Gbawe:
Well-said. Nigerians, because of innate bias and a tendency to look at everything sentimentally, fail to see what Tinubu is which is, as you stated exactly, an astute businessman and a very calculative politician. What typified Tinubu for me as a person who covers his back and always 'stays tight' was the political Party auditors report of a few years ago that showed the then ACN was virtually the only major political Party that complied with every single aspect of the law as far as book-keeping and auditing is concerned. PDP was found to be woefully wanting and derelict in its responsibility to file accounts and provide relevant information. Even Buhari's CPC was found wanting.

The moral of the story is that we should all be inspired by a man who studies systems so well and works legitimately to benefit from said system whereas others cut corners and simply disregard the law. The ACN could have been a lawless party like others and even the strict Buhari could not control the slackness of his CPC. Yet the fact APC shone as the most accountable major Party in Nigeria should show some they are better understudying Tinubu than hating him. Tinubu has the awareness and talent to ensure even the smallest details were not ignored when Buhari did. This does not make Buhari bad. It simply means Tinubu is exemplary and misses nothing. In short a master of the game.

Forumites should see for themselves. Being emotional gets us nowhere in life and it will prevent us from learning from characters like Tinubu. We should ask ourselves why Tinubu ensured the APC is praised below in lawless Nigeria where it is far easier to circumvent the law, especially if you are influential, than obey it. Tinubu has survived and thrived for so long because he does everything within the law while others just don't "give a damn" as GEJ announced. Good luck trying to probe Tinubu.

These haters are blinded by hatred and bigotry to acknowledge Tinubu's political and business sagacity. They however silently wish their region could produce anyone with a quarter of his all-round prowess.

Buhari will never get the support of Ndiigbo. Never!

There is nothing like World Igbo Union. Let them keep forming groups for APC, the real Ndiigbo are just watching.

We know wat we want and Buahri know wat we want.

The whole world know wat we want, we have made that known in clear terms.
If Buhari didn't need Igbo support to transform from an opposition candidate to president, why will he need it to win a 2nd term? Head or tail, PMB wins. grin

Babangida has never been indicted too and like Tinubu he's stupendously rich.

We'd like to know Tinubu's source of wealth.
Tinubu is an astute businessman and a very calculative politician.
I can't say he's not corrupt but the fact that he was in opposition for 16 years and the ruling party couldn't nail him with the supposed corrupt practices speaks volume of those regimes.
Success of Buhari's fight against corruption will never be defined by investigating Tinubu. Buhari has no moral reason to do that.

The specifics are with the EFCC. Tinubu has had countless petitions written against him.
You mean countless baseless petitions that Jona and even OBJ could not use to nail him since at least 2007 that he had lost his immunity against prosecution?

Are you aware that ICPC tried and absolved him of all charges in 2012/2013?

Politics › Re: Buhari Will Not Congratulate Bayelsa Governor On His Re-election. by DropShot: 11:58am On Jan 12, 2016

Kencruz:
B-R-E-A-K-I-N-G News!!!
Buhari Will Not Congratulate Bayelsa Governor On His Re-Election.

**he will reclaim Bayelsa through Tribunal or the intimidated and bullied Judiciary as in Abia, Taraba, Akwa Ibom and Rivers state.

Three days after the re-election of Governor Dickson as the Bayelsa state governor, aides and associates of President Muhammadu Buhari have revealed that the President will not congratulate him.

After President Buhari attempts to arm-twist the will of the Bayelsa people with his over 10,000 soldiers, Policemen, Secret Services and para Military officers failed, the embittered President have told his advisers that he will not congratulate Mr Dickson.
Over 20 Bayelsa citizens that tried to defend their votes were gruesomely killed by the securities officers and Buhari's party thugs who were embolden and backed by the Law enforments officers.
They stated that Buhari will not recognize the re-election of Mr Dickson and as what transpired in Abia, Taraba, Akwa Ibom and Rivers state, he will use the election Tribunals or the intimidated and bullied Judiciary to recover the mandate for his friend, Chief Timipriye Sylva.

Chief Timipriye Sylva who was facing $2 billion embezzlement case with EFCC last year was the one that bought and presented the Presidential forms to Buhari, who claimed that he will be fighting corruption.

Buhari forced the EFCC and the court to drop all the charges against Sylva who ruined Bayelsa state single-handedly just because of their lust for conquest of the oil-producing state.
In July, 2012, President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan in less than one hour that election result in Edo state was declared by INEC, congratulated Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State on his re-election for another term in office, against his party, the PDP.
Dr Jonathan did the same for the APGA candidate in Anambra, Osun state (APC) who all defeated PDP candidates.

