Smartsyn: We should not let our affiliation to a political party blind us to say what is right or wrong. We may be ignoring these red lights now, but may suffer it later. Fighting corruption is fine by me, but do it within the armbit of the law.
We should draw a line between fighting the opposition and fighting corruption. If all the people in government are saints and all the oppositions corrupt, then we should seriously watch this fight against corruption. Has any of those arrested denied collecting money from Dasuki? Did APC join PDP in looting the federal treasury? |

Dasukigate may pale in comparison to the disclosures in customs and NNPC . This reminds me of a statement made by the president while answering an interview question on fight against corruption when he visited India. He had started by saying "if we survive it ......". I suddenly feared for his life because for a president to speak openly like that, he must have known about some sinister plans to eliminate him. The president needs our prayer. |

What am saying is we need more than just bail to cut their strong feathers..
When i stole/embezzled #100k, charging me a bail of #100k will never stop me from tryna stael more than that amount again.
I mean: collect the stolen money, collect same amount 2ce again. and put a heartless rule if such reoccurs again! Ol boy, they still have their dates in court. It's not like their cases have been swept under the carpet. You think these stringent bail conditionas are easy to meet? You think they saw this coming? This kind of bail condition will frustrate their life and they will beg for plea bargaining to even return the alleged stolen funds. Think deep! |

Nigeria... A wonderful country where looters dont go to jail once there is bail and a NOBODY is killed for stealing Thousands.
It hurts..seriously!!!
I LOVE NIGERIA GOD BLESS NIGERIA Do you understand how court prosecutions work? 1. Charge suspects to court. 2. Court grants bail except in very heinous crimes such as murder, treason, etc. 3. Court starts to hear the case which may last several months or even years. What we're witnessing now has never been witnessed in Nigeria before where known figures as Dasuki, Dokpesi, Yuguda, Bafarawa, Haliru Bello and co not only spend days in prison but also were handed very stringent bail conditions. Better days are ahead. |

48hrs has since been exhausted yet he still been held by EFCC while waiting for Buhari order.
is this Democracy or Buhacracy ? Writing statement is not optional. It is mandatory. Refusing to write statement is "criminal" and will most likely compound your case. Call it whatever you like. I no know ooooo. |

The reason Olisa metuh is been held is not $2.1b but Bayelsa election (saturday) and APC plans to completely destroy any opposition party thereby making Nigeria one party state. Leave story. If he didn't get N1.4bn from DasukiGate, no one will harass or arrest him. The fact is he has refused to write another statement on another poser to him. He has not been held beyond 48hours without charging him to court. So, where is the absence of rule of law? |

Apparently dissatisfied with his excuse, the EFCC however arrested him to clarify the “questionable receipts”. Can you imagine the nonsense excuse! These people must think we're still in the era of cluelessness. Magu is not a mugu o. I love this Magu. |

Metuh should be charged to court in accordance with the law not media trials. DSS/EFCC must have gotten their investigation to about 70/80% completion before they arrest suspects. Mettuh refusing to write further statements is only making his case worse. EFCC is not your regular police force. |

ShowYourCertificate: These NGE guys are beating about the bush. We are not asking about the pledge. We are asking about the payment itself.
We know it was the presidency who pledged to donate N50m to them but was the payment done through the office of the NSA or not?
The other guys being probed would also claim the presidency made the promise. But the question is who made the payment (Was it Dasuki?) and from which source (Was is from the Arms Fund?). They should certainly know whether it was Dasuki who paid them the money or not. They should come clean.
And why would they be collecting money from the government in the first place? Isn't that corruption? Didn't you read that the donation was made through Labaran Maku and the cheque deposited in their account with Zennit Bank? |
