seunmsg:If INEC even compromises the rule to accommodate PDP, they should all expect legal battle thereafter. |
satelliteDISH:Na me be the criminal here? How exactly am I tarnishing Nigeria's image? |
Irrespective of the culprits tribe and region, they've brought shame to Nigeria. The outside world doesn't differentiate between a Yoruba or a Hausa man, between an Igbo or Benin man once a crime has been committed. To them, we are all Nigerians and are viewed with the same spec. |
This serves the dude right. If you can do the crime, be ready to do the time. Got no chill for "get rich quick or die trying" guys. OAM4J Mynd44, let people learn from this please. |
Doha Criminal Court has sentenced a Nigerian expatriate to 20 years in jail and imposed a fine of QR200,000 on him for being involved in narcotics trade. According to local Arabic daily Arrayah, the court also ordered his deportation upon serving the jail term. Besides dealing in marijuana, the man was also convicted for drug consumption. Meanwhile, another Nigerian man who was accompanying the first defendant during his arrest was sentenced to one year in jail and directed to pay a fine of QR200,000 for consuming narcotics. The court also ordered his subsequent deportation. The matter came to light when the first defendant offered to sell a small amount of marijuana for QR5,000 to an undercover police source. Accordingly, the source proceeded with the operation after getting permission from the authorities concerned, the daily said. The two parties met at the designated time and place, somewhere in Mamoura, with the police keeping an eye on the proceedings. When the defendant handed over the contraband to the source and took the money, he was arrested. A search of his vehicle revealed more amounts of marijuana as well as some hashish. Eventually, the court convicted both the men based on the findings of the investigation and police reports. http://www.gulf-times.com/story/501977/Narcotics-trade-Expat-gets-20-years-jail |
leto:The news that says flights have been stopped is DEFINITELY FALSE is flights have not been stopped. The reduction is surely a result of intense competition from new entrants such as Etihad. It definitely will affect Emirates since Etihad is from UAE as well and have eaten into the market share of, not only Emirates but also Qatar Airways. |
If freedom means allowing every Tom, Dicck and Harry steal from the till unchallenged, then he is indeed an Ineffectual Buffoon. If absence of freedom is bringing looters to justice, most Nigerians prefer they are locked up forever for their crime. GEJ is everything a president should not be. Not assertive. Not inspiring. Not decisive. In fact, he was not really in charge of his government. |
nickxtra:Source please! |
Seun, Lalasticlal, Mynd44, This thread needs to be taken to the front page. Be responsible in your news reporting please. It's good to verify news and its source before pushing to fp. |
Another bad news for the mourning wailers. Watch them come here to shout "liar"! The type of affliction they suffer from, may it never befall any of my people. ![]() |
Wailers suffer from brain damage! ![]() |
This topic https://www.nairaland.com/3196627/united-emirates-airline-stop-flights that made the front page this morning should at least have been verified considering the weight of it before pushing it to that prime space. Emirates, Etihad and Qatar Airways are my standard options whenever I plan to travel to Naija; and given that I am in the process of one, my curiosity increased the moment I saw that thread. Thus I logged on to Emirates website to verify the news for myself. The attached proves beyond doubt that Emirates has not stopped flying to and from Nigeria. The booking is for September 15 to October 6 as can be seen on the attached. The source of the news on that thread (Afriwap.com) is sadly a random blog which cannot even compete with Nairaland in terms of brand quality and reach. How Nairaland usually fails to verify news coming from these wacky blog sites beats any common sense. Nairaland should naturally be their go-to site for news and not the other way round. I hope Seun will work to arrest this unfortunate trend that is likely to impact negatively on his brand.

MidasTouche01:Did you serve? If you did, when was it and how was the condition then? Or are you still in school? |
How many of them got debt buy back from AMCON? |
[s] SeverusSnape:[/s] You must be hallucinating! |
[s] SeverusSnape:[/s] Senseless! |
leto:The news in the fp is false then. Not so? |
SeverusSnape: SeverusSnape:A toddler reasons and acts better than this. Your behaviour on this forum shows you're the worst wailing zombie here. Verifiable facts are laid bare before you but since the damage caused by the election loss of the Ineffectual Buffoon is permanent, you can't be redeemed. |
THIS NEWS IS FALSE! WHY IS IT DIFFICULT FOR NAIRALAND TO VERIFY NEWS LIKE THIS FROM RANDOM BLOG SITES BEFORE POSTING AT THE FP? https://www.nairaland.com/3197056/claim-emirates-stops-flights-nigeria |
crownprince102:The news is false. Nairaland is turning to something else. |
Lalasticlala, Mynd44, Seun, Justwise, DisGuy Please do the needful. |

Kudos to the ops team. |
Proudly 5 Percenter. |
Whereas they hail and defend the Dasukis, Sarakis, Mettuhs, FFKs, Fayoses, Diezani et al who stole their future and that of their unborn generations with reckless abandon; these idiots are quick to dispense jungle justice on their fellow oppressed citizens who steal to live. The type of gullibility and backwardness seen in Africans is not even seen in animals. |
I thought the IB would have landed this as a compensation for conceding defeat in an election he lost! ![]() This doesn't change the fact that OBJ was the architect of our recent woes in Nigeria though. |
OjukwuWarBird:SFG under GEJ was a Christian. Head of Service Service Chiefs were mostly Christians There were more Christian ministers than Muslims. Anyway, it's late here. I could have done a simple Google search to provide you names, if not. |
