you should keep your eggs in 1 basket, you know what I mean. Winks!

@DonDraper, Sir any good news from ShellNigeria? We are curious, wanting to make a future @Shell(#LetsMakeAFuture) by developing new ways to meeting energy challenges facing Shell and beyond. Though, gotten the mere "love letter" as said here. But, I can't wait to be part of that team(Royal Dutch Shell's).

The funniest part is that I applied with HND(a Graduate Program equivalent to B.SC/B.Eng in Nigeria). With an UpCr(2:1 equivalent 4rm a known Nigerian Polytechnic. Mehn, 4 dat Poly U go beg Lecturer 2 award U ZERO, de intelligent ones are kept in UpCr-LwCr levels, 4 nt sortin abi na soughtin ni?). Graduated in 2014 & Served 15/16(year bracket 4 dis yr's Shell Nigeria GTP). Am 26 > 27 yrs old(age limit if applicable). Applied 4 the most central role @Shell /Production Engineer/ (studied Mechanical Engineering not mechanical technology 4 de hype pple) showcasing the word "Engineer." But, why I come dey speak as if I no sabi English again, 4 dat on-demand video(because of my unfamiliarity with lastest softwares)? Make I tell Shell now, with all integrity, honesty in me & respectful as I am, if una miss me, na "Beta Pesin" una miss so!(pls oo, my words wasn't meant 2 second-guess, abi na 2 benchmark shell nor una pple oo!) Nevertheless, God's Grace we dey pray for. Iseee...!!!

Search on google "shell graduate program login," click on the shell website with .ng, as it pops up. Then it will direct u to ur shell GTP login, log in ur details, u will then see ur HR Status. Hope, it helps.

It sounds funny, right? But that's faith in action. Hope u watched the on-demand video & carefully listened to "Deane" during her summary on the hirvue app? That in a later time, their graduate recruitment team will review ur application. She meant humans & not robots. When robots? Just like the report u got a day or two after ur working style assessment. But, below ur report u will see a clause like " we at shell hope ..." Does it mean that shell human recruiters sent u that report immediately? That's robot evaluation & not human's.

I still maintain my ground that the love letter one got, is an auto mail(computer robot). I believe the real "Regret Mail" should contain the clause "... regret to inform you..." Noticed, shell updated that if one does not meet the requirement, such person would be "REGRETTED." The keyword contained in shell regret mail should be "regret."

The question is, why would the guy lie? To get what?

Oga, we are not fault-finders rather we are "smart people." we don't absorb any comments we see just to draw attention. We just identified an error which the user needs to convince us of such. If you think we lied, @galaseller should screenshot the progress mail he got from shell. Besides, this is a digital world. We're/I'm not doubting his competence but he should atleast convince us with a screenshot.

Congrats bro. But come to think of it, Business Development and IT Technical were not among the roles listed on the Shell GTP advert. There are 8 roles listed which the aforementioned are not there. Just my observation, though.

He graduated from Imperial College, UK ranked top 10 university in the world.

He also had both MSc degree and Diploma of the Imperial College with distinction.

It is very easy to get job in oil and gas company in d UK. I came back home to give back to the country but Nigeria is hell with no job. I hope he too apply for PhD scholarship in top countries. With his profile, he should get.

Thanks for letting me know, Sir. But, you guys are lucky to study abroad where your qualifications will be given to you unlike here, it's something else. If I were you, I wouldn't have bothered coming back to "Nigeria." Seeing the way things are.

I really hope you are joking. That will be the only category in which this your "analysis" will make some sense. Shell vs Shell Nigeria. "Shell" will reject, then "Shell Nigeria" will say "Don't mind those guys jare, they don't know how we roll! Everybody oya come back... ". Then "Shell Port Harcourt" will say, in fact, from now henceforth, no more assessments! That's how we roll in Ph city!! Abi? This is good comic relief, I hope you mentioned that as one of your strengths. As for the 10,000 vacant positions, I still doubt that number. Do you know what is 10,000? That's over a thousand per advertised position. To put it in perspective, the entire staff of Weatherford International or Baker Hughes in Port Harcourt isn't up to 1000.

The mail is genuine and all the assessments we did were from shell.

I just don't want to believe shell is failing everybody so that their own chosen candidates will be the one to pass this assessments. It's worrisome when you know 10 persons that applied and 9 have got their love letters

They r aware but they knw dat we have to pass thru dat stage then they will assess it themselves. We r getin such mails because is thru shell ovaraw website. Didnt u notice dat wen u search 4 graduate trainee on their search job tools, only commercial interface job, pops up for nigeria? U wont get dat applicatn on www.shell.com/careers rather on www.shell.com.ng/careers u will see it. And the title was named "employment opportunities(i.e 10000 vacant positions) 2017- nigeria." Be smart, u guys should be calm, watch till 2 weeks time & see my predictns unfold.

There are 10000 positions in shell Nigeria. We did the assessment cos it's their procedures by royal Dutch shell but Nigeria has their own way of recruiting.
