This is one of the most ill conceived and unintelligent write-up anybody has ever posted on this forum. Blaming the woes of Nigeria on a single tribe predominantly in the SW and scattered across some parts of the SS and the MB shows that the writer had a shallow mind and lacks a good grasp of the realities of the past (history)and the present. I will not be entirely surprised if the writer is of Igbotic extraction. That is their trade mark. Blame everybody else while they remain saints.
Democracy in Nigeria did not start with GEJ. It preceeds his maladministration. Infact, it started with the likes of Zik, Awolowo and others that I eill not bother to mention. If your narrow mind will allow, kindly know that the foundation for the Hausa/Fulani hegemony on the rest of the peoples of Nigeria was laid by an Igbo man in the person of Nnamdi Azikiwe. The foundation of thr political antagonisms between the Yorubas and the undiplomatic, arrogant and politically unwise Igbos was established from the treachery of Zik. Igbos preferred politically to align with the North and that has always been their stance until the North showed them that the lion you pamper today will eventually rip you apart.

Their quest for political, economic and military domination made the Igbos, under the leadership of Zik to distance themselves from the Yorubas who they consider as a threat due to their education, exposure, wisdom and progressive attitude, while they aligned with the Fulanis(against Awolowo) because they felt that they, the Fulanis, where ignorant illiterates who could be easily manipulated, cheated and dominated. Until they learned the hard way that Fulanis, under the tutelage of Britain also had a plan.

Fast forward to GEJ's administration, Yorubas firstly installed Jonathan as VP, ensured that he took over from the late Yaradua to end the latter's 4yr tenure and also installed him as president by voting massively for him. The SE meanwhile did nothing. The moment he got sworn in, they swooped down and derailed the gullible GEJ into investing heavily on the North and SE while they encouraged him to chomp down on the fingers that fed him and to drown those that taught him how to swim. The result? The Yorubas kicked him out, thus starting the idiotic blame game the SE is known for, especially for certain mooks on this forum and most importantly the dingbat I am quoting. Buhari deceived everybody and advanced the Fulani agenda using his office and power. Yorubas are humans too. Its only supernatural beings that can read minds and know the future. GEJ had his shot and he blew it. Deal with that.

Speaking of poverty, it is something that preceeds the very beginning of democracy in this country. And it is a national thing. It is everywhere but predominantly in the North were education had heen down played for decades. Lagos, indeed the SW, does not need Igbos to survive, so the earlier you snap out of your mkpuru(or whatever) induced reverie, the better. The SE and the SS also have extreme poverty. The evil culture of harvesting human organs and body parts is not exclusive to any region, creed or tribe. Igbos not only do ritual murders, they also have a culture of cannibalism. There are markets in the SE and SS, restaurants and Bukas too where human meat is sold and cooked same way you buy and cook beef. So stop this sanctimonious, self absorbed attitude and face the reality on ground. While poverty may have pushed others to the dastardly act of ritual murders, the Igbos and certain ethnic groups in the SS relish the consumption of human flesh naturally and culturally. The 1st nationally known ritual killer and seller of human parts was an Igbo man. Clifford Orji.
The Niger- Delta is a description used to capture States in Nigeria within the SS, SE and SW regions that produce oil. Niger-Delta does not refer to a single set of people. Its not a tribe. So it is only foo.ls that refer to themselves as Niger-Deltans.

My parting words. As long as you maintain this horrible hatred of Yorubas as epitomised by the SE; as long as you keep blaming others for your lack of wisdom and arrogance; and as long as you refuse to learn from great leaders of great nations who by diplomacy, inclusiveness, tact and the willingness to share prosperity have built strong democracies and strong nations, you will continue to languish in backwardness and others will continue to hate you back.