Politics › Re: Elections Under Goodluck Jonathan And Muhammadu Buhari by DropShot: 10:21am On Jan 12, 2016
Under Jonah 16 was greater than 19.

Under him, 5 HOA members could impeach Speaker

Under him, a lot of innocent souls were lost especially in Rivers, Bayelsa and Akwa Ibom on a scale never witnessed before.

Under him, security personnel coul harrass opposition leaders in Osun and Ekiti.

Under Jonah, election commissioners could write figures "under special circumstances" as revealed by the professor returning officer in Rivers during presidential election.

If making sure that people's votes count will lead to inconclusive elections which will later be concluded credibly, I prefer it.

Politics › Re: Striking Characteristics Of Coup Plotters In Nigeria by DropShot: 9:10am On Jan 12, 2016
APCLyingBastard:
Jan 15, 1966 Coup mid-ranking officers, mainly Ibos , university graduates before joining the army, leftist ideology, Ultra Nationalist outlook.

July, 1966 Counter Coup Northern Junior officers and NCOs (retaliatory and ethno religiously motivated). No clear political outlook. Continued with the policy of nationalization instigated by the Jan 15 coupists.

1975 Colonels Coup composed of Colonels to wrest power for themselves. The plotters of this coup against the Gowon govt where ironically the same set that bought him to power a decade ago. The coup was led by Murtala Mohammed who felt his turn to chop was long overdue. No clear political outlook for the country. Nationalization continua.

1976 Dimka Coup the drunkard's coup. Mainly Christian middle belt officers led by the callous Dimka. Dimka had no problem killing his superior officers as he had gotten away with cold murder of his senior officers a decade ago in the July 1966 counter coup. Dimka's motivation according to his drunken confession was to reinstall Gowon back as head of state. Ironically, Murtala and Dimka left the political scene in the same manner they had entered it - in a hail of Bullets!

1983 Buhari Coup the remnants of the class of July, 1966 where now Generals. This coup consisted of senior northern Muslim officers. motivation was to consolidate their power.

1985 IBB Coup same as above only they wanted to get rid of the stubborn Buhari.

1990 Gideon Okar Coup southern Christian minorities drawn from midranking cadre. In so many ways this coup had all the hallmarks of the Jan 15 coup and was doomed to fail because it was driven by vague ideologies and not pragmatic realities.

As we can see the most successful coup plotters in the history of Nigeria where the class of July, 1966.

The main reason advocated why they were so successful is because unlike their southern colleagues , the northern cadets admitted into the NDA where usually drawn from the same secondary school.

Since the number of schools in the north where outnumbered by 20 to 1 in the south and coupled with lowered enrollment in these same schools alongside Tafa Belewa's quota system which was specifically drawn to ensure that Ibos do not continue to dominate the officer cadet, the 1st and 2nd luitenants that carried out the counter coup of 1966 knew themselves from childhood and had a sense of duty to each other to watch their backs.

Childhood friendships are more powerful than sharing similar ideologies or a beer in the mess.

Waste of time. Doesn't this man know that his detention was granted through court order? The current leave to hold him lasts till Jan 13th.

I am ashamed of this Adegboruwa for the grounds on which he's seeking Mettuh's release. Which court/judge will listen to
his arrest and continued detention was part of a grand ploy by the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, to silence the voice of opposition and make Nigeria a one-party country
without you proving that he has not committed any offence especially when he has onfessed to receiving N400M from Dasuki?

In summary, Mettuh is legally detained and no violation has occurred. His failure to cooperate will make EFCC to secure an extention of your holding order. Thief. Barawo. Ole.

fulanimafia:
That doctored white paper is trash crafted by Wike.

Why? Because the original committee report ABSOLVED Ameachi of all allegations of corruption against him.

Proof? On live national TV during the ministerial screening and the issue was brought up, Ameachi, in the presence of all PDP senators including Akpabio, wielded the original report which vindicated him, and offered to submit it for examination by the Senate, which was turned down by Saraki the Senate President.

Again, this is all on tape and Wike's committee dismissed all allegations against Ameachi, the Lion of Ubima. This was viewed live by millions of Nigerians including my humble self. Seek the 3:40 mark.

Or do you expect EFCC to act on the petition by the Integrity Group that has been discovered to lack credibility?

Ok. We wish Bayelsans good luck in their choice.

And talking about election violence in Nigeria especially the SS zone, it appears they have taken covenant with do or die politics there. In the last presidential election, a lot of APC supporters were murdered in Rivers, Bayelsa, Akwa Ibom and other SS cities while the election was largely peaceful in the North and SW. My point, it's about the people and not about Abuja or APC. So, Fayose, shut up!
